It’s easily the best persona game. P3 always had better writing and story than it’s successors all it needed was this modern facelift making it much more accessible for newcomers
I love the p3 story but it’s not a better game it left out many things from Royal, portable, and golden that could have made it the best persona game. Story does not immediately get rid of the flaws within the actual gameplay.
Social Links, sure, but the dungeons of P4 are just as dull as original Tartarus to me, maybe even a little worse. P5 strikes a nice balance by having Palaces and Mementos so I agree there. -Tin
For me it was better that P5R tbh I felt it more challenging (it wasn't that hard but it was harder than P5R) and for me it felt more like a game, i knew when i was going to Tartarus it was going to be just gameplay for 1 or 3 hours with almost no dialogue instead of stoping me every 10 seconds to show me a button in an empty room telling me that i should try to press it or telling me that the bad guy is bad because he is doing bad things(also it is kinda weird when you are in tartarus and they show you a chest and then fuuka tells you that you should go to open the chest then a pop-up telling you to search the chest but you just FFWD) SPOILERS Also sorry if something doesn't make sense english isn't my first language :( And the ending is just better for me because it makes you think outside of the game, maybe there is people that you don't talk to anymore maybe you said goodbye to a person and you never saw them again, maybe you made a promise you can no longer keep, the future is uncertain, you don't know when someone you know isn't gonna be there anymore, you need to live the present.
I randomly purchased P5R a couple years ago. It was like the greatest discovery ive ever made 😂. That game was Amazing, i have over 300+hrs on it and platinum both ps4 and ps5. I just bought P3R and im about to dive in it for the first time. I hope its just as good as P5R.
Both have their strengths, and both have their weaknesses, and both are really good games. I just finished the platinum for Reload myself, I hope you enjoy the game! -Tin
nope. P3P was the best game of the series minus all the hardware limitations... if they remade P3P and merged the social links of both male and female protags to be playable for both genders it would be the ultimate game.

FeMC should have been included for sure, but I'm inclined to agree with @kl0764. You can't just ignore the hardware limitations when it comes to P3p, seeing as how those limitations were fundamental in making the game what it is compared to the rest of the series. As superficial as most of the biggest changes are, they still hamper my overall enjoyment of the game compared to FES and definitely Reload. -Tin
Honestly, reload was pricer to make than the original game (Even with inflation costs and the like). So its understandable to omit the answer and fmc. Plus the fmc was only possible due to being a glorified point and click p3. I know there's mods for fmc but its literally just a model swap without th social link, scrip changes, music, new voice acting and exclusive events. I hate atlus greed but i gotta be fair this time.
I get what you are saying. Games over the last years have just gone up and up in cost! With us now paying higher prices than ever before you want to full game to be able to experience. Paying for DLCs and extra content when you already spent $70 sucks!-Maxx
I really enjoy P3 Reload and I think it’s one of the best from the mainline series, however, I think P5 Royal is the best of the Persona series. It might be a bit cliche to say but remakes rarely hit as hard as the original. Persona 5 is what made me a fan of the series and apart of me wishes I could experience that initial play through 1 more time, P3 Reload suffers from the issue of me already being familiar with the plot so truthfully it did not make me feel anywhere near as attached as I was to P5 Royal.
I think I'm pretty much in the same boat. I love Reload a lot, but Persona 5 will always be special because it's the first one I played, so it hit different. It's a great series overall, so I can't begrudge anyone their favorite. -Tin
honestly i believe it's not the best persona game. There are many problems or flaws with it. I believe royal is a better game and maybe P3R is on par with golden. P3 has my favorite story so its not like I have a problem about the story i mean the game itself has flaws, that many seem to just ignore.
Reload is definitely better than Golden. Golden is a flawed game that feels dated when I play it. From the weak dungeon design, lack of ailments, and the time you enter the tv world are setbacks from persona 3. I feel like this is often ignored when people praise persona 4. Persona 3 definitely got the combat better executed, party control aside
@@stonalisa3729 idk the whole time I played I felt as if I could barely use magic. Magic felt indefinitely weaker than physical and the only time I’d use magic was just for their weakness, unlike the other games where I feel like magic can actually keep up with physical. It was basically just spam magic until u get their weakness and all out attack it and even then on most bosses it didn’t do much. The reaper was ruined for me when I accidentally one shotted with a theurgy. People wanna say it’s harder but when I have a legitimate one shot to any boss in my back pocket it really isn’t if anything I felt as if it was easier than Royal and golden. The original p3 games feel much harder.
Before I even watch: no. No, it isn't. I enjoy it more overall than P5R, but for the most part I didn't much enjoy a big chunk of R content in P5R. I still like P4/P4G more than this. It does look nice, I'll give you that.
I couldn't get into p4 or 5 but im 135 hours into p3 reload and loving it.

Gameplay wise, P4 and especially P5 blow it out of the water with better social links and dungeons. Tartarus is still a drag.

This is my first time playing P3, and it’s got its hooks in me. It’s definitely addictive and fun and the underlying mystery is intriguing.
I'm just happy we finally have a fully voiced Persona game. That alone makes all the difference.
