I love all 3 versions of this song! Each one has a different feel, but I’ve got to admit the car park attendant one is my absolute favourite cause you can see their personalities amongst the amazing music, singing, rapping and lyrics. Also just noticed they didn’t even have a car parked in there 😂 makes it 10x funnier that they’re just walking out the exit 😆

I love how Sam looked slightly shook when the attendant showed up, but gained so much confidence after Ren just kept going. Ren is the epitome of "DGAF" lol

Yo! I read that one of the instruments making unusual noises in the official MV is a kazoo that Ren recorded and then altered. I have no idea if that's true but with Ren it totally could be!
As someone else has mentioned, the MC Sessions is a live version with decent recording, so it is probably the cleanest listen if you fancy a fourth completely different take!

I think this vid makes two things clear:
Ren mixes and produces his own music way better than anyone else.
2) He was born to perform his live performances have a vibrancy that is not quite there in his studio sessions.
Third? This doesn’t need to be said but Sam really, really has a great voice.

I'm soooooo glad you did the music video and them doing it live. I fell bad when I see reactors only react to the music video cause like you your, it sounds like 2 different songs. I prefer the live version though.
The story behind Ren meeting Sam is pretty awesome. Ren was out busking trying to make some money and he wasn't feeling too well cause of the Lyme disease so he packed up and when he was leaving the area he saw this 15 year old kid singing his ass off but he didn't have any equipment. No PA system to sing through, no guitar amp, nothing. So Ren offered up the his equipment and even he even played guitar for him and they both instantly hit it off and killed it. They made a decent amount of money and when Sam when he tried giving half to Ren he told him to keep it! They've been friends ever since.
Sam opened up for Justin Bieber not that long ago.
I’m glad too!! As far as 2 versions go….the lp is something I could put on a playlist and listen on repeat …..the car park is a video I could watch over and over.

What’s weird is I was just sitting here thinking to myself by the way this is the second time I’ve watched your reaction by watching somebody’s music can make so many people feel with that one person is playing. Kind of what you said. In a sidenote, I have one of Sam Tompkins albums on vinyl sounds beautiful. Can’t wait for Ren to put out some vinyl. I got his CDs come in but still.

Yo Michael. For me the MC sessions version is the best rendition of this song. MC have a good reputation for getting best sound quality. Love watching you enjoy Ren and his various works. Watching Ren carry on through interruptions is great (guitar strap episode on Wade in the Water with Big Push). Ren is at his best when in front of an audience.

Just seeing them casually killing the song while stuff goes wrong. Like it’s just two friends hanging out while being stupidly talented 😅
