Totally understandable. The appeal of P3 is when you think of the themes overtime. I didn't immediately love it either when I played it on the PS2 and now it's my favorite of the series.
Yeah I definitely understand why it’s some people’s favourite, there is a lot to love here.
The game goes a bit overboard with beating the themes of death and loss into you. It’s fine to cover those issues, but there may be a few too many sad stories in here for one game.
This was a really well made video! Good job! As someone who has only finished Persona 3 fes (just started reload yesterday tho!) I must say I disagree with quite a bit of stuff that was said in this video. ESPECIALLY the stuff you said about the ending.
However it’s not a problem since everyone’s got different opinions so it was really interesting to hear! I think your point about the music was great tho. Actually the tracks are better in fes and I feel like Reload kinda ruined some of the older tracks (one of those being the dorm theme omg the old one is so much better lmao)
Keep up the good work man!
Thanks! Comments like this are what keep us going. Glad you enjoyed the video.
I love being able to have a discussion on topics and reviews, even when we disagree. So I always welcome other opinions.
Days later I’m still conflicted about certain parts of this game, so even my opinion may change 😅
Reviews should be made without comparisons. It should be for the product on its own. This is still a good review. I’m enjoying the game. I’m early on and it’s my first time playing P3. It has its addictive claws in me.
Considering most people who will be playing p3 for the first time with this will be doing so because they enjoyed p5, comparing them is probably what most people are looking for
Yeah I understand that, due to it being a remake though I found it hard not to compare.
I think there needs to be a balance of comparison and letting it stand on its own sometimes. I may have skewed more into the comparison side and I’ll try to avoid that in the future.
Glad you’re enjoying the game, it’s a great time!
It’s hard to be objective with persona games bc each title is so different, it’s always going to come down to your personal preferences. Someone who enjoys hurt/comfort and angst is probably not going to enjoy 4 as much as 3. People who don’t enjoy darker stories will probably gravitate towards 4/5. If you don’t like jazz, 5’s soundtrack might be boring, if you dislike rap, you’ll hate 3’s etc. (Personally I hate P4. I wish I didn’t but whew.)
I appreciate your honesty with this review even if I don’t agree with it, haha. I hope anyone considering any of the persona titles give them a chance.
Great way to put it honestly, and as you said, I hope everyone gives these games a chance. There’s something for everyone here, you just need to find which one is for you.
Thanks for putting this together! A comparison is exactly what I was looking for. You mentioned understanding why there are no full social links for the guys. Can you expand? Is that because those would be romantic links and the characters are presumably straight?
Glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful.
My understanding of why the links weren’t there is simply because the original game did not have them, nothing other than that. I would have liked them to have included expanded links though, but I enjoyed what is in the game with the linked episodes.
Thanks for the question, I hope I explained that well enough.
So i played P3, P3FES and P4 on PS2, P3P on PSP, P4G on PS Vita, P5 and P5R on PS4 Pro and P5S, P5R, P3P and P4G on PS5, just waiting on decent sales for both P5T and P3R on PS5
I’m hoping P5T goes to ps plus as a monthly game soon. I’m not too eager to spend money on it right now but I still want to experience it eventually.
@@reverbium I don't play the PS Plus games because I like to "own" the games I play, so I can play them when I don't have PS Plus, which is usually the case for me, but I always wait about a year or so for a decent sale, ill probably grab P5T by the end of the year, and P3R early next year, I think every game I've played on my PS5 are games I purchased and "own", just not a fan of online monthly subscription services, I don't play multi-player in games and I don't play the "free" PS Plus games, so the only reason for me to have PS Plus is the cloud saving, not really worth it for ppl like me that buys all my games and DLC, plus I now have a 2TB SSD in my PS5 with multiple external HDs that I can play My PS4 titles straight from without having to transfer them onto my SSD
I played:
Persona 3 portable
Persona 5
Persona 5 strikers
Persona 5 royal
I plan to play this game after persona 4 golden because P4G is labbeled as the best persona game so if i enjoy it it'll fire me up for persona 3 reload as i have low expectations for it dispite its good reviews.
Golden was fantastic from my experience, so you’re in for a treat there. I preferred Royal for its gameplay elements but it’s a great time.
What the? Who in the down bad says 4g is the best?
@@aarongutierrez7705I have spoken to many that think Golden is the best.
While I still prefer Royal by far for its actual gameplay, story wise 4G is on par.
P4G is my favorite Persona game. But I would be hesitant to declare it or any other persona game as the “best”.
Yeah p4g is still number 1 for me after playing 5r
