Had my first sculptra treatment 5 months ago. Really pleased with the results, it has given me my natural looking face again. Filler made my face look too bulky and square. It is a little more intense than filler, since they are using a cannula and moving that around, but the results are worth it. I had no problems with nodules, but it is very important to massage your face and spread the product around for that first 5 days.
Got my 1st sculptra treatment 2 weeks ago!! I LOVED the way it looked at first! I am so excited to see the results over time. I have tried to educate myself on this treatment, as I am 41 years young & am trying so hard to take care of myself & age gracefully (& slowly 😉). I wish I would have used sunscreen & stayed out of the sun when I was younger. I also tragically lost my teeth when I was in my early 30s due to genetic disorders. People have no idea how hard something like that is to go through, and the bone loss is tremendous. I do have implants & that has helped. I'm hoping & praying that sculptra will be life-changing for me. Thank you so much for all your videos on sculptra, I've watched them over & over. Much love from East Tennessee 🧡
Many people are asking about nodules. That's what I was concerned about at first, but my doctor prepared the solution 7 days before the procedure. I'm doing face massage dilligently (I push quite hard) and so far I have had no side effects. It's been only a couple of months, but I already see restoration of overall volume. I give it 5/5 :)
What about if you take internal collagen supplements and internal hyaluronic acid? What effect do those supplements have in the Sculptra approach to collagen enhancement?
I'm really interested in Sculptra for my temples, but, like filler, I'm afraid of injecting in higher risk areas. Is the risk of vascular occlusion the same? And since it can't be dissolved, what's the protocol in the event that it somehow happens?
Great question. With Scultpra the risk of vascular occlusion is still possible but WAY less possible because it’s particles suspended in water vs. a gel with filler. If it were to happen I would suggest using saline to try and flush the vessel from being occluded. I do Sculptra to my temples.
@@wem-c9f Yes, it’s rare but nodules can happen and we think it’s most likely due to more collagen forming in one area which is why it’s important to massage the areas after your treatment. No I don’t have a video on that.
I’m booked in for my first 3 vials in a couple of weeks. The dr explained the process thoroughly but I do have to say I’m concerned about the injections going in my temple area and near the mouth . I’m not scared of needles , I have them daily for diabetes and other chronic conditions but injecting in the face has be worried . I will be having 2 sessions 6 weeks apart x 3 vials .
Hi Tracy. It can be uneasy to think about doing your face, and specific areas on your face if you have never had it done before. Thing is, if your temples are hollow and you restore the lost collagen to the other areas of your face and not your temples, it will look odd. When I used to treat my mid face with filler I noticed that on pictures my temples did not match, and it looked odd. If your provider thinks you need the temples going to make for a more natural result. Adding volume to temples that have lost volume can be sooooooooo beautifying, especially around the eyes. I will eventually do a video about temples. Hope you subbed and turned on notifications.
All I can say is with Scultpra, it really stimulates collagen. You just have to make sure you do enough treatments depending on your age and how much volume loss you have. I’m not as big of a fan of devices in stimulating collagen because I feel Sculptra does the best job out of any injectable or laser/device we have. Devices are very operator dependent and also depends on how many treatments you get. Also I don’t do thermage, so I’m familiar with it but I have never had it done because I don’t feel the need for it.
@NaturalInjector Thank you for your response. I am 43 and recently lost a lot of weight. work out 6x per week. Sometime twice a day. I value your input. Thank you so much for your advice. Blessings😊
Thanks for the information-I love your videos 🤍🙂. Have you treated patients with just a single vial of Sculptra? I’ve been seeing that a lot of doctors/injectors say that you won’t see much (if any) of a difference with just a vial. I just had my first vial injected about 3 weeks ago & can’t tell if it’s just the placebo effect but I feel like there’s something different about my face already (not necessarily more volume but maybe more glowy than before?).
Hi Christina. I rarely treat patients with one vial but in the case where I have it’s been on patients who are just starting to notice the aging process. So they’re maybe in their late twenties or early thirties. Also they usually end up getting another vial a few months later. I’m so glad you found the videos helpful!
Could you also talk about nodules formed on face because of sculptra ? What are the reasons it happens and how to avoid them? Please please make a video on it
Sculptra can create nodules (granulomas) especially if someone has an autoimmune disease. These side effects are well mentioned to all practitioners trained to inject Sculptra and it’s a serious risk to take into account
I just found your videos and subscribed! My question: how do you know when your problem is more fat pad descent so instead you should get a facelift to bring the underlying muscles up vs getting filler? Thank you
Thanks for subscribing! If you have a certain amount of loss of elasticity, hanging skin, then surgery is a better option for you. There is no way for advise on that unless I can see the loss of elasticity you are referring to.
Thank you for providing this information. I'm interested in this option because I have a slender face and thin body type. However, I'm wondering if it may cause an immune reaction in some people? I had a significant inflammatory/immune response to the Covid vaccine that lasted months, and now I'm concerned I may respond in this way to other injectables. Have you seen negative reactions with Sculptra?
I have never seen this reaction from Sculptra. I don’t believe there have been any reported cases inflammatory responses to Sculptra. Glad you found the video helpful 👍.
Which one is more expensive? Just got filler which is one syringe at $850. I was thinking of Ultherapy, but this option of Sculptra seems like another great option for me.
It all depends on which filler and the provider. Everyone sets their own prices but Sculptra’s pricing in general slightly more expensive or just a expensive as a long lasting filler.

Thank you for your kind words 🙏. I have actually never done PDO threads. I don’t love the idea of them to correct or prevent facial aging. To me it’s just like a thumb tack to hold the skin up and I’m not sure the results last a long time either.
Hi great info and what about Radiesse filler ? I read that its also creates collagen, but at the same time has more visible results all along . Could you please explain the difference thank you kindly and have a blessed day 🙏🧡
Great question. I have used Radiesse in the past (not hyperdilute) and I really feel that it’s more of a filler. I know the company says that you can hyperdilute it and that it’s more of a collagen stimulator but I don’t feel that it is. It’s hard to assess whether it is because it does immediately fill the tissue so I find it hard to assess the collagen stimulation because it’s filling the skin and providing instant results just like filler would, and those results last for months, (just like a filler would). Because Sculpta goes away in a few days and you go back to baseline you know that any result in skin thickening in the next few months has to be from the collagen stimulation so it’s easier to assess collagen stimulation.
Hey Emily, is it true that Sculptra can be prepared fresh on the day of injections? I understand that it has to be prepared a day or earlier in advance but the rules seem to have changed. Thanks.
Great question. So recently there have been studies that show that Sculptra can be prepped the same day of injection with rigorous shaking of the vial etc etc. but I still prefer to have it sitting for at least a week.

Hi Hannah. There’s a chance that it may not be as effective or it may possibly be more effective in those with connective tissue disorders. There is no research that’s been done so I can’t tell you for sure but I did discuss your question with Dr. Mest who I work with. He’s one of the first Sculptra users in the country and he said he has treated people with connective tissue disorders with no issues so far. Hope that helps.
How common are lumps from Sculptra and how is this effect avoided? If it happens, how is it treated? I'm interested in getting Sculptra done as I've heard of too many issues with filler, but I'm wary of this.
I have not had nodules happen in years. The very fist 2 times I started Sculptra years ago, I had small nodules to my temples that only I could feel if I pressed really hard on my skin in 2 areas of my face that Sculptra was injected to. They were not visible to the skin and most nodules that form are not visible to the skin only the patient, if they’re pressing really hard, they may be able to feel them. Most of the nodules were from years ago when Scultpra was used at a much smaller dilution. I had one patient who developed a visible one to her temples. She was over 70 years old and had very think skin. We treated it by injecting it with saline and lidocaine over a few sessions. Most likely, Massaging after treatment and having your provider use an adequate amount of the diluting agent can help avoid nodules.
You’re the second person who has mentioned Ellanse. I would not be able to tell you because here in the US we only have Scultpra. Does Ellanse come in a vial like Sculptra does?
@@NaturalInjector Maybe I am the first hehehehe... Ellanse did good for my hands but I am wary about it used on the face and neck cos of nodules. Someone had it done and got a nodule at her NBF and she warned me against using it. Ellanse is not good on neck as well.
Ellanse did good for my hands but I am wary about it used on the face and neck cos of nodules. Someone had it done and got a nodule at her NBF and she warned me against using it. No you should not use it for the lines directly above the lips but you can check out this video for smokers lines 👉 ruclips.net/video/a-YKTyYbnz0/видео.html
Because I put most of it in the oral commisures and that area is very close to the lips so you can’t do Sculptra this close and I use filler more so for the superficial lines, which you can’t really use Sculptra to. I still do my NLF’s with Sculptra though so there is a mixture of both but I feel Sculptra does a better job of correcting the actual folds but you can’t use it that close to the lips so you will need to use a filler for the oral commisures and I also have a very small line to the peri oral area that I use filler to as well.
I had Sculptra injected on both of my cheeks for my rolling acne scars about 11 months ago. I received noticeably more filler on my left cheek and almost a year later that side of my face still looks a bit fuller than the other. It isn’t obvious to people around me, but if I take a picture for an ID it is noticeable. My question is, is this fullness due to the precence of Sculptra still under the skin, or is this due to newly formed collagen? And if it’s the latter, will the collagen gained from Sculptra eventually break down quicker and make my face symmetrical again, or will that side always remain larger in relation to the rest of my face?
The fullness you get from Sculptra is from the formation of collagen. It will eventually break down because as we continue to age we lose collagen. I am not sure if it breaks down faster or slower than the collagen we form on our own (without the help of Sculptra). There is no way for me to know if it will remain larger than the other side of your face. Only time will tell. It also depends on how many vials you did, you mentioned you got Sculptra for rolling acne scars and I’m not familiar with this technique as I use Sculptra for global volume loss.
@@NaturalInjector So this means that Sculptra would be great for areas like the lateral cheeks and buccal areas where volume loss has occurred? I have used filler like Juvederm but I burn filler really fast and within a year I am looking gaunt again. :(
@@wem-c9f Yes I LOVE Sculptra to these areas. The lower cheeks (where ppl get buccal fat removal). I get really gaunt to these areas too and when I used filler there in the past it didn’t last very long likely because of the cardio I do for workouts.
I don’t like sculptra , takes too long to work. You just have to wait and wait wait for it to work. You need multiple vials which cost so much. I can do once of a thick filler, lasts me 3 years or more. So I think it’s abit of a money grabber.
Yes it can! But of course if you have lost a lot of elasticity a facelift may be a better option. I have done Sculptra on people in their 70’s with great results!
I bought into the theory and claims of Sculptra, but after 4 visits with a known expert, I can not see even the tiniest of improvement. Nothing. I'm looking for other options to try now.

Yes you can but it takes a ton of vials and in most cases it may be more cost effective to do a BBL
@@NaturalInjector Thank you for the response!
I was recommended ellansé as opposed to sculptra. I'm still waiting to see the final results. Which one is better?
Ellanse is not good on neck as well. Sculptra can certainly cause nodules on the face as well. So you went for Ellanse on your face? How is it now?
@@wem-c9f I did and have no nodules. The results are subtle, and good. But, the problem is that my face is very slim. Apparently improper injection tecnique can cause granulomas too.
@@wem-c9f So many ppl have asked me about Ellanse, it must be very similar to Sculptra. I’m curious, where do you live?? (Ellanse it’s not approved here in the US.)
Fillers are only temporary. I rather do threads , or sculptors . I won’t waste my money on fillers . Let’s save us money . Thank you for all your post !
@@Ms17796 Thanks for sharing your opinion. I do fillers have their place, especially around the eyes and in and around the lips.
Can you use sculptra under the eyes and in the neck for the rings around the neck
No you should not treat these areas with Sculptra. It’s best to use a Hyaluronic acid filler for these areas.
you could use threads
Would it work for smokers lines?
No you should not use it for the lines directly above the lips but you can check out this video for smokers lines 👉 ruclips.net/video/a-YKTyYbnz0/видео.html
Why did you get filler in the smile lines instead of Sculptra?
@@NaturalInjector I appreciate the thorough response. This was a lot more helpful than my dermatologist’s one line answers haha
@@bluesummers5051 Glad I could be of help 😊
@@NaturalInjector So this means that Sculptra would be great for areas like the lateral cheeks and buccal areas where volume loss has occurred? I have used filler like Juvederm but I burn filler really fast and within a year I am looking gaunt again. :(
@@wem-c9f Yes I LOVE Sculptra to these areas. The lower cheeks (where ppl get buccal fat removal). I get really gaunt to these areas too and when I used filler there in the past it didn’t last very long likely because of the cardio I do for workouts.
Can this be done to give me a more round face
Yes it can give the face more softness and roundness if they are strategic in where to place the Sculptra based on your face shape and features
Is filler worth it for the hips
Just confirming, you don’t need sculptra until you see visible signs of aging? I am 22 and have signs of aging, but want to be preventive

🙌 👍
Also fat transfer is great too
I don’t like sculptra , takes too long to work. You just have to wait and wait wait for it to work. You need multiple vials which cost so much. I can do once of a thick filler, lasts me 3 years or more. So I think it’s abit of a money grabber.
@AngeliqueASMR so you didn’t get any results after first session??
Omg this is the best info! Thank you! Can this work on a 58 year old!? Will it lift jaw line? ❤️❤️
Yes it can! But of course if you have lost a lot of elasticity a facelift may be a better option. I have done Sculptra on people in their 70’s with great results!
@@NaturalInjector how long does it take for results?
@@MyMaria1224 Check out 2:29. 1-3 months. 3 months is about when I have ppl come back in to compare photos
Hi does this apply to the buttocks sculptra fillers?
You can use Sculptra to the buttocks
I bought into the theory and claims of Sculptra, but after 4 visits with a known expert, I can not see even the tiniest of improvement. Nothing. I'm looking for other options to try now.
Sorry to hear this. Did you look at your before and after photos together with your provider and they agreed there was no change?
@@NaturalInjector Unfortunately, they have been trained to lie to their clients. The ladies at the spa (employees) act like I've made such a positive transformation, that I should be expecting a popular Talk Show to contact me to hear my story. When they do this, I just laugh to myself and shake my head. There is absolutely no way any of the employees or the owner are going to agree that I have experienced "zero" results. And this is after we sit and look at the before-and-afters. I suspect this procedure works great on some people and not at all on others. Unlike something like Botox which works 100% of the time. So, going forward, I'm researching what options i should try next.
Is this for lips too?
Great question. No Sculptra should not be used in the lips
Hello,
Is it normal to feel a hardening of the skin tissue on the cheeks while you smile, as if the smile got "shorter" after the final results? I did 1 vial of sculptra and ultraformer, not sure which one of those produced this effect. Thanks in advance and congrats on the good content!
Not sure what you mean by hardening as that can be subjective. Scultpra feels like your real skin, as mentioned in the video. Also not sure what ultraformer is. Did you follow up with your provider who treated you?
I get sick from sculptra.... for weeks. Why?? I only had one treatment.
What can I do.. .
I have never heard of someone getting sick from Sculptra. How do you know it was from Sculptra?
@@NaturalInjector I WAS SO TIRED, and burning in my face.
It started as SOON as she started injecting.
Maybe the numbing stuff. Idk.
But I loved results, just took few weeks to feel better.
@@suzihazlove4979 Oh really, I’ve never had someone tell me it burned. They feel the pain from the needles of course, but I’ve never had anyone tell me it burns. The numbing solution should make you feel more numb if anything. So glad you loved the results! I can’t wait to get my Sculptra done again!
@@suzihazlove4979 in some time or maybe even years from now there will prob be all kind of studies and ppl confirming what you experience and they may pull it off the market like so many things that were once the hype and everyone jumping on the same bandwagon until it showed it wasn’t that great after all

In other words fillers are more generic look and sculptura more authentic look.
In general Sculptra gives more of a natural look because it’s growing in your own collagen. However, you can do fillers and the result look natural but it’s a lower threshold of going overboard.
