Id love that. Just got this installed not even 10 minutes ago with the help of your video, i have my amp wiring kit to hook up a new all in one under seat sub and a separate amp for some component speakers to go into with some tweeter trim for my lx model that i got off amazon (saw the same thing on ebay that i think you referenced) thank you for the thorough rundown! Definitely looking forward to getting the rest of the sound system setup, this is my first real attempt at a whole car upgrade

@@bkejme you'll have to email them for the CANbus that keeps the moving reverse lines and the option to turn on the remote wire for a sub amp is hidden under the bass enhancement page under the EQ app. I put a 12 in mine and spent 40 minutes trying to figure out why my sub amp wouldn't work 😅
I recently purchased the Joying JY-HQ145N4G-B for my 2019 Honda Civic LX. I had it installed, correctly but the steering wheel controls still do not work. I’ve restarted the monitor, I’ve factory rest it, taken the wires out completely and replugged them in multiple times but nothing seems to work. Do I need to send it back and get another one?
I would definitely contact them. Mine has been really great. Word of advice, though. The microphone that comes with the unit is pretty decent and kinda fits in the factory overhead where the stock mic is at. I removed the stock mic and for now just kinda wedged it in there with the foam around it. It friction holds very well. I did the same routing for the gps antenna and it's been way less flaky. I ran them down the driver side pillar, where the airbag is located, then up and behind the pedals. There's just enough wire to make it. I also ran a sub with the remote out and the sub rca out to a bridged mono amp... If you do that, you need to make sure the amp switch is turned in in equalizer, bass enhancement, subwoofer
I put one in my son's 2019 Sedan LX and one in my 2019 Hatch EX. I needed a different CANBUS decoder box to make it work. The one that came with it was reddish in color from Simple Soft if I recall... Joying support sent us two Raise boxes instead. I put one in my car, works great, haven't gotten to my son's yet. I had read online others independently purchased one that also worked (from Aliexpress) so I picked on of those up, it arrived the same day as the Joying replacements. It was a HiWorld HDF3.20(GB). Both of these replacement boxes restored moving steering lines on my car. I haven't calibrated them properly yet, but they do move. Hope this helps.
@@stevenpalm9484 many thanks for all of that helpful information! I don't have moving lines on mine but since it's an LX, I'm assuming it might not have the functionally built in. Let me know if you get moving lines on your son's car. Other than that and the night icons sometimes showing up during the day and vice versa, I really like the unit. can you do a follow up video showing how you routed the microphone to the factory location i currently have mine clipped under the steering wheel so its pretty hidden but i’d like for it to be in the factory spot so it can pick up audio besides the driver side
I should do a follow-up on the mods I've done... So it does and it doesn't. It won't with the way that the unit is set up, but I managed to make it work by rigging up a microphone jack and tapping into the factory harness where the microwave wires go, but i was told it sounded bad. I removed the factory mic and ran the new mic up the driver's side pillar, across the headliner and kinda wedged it into the spot where the factory mic was by putting the new mic into the foam that came with it as a temporary solution and since then, I've called many people and nobody has complained about sound quality. I'd say that's a win Yes you can answer the phone with the steering wheel
I was considering to purchase one of these for my civic, but what I've been hearing is the external mic sucks. However, I don't really use a lot of call while I drive, but do you recommend any external mic for this headset?
I'm using the mic that came with it. I ran it up into the factory mic location after trying to get the factory mic to work successfully with the unit. I got the factory mic to work, but it apparently sounded worse than the included one. I occasionally hear that it doesn't sound great, but otherwise, i haven't had any major issues. I also don't use it very often, so take that with a grain of salt.
