Though Gogmazios will probably always be my favorite Elder Dragon in the series, I do love this thing's theme. Especially when the choir is repeatedly singing the first few notes of the upbeat part of "Proof of a Hero". Something about it is just pure genius.
I genuinely believe that soloing safi in multiole tries that took me hours was the single best gaming exoerience i ever had just because of its soundtrack. The multiple phases build uo incredibly to its finale. And epic tone guiding you through uos and downs, making you feel triumphant and confident but then breaking you by mimic in a sped up heartbeat to actually raise your heartbeat too?!?! All the while the visuals and game lkre tell you that youre fighting a calamity that genuinely despises your existence 😂 as frustrating as it is doing this solo when its actually meant to be a multilayer thing its infinitely more rewarding to succeed.

Organic spikes with a realistic design and placement to them (sometimes with an actual purpose) vs. Plastic-looking, neon spikes in random, unnecessary parts of the body where they would serve no purpose. That’s not to say Frontier doesn’t have some fantastic and truly inspired designs that are outlandish but still work (look at Kuarasepusu), but most people, when defending Frontier’s spikes, don’t actually see the difference between Frontier and actual organic spikes.

I'm only going by Oceaniz's video, but I think the Safi we fought was an elder sibling of the Xeno'jiva we fought - it had hatched from its cocoon as a Xeno before the Seeker had discovered the Confluence of Fates and escaped into the Guiding Lands, leaving us to fight its younger sibling.
I'll join you on that. I haven't hunted Safi yet, and even when I do, I doubt that I'll properly be able to wrap my head around this being even related to Xeno...

To be fair, he's one of the very few monsters of this game with spike-syndrome, and even they're fairly placed and evened out. Could be a lot worse.
