Using note 9 since 5 years without any issues. I see very less differences with huge price difference so still going stick with my note 9 untill the price for s23 ultra goes down But next phone is definitely s23 ultra for sure.

Note 9 definitely still holds its own. Very good phone if you still have it. Can't go wrong with either, but overall, much better on the S23 Ultra. Once again, Soto, I love your comparisons and like how you incorporate older phones in competition with today's phones.
Also, the Galaxy S23 Series are supposed to be receiving a camera update around this point in the month, so you can do Portrait 2x Zoom on the Ultra once you get it. Many optimizations to the camera and the overall phone experience, including battery life and the One UI animations/performance. About time, they added the 2x feature. The S21 Ultra I know also has this feature.

I was literally about to push the buy button on a S24 ultra, only for camera improvement. I knew this Note 9 was holding up great, but honestly, other than the camera shudder on the front facing while youre walking, The video is very comparable, the rear camera is even better. Many of the still shots imo went different ways, some I preferred Note 9, some I preferred 24 Ultra, it really just depended on which modes and aspects you were shooting in. Its amazing how great Note has held up, Im going to wait on a a phone upgrade. My note 9 has minimal screen burn, however I may consider a Note 10 if I can find a cheap like new condition one that is unlocked, like I did this Note 9. Thanks for the video!!!

oh wow nighttime note 9 really struggling, at first i thought it was 4k vs 720p or something when watching 1080p night video. But very impressive for its time where prices and videos were just dark for alot of other devices of its time. Buying myself note 9 today for backup and its intresing to see its still very capable device for average use... as long as its not put against todays flagships :D
good test......real world usage need at least a 360 cover here where the finger print on screen s23 have a lot of problem after 3 different cover none works
Watching this on my note 9... still a great device..only problem is battery life & yellowish screen.. otherwise no major issue...only reason to keep this phone is sd card & headphone jack...❤❤
You say you have a yellowish screen, check your display settings, you may have the blue light filter on ! My battery life is still pretty good even after 4 years.

The Note 9 may have poor stabilization by modern standards, but the level of detail and sharpness of it's video is much better than on my old Exynos S21 Ultra. It destroys it at 4K 60. I own both (and an S23 Ultra). My Note 9 is still going strong and I will always love the thing. The S23 Ultra is in another league camera wise though. It is close to perfection.
I think, the note 9 takes it. SD card support. ✅ 3.5mm audio jack. ✅ Iris unlock. ✅ no holes on the screen. ✅ proper finger print reader in the right place. ✅

Note 9 still worth in 2023 and even today in 2024. I have Note 9 and still I love the photos and videos comes out of my note 9. They are contrasty and beautiful to look at.

It appears that the S23U has a little more stability in it's video capture. The Note 9 looks a little shaky but still great for its age.

@BA4MZZ white balance is not a thing to lack. Its always there, warm or cold. Probably you mean that notes 9 camera is overexposing very often
