I have the spin fisher VI and I’d like to adjust the live liner drag can you make a vid demonstrating it I fish for gar and the lightest setting is to much for these fish
@crispito4717 were you able to adjust it properly? Have you had any issues with it that made you wish you got the regular reel instead of that live liner reel?
i try at the shop i feel the lightest live liner drag setting is still too much for sensitive fish, can the live liner be adjust to almost no drag at all
Hi Sir I got the Penn 6500 VI Live Liner but the back of the reel has a waterproof cap but the cap won't undo as the one you have will undo as the new reel won't undo at all my daughter & my son in law brought for me as a Christmas present but didn't come in a box & no Instructions & they paid quite a bit of money for this Penn 6500 VI Live Liner & the Live Liner lever drag system works good in all 4 settings but the waterproof will not undo & I may think being the latest reel maybe it is not to undo because it is very tight indeed & I don't want to undo it with a tool as I might break it because it is that tight & it is a pitty the this Penn VI 6500 Live Liner reel didn't come in a box from the Store that my daughter & my son in law brought it from & it wasn't cheap either as I live in New Zealand & the Penn 6500 live liner reel I can't understand why it didn't come with Instructions & that maybe they didn't want me to know what they paid for the reel Kind Regards Peter PS I'm Wishing you Sir a Happy New Year for 2023 & have a good one Sir for 2023
I bought my kids the fierce 3 live liner for chunking at the beach and jetty’s. That was three years ago and haven’t had any problems yet. Granted they’ve only caught schoolies but I’ve been happy so far.

Just purchased Penn surf fisher vi 4500 and the Penn battle 3 6000 series, can't wait to try them out.

sadly you can't do lightest LL drag on ssvi, my suggestion buy another penn, fierce or ssv

Really want the fierce but the reviews online are not good at all, lots of failures .

I've got a fierce LL had it 2 years never let me down
Its Roman numerals in other words 6 not Vee eye.
