I just got my Note 9 slightly over one year ago, it's still under warranty. I perceive it as very modern and capable. A design flaw is the fact that the head phone jack is on the bottom side instead of the top, but it's no big problem. Newer Note/ Ultra devices lack the headphone jack and have the spen on the left side which sucks. Punch holes stuck too, they are difficult to tape.

My 9 is lagging and has so many issues. It's aggravating. 2 grand for a new U24 here! Mine is slow, has problems staying online at home, etc. etc. Wish it had expandable storage because I'd have to pay more for more storage. What are the issues you or your family is experiencing?

I just upgraded my trusty Note 9 for the S24+. Verizon gave me $1000 credit for hell's sake, so I'm essentially getting the S24 for free (after 3 years of course). First thing I noticed, was DAMN, my Note 9 has a more vibrant display.
They gave you a thousand dollars to trade your 9 in? That's great. I'm so jealous. We don't have their services here. I'd have loved that. They are $2,000 plus 13% tax plus other fees here and I actually need one desperately with 1 or 2 upgrades in memory.
my note 9 is on life support, i have screen burn and the battery doesn't last. i have to upgrade. i love my note 9 had it for 6 year but i think its time.
I get really emotional when I have to retire a device I love that has served me well, or when I have to trade it in. When I traded in my beloved 11 Pro, I actually teared up in the shop. Totally embarrassing.

S24 Ultra most complete phone since the Note 9 and in the UK the best trade in deals since the Note 9. Having said that I've bought two brand new Note 9 over last few years. They are getting slow now but great for a media player especially as it has a very decent DAC. I'm going to flash Pixel Experience on my 128GB and keep my 512GB as it is. I've got the Exynos versions but back then they were on par. Most complete phone ever and bring back the Iris scanner (less bothered by the sensors now we have smart watches).
I still think my note 9 that I had was my favorite phone ever... My brother is still using it too even though the charging port is busted and the screen cant go above like 20% brightness because the phone is still good.
LMAO my charge port just died in my note 9 and i'm sad. verizon wants me to get the s24 and that's why i'm here. repairing the 9 port will cost 79.00 hmph
Still using my note 9 512gb exynos as my main phone even though i have iphone 14. RUclips videos moviez etc still love to watch in note9 itself n9 a big love 💘
I've had the blue Note 9 since early 2019 i think. I love it. It felt so special when I had it. It looks absolutely stunning without a case 😍😍 But I'm ready for a new one. The battery has been struggling for a while now. I will miss the jack though. I like my wired headset sometimes 😭 But I'm looking forward to a new phone. But I'm keeping my Note 9 as a back up....😜
The only issue on my Note 9 regarding RUclips was the freezing of the comment section / keyboard stuck. The fix I found for this is to toggle on the Google "floating" keyboard when I want to watch some tube. It resolved all of my freezing issues.
I am still using my Galaxy S20 FE. The battery from full lasts around 21 hours depending on the usage and two years, 7 months of owning my phone. I use my phone light to moderate use.
the fact that this phone is every year compared to the new flagship... shows how it's eternal! sadly, it's time to move on because of new software updates
*Looking on possibly upgrading my Note 9 to S24 Ultra* *Sees this video* Wtf, how did this video even... ?? Like I am totally fine with my Note 9. Still working perfectly fine and haven't even replaced the battery ever and somehow its still got really good battery life. Literally the only reason I'm thinking of upgrading right now is because it can't connect to the router's wi-fi 6 5ghz band and is stuck on the slower 2.4ghz band. Seriously though. I'm pretty sure my Note 9 still has at least another year or 2 in it before the battery really starts to decline and it's really hard to part ways with this fully paid off phone for a new rather expensive monthly bill (or huge upfront cost) when its still actively going strong =P
Going need to switch from Samsung to an alternative brand to get the Headphone jack, SD card. Dang phone companies selling cloud storage, bad quality BT headphones
Note 9 was indeed great but lacked alot, the s10/note10 lineup brought meaningful upgrades, the indisplay ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, the hole punch camera, the bezeless display, the amazing design, the new and fancy ultrawide camera, the reverse wireless charging and the list goes on... the only issue I had with the note 9 was having the note 8, how great and similar they were, newer flagship should be compared to the s10/note10 - s20/note20 lineup, note 9 and older it's not even fair, the newer s24u has more in common for example with the old s20u than other devices
@Dicktopus nah man the Aura Glow Note10+ was one of the most beautiful phones i ever had, the prism white s10+ also looked amazing, they looked nothing like their predecessor, note8 and 9 were basically the same phone with bigger battery and lower fingerprint locations
Funny thing is I did update to s24 ultra from note 9 and apart from camera performance and battery life I really don't notice much improvement. If you care about photography GO FOR IT it is soo oooo much better, and battery is fantastic. If you don't care about those two things than don't bother
Have a note 9, it's started to get slow. Always been a refurb guy on SIM only deals. Tried upgrading to a refurb s23 ultra for a day for £630 and agree with you. Battery life was much better, phone much snappier, camera amazing in comparison. But wasn't hugely impressed overall considering the 5 yr difference. I returned the s23 ultra, and replaced the battery on my note 9, but have realised it is deffo a little slow at this point. So just bought an S24 ultra 512gb on contract. Subtracting the cost of if I kept my current SIM only plan for the next 24 months, I'm getting the s24 ultra, an extra 270Gb data and free roaming for a total cost of £860. And I get to keep my note 9 as a backup. At that price, I simply couldn't turn it down.
I upgarded from a note 20 ultra, and i thought I was making a big leap! Killer feature if you use the s-pen is the beautiful flat screen. Period. No S-pens gliding off the edge of the screen anymore.
This video almost makes me wanna buy a Note 9!!😂 I'm holding on to my s22 and a54, I stopped believing they will make a phone that I would like perfectly....
Hey never had a Note 9 looks like I never will but watch the video for the entertainment purposes. Hey on another note did you see that somebody updated the RUclips app so it will work on Windows phones?
I traded my Note 9 for the S24 Ultra, 400 bucks... I really enjoyed the Note 9, and it was also the phone I've used for the longest time. From release until 2022 when I got the S22 Ultra. I miss the iris sensor, though. I think that was one feature that Samsung should've kept. It's way more secure than face recognition.. It made more sense for me to trade it in for 400 than the S22 Ultra for 700..
@@willdavis5127 Don't need the sd slot, I have the 1TB so I'm super good. And that headphone jack is an ancient relic, blue tooth headphones are in! Also, you can get usb-ch ported headphones sold by Samsung.

I cracked my Note9 screen the first month I had it so I think i won't qualify for the trade in if i could trade it in for a large credit to the Ultra I probably would
I used a Note 9 for a while and will never buy one again! It ended up giving me a green screen and no longer working. And that’s the kind of thing I can’t forgive! Currently I use an S23 Ultra and for the moment I am completely satisfied with it. If some people think that the Note 9 suits them, that's good for them. I will never want this “thing” again.
I got $350, for my old S9+, as a trade in on a Flip 5 for my wife, I received $250 on an old iPhone 7 plus towards a Pixel 8 Pro. Definitely, trade in your phone, if you can get a good amount of value. BTW, I got the S9+ for 50% initially, on a promotion, and I paid, $150 for the 7 plus from a friend.
I saw people still holding Note9 despite their wear and tear like s pen worn out, back glass shattered and now upgraded to S24U 😂 and for them its a massive upgrade. Holding 256gb S21fe but still.love Note9 ❤
I think I'll save up for a note 10 plus instead. I do have a note 9 right now but it unfortunately came with the original firmware of oreo 8.1.0 and I don't want to update that. admittedly everything seems way more fitting and fluid on that version compared to the android 10 on my tablet. android 10 doesn't fit with the s pen as good as oreo 8.1.0 does. anyway I think the android 12 on the note10 plus will be sufficient for the next ten years comfortably for at the very least basic features.
Expandable storage is not coming back to the s series. It has been gone for years now. If you want a phone with expandable storage that is the new flagship in 2024 you have to go with Sony. Cause Samsung is not bringing it back just like the headphone jack.
Touchwiz is long gone. the Note 9 launched with Samsung Experience 8.5 and was updated to Samsung Experience 11.5. the S24 is on Samsung Experience 15.0
Out of topic but I'm still using the Nova 5T a phone from 2019 i think which is a midranger and it's 2024 now. It's aight, performance is still snappy but camera aged like milk
I've used my galaxy Note 9 since 5 years ago Have no trouble with the phone except the main camera which got worse compared to the past years The phone is still capable for gaming but it'll be heat if you use it too much I don't even have the Snap dragon version! I'm using the exynos 9810 which is about 15% weaker than SD845 I will retire this phone when galaxy S25 ultra come out
I have 30GB worth of audio and i don't want it to disturb me by taking so much of my fast internal storage. That's the need of an sd card (i got a 128GB sd card). I'd go for the note 20 ultra
Curved screens, IMO suck. Miss the sd slot, though. Held on to my Note 10 until the usb c slot failed. Bailing on the S23U to get away from the curved edges.
I have the s 10 plus and s23 ultra and I also do miss when Samsung gave everything but display , performance ,battery are crucial to me also emulation performance which my s23 ultra is on another higher level. But I do miss micro SD card storage agreed
iPhone 13 Pro Max user and I’m not really liking it very much. I’m wondering which phone on the Samsung side is a good option from the 13 pro max. I had a note 8 but the screen stopped working. And I’m not really a fan of the newer Samsung phones after the s10 series. They just don’t have the charm that the older ones have in my opinion. I do care about camera quality and I want a fantastic display that is as good as the one of the galaxy note 8. I miss that phone. Only thing bad about it was the battery life but I want a phone with great battery life too. I’m so torn on which Samsung phone I want to switch to from my 13 pro max. The note 9 was perfect, the note 10 plus didn’t really move me, same for the note 20 ultra I felt it was just too much the same as the note 10 plus, the s22 ultra was nice but I was hesitant on it because of the things I’ve heard about the battery life and the phone heating up that it swayed me away from choosing it, & the s23 ultra it’s fantastic but it’s just too expensive for me and it was kinda “meh” for me, but it’s not bad. I’m in the situation where i want to get another phone as soon as possible. The note 8 spoiled me for smartphones, I loved it too much.
It's actually really easy. Get the S24 Ultra. 13 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max is a mixed upgrade and I'm not a fan of the dynamic island cutting into videos. I've had the S24 Ultra a week now. As it finally had a flat display it was time and it's best phone since the 9 outside of the 13 Pro Max 😂

I have note9 dropped 3 feet on to a concrete pebble small or busted and goes to long crack lines. How do you go about the older models have to pay upfrontfrom which seller online or is that how you get one? like the Note 20. How not at the store probably have to pay upfront for one?
@@strat_1880 new old stock or used
I just upgraded my trusty Note 9 for the S24+.
@flowergirlabc123 yea but they will divide that $1k into 36mos and will credit it to your monthly bill
my note 9 is on life support, i have screen burn and the battery doesn't last. i have to upgrade. i love my note 9 had it for 6 year but i think its time.
I get really emotional when I have to retire a device I love that has served me well, or when I have to trade it in. When I traded in my beloved 11 Pro, I actually teared up in the shop. Totally embarrassing.
But understandable!!
@@StevealiciousTech It felt like I was abandoning it.,😅
@@Gary0557omg I totally understand it's cus our phones are our constant companions other than our animals hack even more than them unless we take our little pups with us everywhere. Congratulations on the 15PM
@@katinasoutherland7693 I felt like I was abandoning a friend. Totally ridiculous I know.
I traded in my note 9 for S24 ultra got $505
My I ask how?
@@johnhoover7869 That seems high. I got $400 on my preorder special with a note 9 turn on, that was in perfect condition. I think he may be adding the discount to the trade in number. I just received mine today and posted my unbox video
About how much would give for a small bust spot with crack lines at the bottom rightside area?
S24 Ultra most complete phone since the Note 9 and in the UK the best trade in deals since the Note 9. Having said that I've bought two brand new Note 9 over last few years. They are getting slow now but great for a media player especially as it has a very decent DAC. I'm going to flash Pixel Experience on my 128GB and keep my 512GB as it is. I've got the Exynos versions but back then they were on par. Most complete phone ever and bring back the Iris scanner (less bothered by the sensors now we have smart watches).
me who's still using the Note 8 💀 (i cant afford a new one tho)
I watched this video on my Note 9. My phone does everything I need it to do. I'll upgrade when my phone breaks or it becomes 10 years old
I still think my note 9 that I had was my favorite phone ever...
My brother is still using it too even though the charging port is busted and the screen cant go above like 20% brightness because the phone is still good.
I never had the Note 9, but the Note 10 was fantastic!
S23U and holding. Good phone. 24U seems minimal refresh.
I just upgraded from my note 9 to s24 ultra. Not impressed at all. Not much difference
Im using s9 plus and i love it ive got £1500 to buy a new phone but i dont know what to buy so until i decide il keep using my 9plus
When color do you have when I had the s9 I had it lyic purple
LMAO my charge port just died in my note 9 and i'm sad. verizon wants me to get the s24 and that's why i'm here. repairing the 9 port will cost 79.00 hmph
I love my Note 9!
Not a bad price. You should go for it
Still using my note 9 512gb exynos as my main phone even though i have iphone 14. RUclips videos moviez etc still love to watch in note9 itself n9 a big love 💘
This video is awesome. I have and love my Note 9 but I think it's time. You helped me make up my mind. I hope the 400 offer is still good.
Great video but i still using note 9 as my daily i love it still😅
The note9 camera colors look better and are more accurate, s24 looks washed.
Note 9 user here.
If I had the Galaxy Note 9 to this day, I wouldn't upgrade for a long time.
I've had the blue Note 9 since early 2019 i think.
I love it. It felt so special when I had it.
It looks absolutely stunning without a case 😍😍
But I'm ready for a new one. The battery has been struggling for a while now.
I will miss the jack though. I like my wired headset sometimes 😭
But I'm looking forward to a new phone.
But I'm keeping my Note 9 as a back up....😜
The youtube app is starting to glitch alot on the s9/note 9 series now
The only issue on my Note 9 regarding RUclips was the freezing of the comment section / keyboard stuck. The fix I found for this is to toggle on the Google "floating" keyboard when I want to watch some tube. It resolved all of my freezing issues.
@@615JOHNLEEWow Thank you 🙂 yes this is the only issue on my Note 9 too. I will try the floating option.
The RUclips comments freezing is a universal RUclips problem not a note 9 problem.
S24 Ultra is hands down the best phone I've ever used. And I'm an Apple fan boy.
*Looking on possibly upgrading my Note 9 to S24 Ultra*
*Sees this video*
Wtf, how did this video even...
I miss the note 9
Going need to switch from Samsung to an alternative brand to get the Headphone jack, SD card. Dang phone companies selling cloud storage, bad quality BT headphones
I have S24 Ultra Titanium Blue 1TB, but I still LOVE my Note 9!! Kept it for back up and just because I have a hard time letting things go.....
Imo n9 looks better than the 10 and 10+. Especially the blue one.
Thanks for this info. I have note 9 and dont care for pics and battery since my note 9 is ricking solid. I will sit tight.
This video almost makes me wanna buy a Note 9!!😂 I'm holding on to my s22 and a54, I stopped believing they will make a phone that I would like perfectly....
phones are just not worth over 1k. theyre barely upgrades and removed tons of great features
Or you can get a Sony Xperia with the headphone jack and expandable storage
Also such trade in deals are not always as attractive outside the US
Certainly not the same deals. 2 thousand plus 13%tax plus environmental fees etc. Oh baby, they are so costly.
Hey never had a Note 9 looks like I never will but watch the video for the entertainment purposes.
Hey on another note did you see that somebody updated the RUclips app so it will work on Windows phones?
Ohhhhhh really? Which app?
I traded my Note 9 for the S24 Ultra, 400 bucks... I really enjoyed the Note 9, and it was also the phone I've used for the longest time. From release until 2022 when I got the S22 Ultra.
I miss the iris sensor, though.
I think that was one feature that Samsung should've kept. It's way more secure than face recognition..
It made more sense for me to trade it in for 400 than the S22 Ultra for 700..
the only reason I'm upgrading my note 9 to s24u is it's gotten so slow and the back panel adhesive is giving out.
My first flagship phone was the Note 9. Now I have the S24 Ultra! Man, how time has changed! 😂
Any diff besides the spen?
@@willdavis5127 Yea. Better battery, camera, and performance quality. Also, A.I is turning out to be very useful.
@@KingMK31 checkout the brightness comparison between the two. Plus don't u miss the SD card slot, and headphonejack?
@@willdavis5127 Don't need the sd slot, I have the 1TB so I'm super good. And that headphone jack is an ancient relic, blue tooth headphones are in! Also, you can get usb-ch ported headphones sold by Samsung.
I'm currently working on being able to afford at least a Note20 Ultra.
I felt this was a personal attack. How did bro get this so right?
I have the Note 10 ...an been thinking about upgrading but it's a good phone
I had the samsung galaxy s23 ultra, but i am giving it too my sister, last Monday i picked up my samsung galaxy s24 ultra i love this phone, i wanted the violet version.
I bought my note 9 1 week before the 10 came out it has been a Fantastic phone and I have Had absolutely no desire to update until i saw the S24 Ultra now im torn on what to do.
They are $350 off now with no exchange so... I wonder if they still offer $400 off for trade in...
Still have my note 9 but I only joined Apple because of Face ID and love the keyboard layout of Apple but my note nine is still nice
I am clinging onto it for dear life!
Steve, most people use their phones for texting, SoMe, that's it. I say, keep it.
It's kinda like a car: if it's still working reasonably and doing what you need it to do, then keep using the Note9. Otherwise shop around for newer.
m still using note 9❤
I loved my Note 10+ with 5G and 512MB memory and a removal micro-SD card slot. But I have an S24 Ultra now.
I'm trying to go from s10+ to something
I think I'll save up for a note 10 plus instead. I do have a note 9 right now but it unfortunately came with the original firmware of oreo 8.1.0 and I don't want to update that. admittedly everything seems way more fitting and fluid on that version compared to the android 10 on my tablet. android 10 doesn't fit with the s pen as good as oreo 8.1.0 does.
anyway I think the android 12 on the note10 plus will be sufficient for the next ten years comfortably for at the very least basic features.
Samsung MUST bring back expandable storage to the S Series or I will hold on to my Note 9 for another year. OR offer the 1TB memory phone at ATT.
Expandable storage is not coming back to the s series. It has been gone for years now. If you want a phone with expandable storage that is the new flagship in 2024 you have to go with Sony. Cause Samsung is not bringing it back just like the headphone jack.
Lol. We must pressure Samsung to bring SD card slot back
i loved my note9. just got its replacement... s24u today!
I've used my galaxy Note 9 since 5 years ago
Have no trouble with the phone except the main camera which got worse compared to the past years
The phone is still capable for gaming but it'll be heat if you use it too much
I don't even have the Snap dragon version!
I'm using the exynos 9810 which is about 15% weaker than SD845
I will retire this phone when galaxy S25 ultra come out
No problems with my S23 Ultra. Ima keep it!
Bailing on the S23U to get away from the curved edges.
everything in this note 9 phone was perfect except that curved screen which i dont liked at all
But u know note 9 with exynos can have android 13 and oneui5 with soft from xda? :D
I change to s24 because my N9 was damage :(
I have the s 10 plus and s23 ultra and I also do miss when Samsung gave everything but display , performance ,battery are crucial to me also emulation performance which my s23 ultra is on another higher level. But I do miss micro SD card storage agreed
Guys it's time to stop with the note 9 and come over to the note 24 I mean s24 ultra
My Note 3 imploded before I finally upgraded to my Note 9 😑
iPhone 13 Pro Max user and I’m not really liking it very much.
@@richarddcrossley okay thanks. I was just thinking of that one. I want one so badly. It’s so futuristic, I regret not using it at bestbuy the other day

Hold on to your note 9. Still going strong
I upgraded but I still like note 9 better. Why are the icons so damn big on the s24? Looks cartoony
