I'd have kind of liked this to be "we bought 3 structure decks and this is what we built" but packs is probably fine too

I have learned, Doug could even start a series called Yugioh & Order where the premise is deep diving local city laws where him and MBT take turns being rude to each other while guessing what city that law came from, as long as at the end of the episode a wheel is spun and a pack is opened I’m coming back to smash the like button every week.

I love these Doug-Joseph collabs because they have the perfect dynamic. There have been some really good shows and series with other Yugi-tubers, but Doug needs a foil. MBT plays the perfect foil. Doug's at his best when matched against a chaotic asshole and I'm so excited for a new wheel series to look forward to.
They work like sport comintators the knowledgeable one who knows the stats and most things that will come his way and the enthusiastic one who enjoys watching and says some wild out there comments and can on the occasion get off topic
Which is also why bringing gage to saga was a good idea.

The ultimate conclusion of all of these wheel series is that every episode they spin a wheel to decide which previous wheel they spin from for their deck that episode

When MBT pulled Salad I knew it was over. We saw it in rotation, we saw it in saga and now we saw it here. Salad is amazing.
As the world's foremost expert on Blackwings, Doug's play here was really inspirational here. Even I, in my infinite wisdom, did not see some of the lines Doug came up with. The incredible foresight to make Harmattan level 6 while thinking several steps ahead, in the face of all the doubters, is simply unbelievable. I wish I, the world's foremost expert on Blackwings, could be as talented as Doug.
Doug played fine. His pulls just weren't there.
I don't even think the optimal opening of, like, whirlwind, sudri and shamal could have saved his bacon out there
Literally had plays I couldn't think of while looking at the board, only things I can think of was stuff he literally didn't pull. I don't doubt there are some people who think he could have pulled this off but it's sealed, we manage our expectations accordingly

I think 20 pulls makes more sense than 15, that way youre guaranteed a UR with the 2nd 10 pull if you dont get one
I was looking forward to a mention of "falco control" from MBT, a deck he always seems to be in perpetual fear of anytime Salamangreat is mentioned, but that never seems to really come to fruition
he won with it in master roulette against a fairly competent strat from doug (cant remember what)

Here's the raw deal with Blackwing: none of the new, actually good cards are in the pack. They weren't even *available to craft* until the update on June 7th. The *best* doug could have hoped for was Full Armor Master, Nothung, Raikiri, and extra Whirlwinds.
I love how many different series have been due to the lack of planning ahead for popularity

@@Daxxon10101 notably, the finale of roulette didn’t do well. Honestly, the numbers have been pretty consistent all the way through if you look at it that way because the older ones just have a lot of cumulative views over time. So honestly, I think he needs to go to three series a week but that’s just me. I think it would gas the channels algorithm quite a bit.
After enough of these you'll be able to make a Roullete Roullete, where you spin a wheel of wheels to know wich wheel you'll wheel next.

I like this one. The base structure deck makes it so you always has a gameplan and the 15 packs ensure both players also get a strong version. ( Unless the roll very badly lmao )
Don't worry Dzeeff, I don't think you misplayed anywhere super meaningfully. There were times when I was like "Nooo read the last effect of Onimaru" but it realistically didn't matter, you were playing against a deck with an insane engine so long as it finds any of its cards with exactly one and a half copies of Black Whirlwind in your deck. Not much you can do about pulling bad and MBT drawing into the right non-engine at the right time
Blackwing son or Raidraptor daughter was one of the funniest jokes I’ve heard from this show. It’s kind of nothing, kind of hilarious. Doug is really funny.

If there isnt already the next series in the pipeline after this, i would really like a series where the participants dont have to buy stuff. Every series has you buy so much gems that over all these different acounts im sure there is at least 2k in Master Duell. We poor people need a representation too, how about a series where you try to climb with the least amount of boosters bought.

The purpose of this is to showcase the structuredecks, but you're not playing with three of each structure decks? Seems like a massive oversight to me.
the point is to have a bit more janky plays ant not just constructed rogue decks
Nice idea. Hopefully there are better pulls in the future, but I like using the structures, and it's a short series for you guys.

Just saw that subversion play and I believe that encapsulates exactly what modern yugioh feels like. There have been countless times where I made plays and thought wow i really went through ma bunch of great moves there only to be killed by single activations of one ofs like tactics or thrust that just turns any game around. We don't need to go back to the old days where spells cards like pog, charity, duo decided every game. We're already here.

So, fun fact about the Ninja deck. You purchase it once and it gives you three copies of everything in it. It's probably the best deal on there
as salads being my favourite deck those plays hurt my soul😥

I can't wait for the series where Doug spins a wheel to see who's house he breaks in to to build Yugioh decks from what he can find.
I think the format would be better with 3 starter packs and less randomness, fokusing on the deck building and the archetype and not on luck, way more informative for newbys

When I saw the structure deck selection:
Blackwings should definietly win if they get Nothung and Full armor master.
After the packs: Blackwings got neither Notung, nor Full armor master.
Duel 1, turn 1, already a misplay. Should have tributed BWD for Sudri's 2nd effect to get a tuner. Summon Boreastorm (he got it from the structure deck), than summon Black Winged Assault Dragon from extra deck as a 3200 baetstick that taxes the opponent on monster effect usage.
Duel 2: no big misplay
Duel 3: You could have won. You had everything to do it. You didn't. I mean if you were worried about handtraps, that'd be one thing, but in this format?

Any chance to see MBT and Doug spin a wheel? I’m all in. Hopefully they’re working a character roulette season 2 for GX in the background for Doug’s 90000th series.
Another great series! I don't think you should do crafts for this series, since you get a mostly playable deck right out the gate. However, the blackwing and galaxy structures were released with their associated boss monster not included in the deck, but as a login bonus, so I wouldn't mind those 2 decks getting those cards specifically.

I kind of only just realized that you can't hear MBT laugh AT ALL in these videos. Is something wrong with his microphone? I can't unhear that I can't hear it now. His laugh is so infectious, I miss it!
14:26 How do people play this deck, you ask? It's quite simple. We picked it up 10+ years ago, and have played nothing else since. We don't know how to Link Summon or play any other type of deck. Please send help
Can't wait for when we finally get the "Wheel of wheels": Both players spin a wheel of every wheel that Doug made a series on, then they spin the respective wheel to determine the deck. Maybe even include a mandatory re-spinny just for the extra wheel spins.
(might actually be funny as a one-off for april fools or something)
The structure decks are overall a big Konami W, Salamangreat was playable even before the latest support, Ninja was released at the same time of Kashtira and had a great match up against it, Dragonmaid is great for beginners to learn the basics, zombies are probably some of the most fun rogue decks out there... Even Cipher who is not really playable has a few staples included.
Will we see a version of this with the structures that can be unlocked by completing the Solo Modes? I'd love to see you guys try the Digital Bug and Gem-Knight SDs
My friend and I did this a few months ago. He got the Blackwing pack and I got the Gaia pack. Who won? Anyone without a speck of Yugioh knowledge will find out after he decides to upload the video lol. (though I did get the Gaia animation)
When MBT pulled Sirocco I hoped it'd make the cut bc the attack gain would count Doug's Blackwings and that would've been very funny if it came up

Right now it’s the first one get to choose one and the second can decide which of his two options is a better matchup.
Imagine:
both spinning (2 times each) and after that everyone announced their decision. Sure, there is also second who can decide to chance his mind. But this way player 1 has a chance to see how fucked he will be

Really good plays from Doug, just didn't draw what you needed for sealed, unfortunate.
Doug so you know in future when he would activate the baelynx effect you just chain the Assault dragon and destroy whatever he has on the board but just so you know next time
Also next time send with Sharnga with Boreastorm it gives you a quick effect pop
No crafts. There's plenty of the other series we've seen where you can patch up a deck with crafts. Since this one starts with guaranteed cards, crafts could make them too high-powered. A lot of us love the cope and the shoddy building.
Ohhhh, you know what would be a great follow-up series? Doing thr same, but for TCG Structure Decks - much more bad, much the same fun
I believe you should allow crafting.
But only of the material of dismantled cards you pulled.
So if you got 3 useless SRs, you can make one.
Maybe add a Second wheel with prizes, like a card dupe or a low rarity craft? Nothing crazy, just something to help against terrible luck like this
I don't think you guys should get crafts, Structure decks is sealed enough that doing crafts would take some of the fun of this out. On another note I hope to see the Cipher structure deck (different from the galaxy one) soon, cause that's a hot pile of garbage.
wait wtf? why not just pull 3 structures from the start? especially in decks like dark magician the 3 of's basically necessary for all the dark magicians
Knowing that Violet chimera + heatleo is an OTK match made in heaven had me seething game 3 when he didnt make violet initially, and i saw he had access to not only 2 heatleo through rein link summon, but a monster body in GY to use, I was seething, as it was literally throwing. I own these cards. I have violet chimera, and it upsets me that this duel did this.
I would allow crafting but under some strict conditions. You can only break down cards you have 4 or more of, and you can only the resources that you gained in the latest pack opening. No rolling over resources week to week.
Tbh, when the blackwig pack got released, everyone got a royal rare full armor master.... Should Doug be allowed to play it?
Dzeef is a better man than me because If I got hit by the MBT barely saving his ass with 2 random out or archetype one-offs after already winning the episode I would have scooped on the spot and deleted the whole series.
I just hope MBT gets pend magicians, no offense to Doug but I love how good he plays pendulums and also I feel like he will appreciate them more
Imagine not playing Zonda, card E-Tele's any high level Blackwing from deck, imagine sending him with Vata
Ninja's going to be a hard time because all the important monsters, apart from Hanzo, are only in the structure deck. I think that's true of a couple of the spells and traps too.
I feel like unless Dragonmaids and Ninjas face each other, they will just crush whatever they go against just like Salads.

MBT could have played the Sirocco he pulled. It could pump itself off of Doug's monsters. It's not good but it could have been mildly funny.

Is 15 packs really necessary when you already have the entire structure? I feel like 10 packs does the trick here. Fun episode regardless!
Doug still would have had lethal Game 3 had he made Onimaru. Would have been the perfect time for "Damage Step?"
I would like to suggest Doug do just like MBT did. Show the structure deck before opening the packs so we know what we have as a base
