Also Tom was ready to fuck someone else on his bachelor party and did have sex with someone else and was pretty enthusiastic about asking Shiv about it. Maybe his behaviour led her to think he might be okay with an open marriage or does everyone genuinely think that bachelor parties are some kind of exception to monogamy.

The thing people have gotta remember about Sugar is she's the youngest. Carmy AND Michael are able to operate without Sugar, but Sugar has always had those two as old brother figures. Michael was a mess, and (for reasons the show will go into later) Sugar felt like she had to smooth out his rough edges and help him be 'calm'. And then he killed himself. Despite financially, socially and physically better off than Michael, Carmy really is dancing on that same cliff and it's scaring the shit out of Sugar.

But I see her pushing at Carmy because she wants her brother to be ok. She’s like a mom to Carmy. And moms notoriously will try and make their kids aware of everything even if it contradicting. I am glad Carmy can talk with his sister, I’m not from Chicago but the people I know who were born and raised there are naturally sarcastic. I’m so glad y’all are checking this out.

Richie is hanging about, drafting off Mikey's charisma. Sugar kinda does/ kinda doesn't want to be involved, but is cut out anyway. And Carmy drops in once Mikey stops working, and finishes the braciole.
Richie is spiraling right now, and partly it's because he has no idea how to express or what to do with all his grief over Mikey killing himself. Mikey was like his brother, his ride-or-die. Now he doesn't even have time to process Mikey committing suicide before Mikey's little brother comes in and tries to change everything. Even if deep down he knows it's for the best, to him, it feels like disrespecting the memory of Mikey and replacing him before the body is even cold. It's not rational, but grief is never rational.
So I’ll be the first to admit when I first met Tina and she was being nasty and even sabotaging is was like fire her instantly. But getting to see her grow and defend what’s happening in the restaurant gives me such a 180 in terms of how I see her :) very human. Great writing all around.
