It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he winds up being the Top Dog at the end of all this.... The irony of this show is just too unpredictable.

The "I'm better than you" is from Kendall and Logan's dinner in Italy in episode 8, while the footage in this trailer of him in the elevator is from the shareholder meet in episode 5. The scene of Logan throwing his cellphone got cut.

Hate to be a know it all especially as a big fan of this show, but just casting a-list actors isn’t good casting unless the a-list actors are actually right for the role. We’ve never seen these actors in the actual show yet

I just recently saw a couple weeks ago the man who composes the theme and all of the music for SUCCESSION he did a demonstration of his Epic Talent and verbally elaborated to those of us that are interested how he does this and the meaning behind it! It was sublime! I've forgotten his name but this man is next level frickn Mozart! Oh yeah! I remember!

Couldn’t agree more. One of the few scenes of television which once finally ended I realized that my jaw had literally dropped five minutes ago. It was so gonzo, so absurdist, and yet miraculously it felt perfectly grounded within the world and atmosphere that succession had convincingly built up to over the prior season and a half. Pure art.
Nan Pierce leaving Logan screaming is the best for me.

Actually this is wrong, Logan is doing everything he can to make legacy, I don’t think his goal is to destroy his company, but rather toughen up Kendall so that the company is in good hands? Just my two cents

But hence why I said, “if Logan knew he lost this battle” Logan’s pride and ego would hate losing and the company thriving back to health under Kendall. He might get to keep his pride if he gives it Connor and watches it crash and burn under him. That way, it only affirms the belief that the Kingdom only runs if Logan Roy is at the helm. Just something to think about

Just finished the entire s3. Just one word, Tom Wamsgans, take a bow. Man such a nicely written character arc. Best season till date. Eagerly waiting for the fourth one.
All time great TV scenes with his Sporus speech, bottom of the top speech, his line to Kendall about Logan, and the Shiv scene at the very end. Has to get an Emmy surely. While Logan was picking the next president, Tom left to listen to Ken's dreams and realised how tragic Ken was.

i disagree, no one of those shows are masterpieces, breaking bad was close, but went weak towards the end, while sopranos isn’t even worth a 7/10.

This show was such a slow burn when it started but it kept getting better. Let's hope this season continues that trend.

For s1 I'd say that the finale was insanely shocking to me. The final scenes still bring me so many chills

The hype that is trailer brought is unreal. This show is the best on television and arguably the best show ever.
@callmecatalyst No show can be considered "the best show ever" when it has a season 2 as dreadful as The Wire's.
I watched the whole entire The Wire series and it is also up there as one of my favorites. The character development in that show ridiculous. So many likeable characters. The antagonists in that show were just as well liked because they were relatable. The show was visceral. What @youtaughtmehowtolive stated, for how great the show there was a sense of having to restart itself for each Season. Season 2 was really a let down and Season 5 was the worst of the Seasons. I watched some episodes of the The Wire and it was a struggle but wanted to finish out the Series. The X Files was the same way (not my favorite Series by any stretch) but it has some great gem of episodes (Musings of a Cigarette Man was one of my single favorite episodes of all time of any TV Show). Succession however takes the cake. At no point was I ever disinterested and it gets my full and undivided attention. Each Season keeps getting better and better after each season. It's a slow grind and the stories are still fresh. Some shows feel like they have be new or innovative and they lose their fan base. Succession keeps delivering. Every episode since the Pilot. True masterpiece!

I don't even remember when the last time was when I smiled completely from ear to ear while watching a trailer for a show being more excited than a little puppy. Succession is honestly making me believe that the Golden Age of Television might not be over yet.

Love all the music on Succession, Britell seems to have taken quite a bit of inspiration from Franz Schubert. If you listen to Schubert's stuff there's ALOT of similarity i.e 'Standchen', 'Serenade' or others by Schubert.
I've been waiting so long for this... now all I'll need is Barry Season 3.

And Better Call Saul, Its high time Emmy gives it recognition. Yes, BCS S6 will be one real competition for all.

Wouldn't that only spell good things for the future of story telling? Wouldn't that secure that positions of the people involved in creating the masterpiece? It's not like the moment a fanbase passes a certain threshold that the quality of the work goes down... and that it's suddenly impossible to find "intimate" communities within that fan base...
@@martinebonita2658 I'm not too concerned about the future positions of Jesse Armstrong, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, or any of the actors, no. The show's gotten big enough where all of their profiles have been permanently raised. I agree, it's not "impossible" to find small communities to talk about Succession with. But it's nice to find a perfect view of a city in the mountains before word gets out and there are crowds of people all taking in the same view.

Brian Cox played almost the exact same domineering personality in the 1970s in the BBC drama “The Devil’s Crown”. Venomous familial strife, war, politics, and rise and fall of empires. His Henry II was masterful, and I can’t help but feel that he may be channeling his younger portrayal all those years ago.
