The thing that's as amazing as their playing is their ability to sync their playing to the original performance.That would be extremely difficult for most performers at this skill level,but they just appear to breeze through it effortlessly................................................
Tim Henson is not only plucking harder than normal, but he’s pairing it with Thumping. A base guitar technique, and I personally believe he’s plucking harder to emphasize the thumping he’s using. Guy must be a magician in his free time lol
Put all of the technicality aside ... The best quality of Polyphia and Marcin's (put Ichika Nito in this group as well) music is the listenability. Everything they play just TASTES SO GOOD !!! I remember back in the later 80's when the Metal Maestro's started to make their appearances like Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani,Eric Johnson ... etc ... and I just got my first taste of virtuosic guitar craft, I was mesmerized. Marcin and Tim Henson are just so innovative ... we need to start making up words to accurately describe the emotional simbromphomabelica ... lol Like ... Can you imagine if these two guys decided to cover "Cliffs Of Dover" ... in their mixed style ... would it even be recognizable ?!?!?!!?!?!?! Hey ... Now I'm gonna go noodle me some Eric Johnson riffs ... You should break down "Cliffs Of Dover" one day ... such an ICONIC composition. So awesome ... So nostalgic ...

My son just bought the Tim Henson signature nylon string- he’s almost mastered Playing God but the hybrid picking (fingers and pick together) is quite the challenge. I personally love playing his guitar more than my steel strings and may end up having to get me one myself 😂
