Visiting the East Coast of Sicily? Our top 10 list is here ruclips.net/video/Nb62ZdBlNWI/видео.html
Thanks Al for the chalk board memories. In my school we had an eraser vacumn device that would clean the erasers so we didn’t soil our uniforms. 😂
Great Advice from Alfredo regarding pharmacies. I walked out of several pharmacies with name brand prescription meds that’s you can purchase over the counter in Sicily without a prescription for a fraction of the cost.
Go to Mosia, a small island off the west coast of Sicily, near Marsala. Settled by the Phoenicians, has not been restored. A couple of miles north of Marsala, is a small dock, with a small boat that will take you there.
We could have made this list 20 top on West caost. So many jewels
!
Fantastico, Eszter!! We were just in all those places in October & November. I agree with Alfred, as you know my home village is the Madonie Mountains - Locati-Bompietro. My tip - The enormous field of Tulips (tulipano) between Locati and Blufi when they are in bloom in theSpring -A sight to behold. Also, A view of Mt. Etna on a clear day from Petralia Soprana. Attend a small town festival in the Madonie Mountains, a genuine, authentic experience!
So true!
Thanks!
Grazie!
Super great video today!!! You definitely know how to deliver the right amount of information in a short amount of time!!!
I appreciate that!
I love all your travel suggestions! So many beautiful places to visit. Alfred, thanks for the laughs…I remember those chalk boards and erasers 🤣😂 10,000👏🏻 Ciao
Was just in Sicily three weeks ago, really like Sicily better than Rome,Florence &Assisi. Visited relatives in Castellammare del Golfo and toured Palermo, Cefalu,Monreale,Erice,& Segesta. The only problem I had was walking the inclines since having quadruple bypass and recently had a pacemaker installed.
Wow, all the towns we mentioned ! That is wonderful that you had this time visiting relatives. Yes the inclines can be tough.
Nice vlog this week 🤗. Once again Alfred you took me back down memory lane about chalk, school precisely Catholic school for me. Those were good times. ❤️
Great advice. Even if your staying a week...bring a MONTH supply of Meds. Plus Driving is difficult for SICILIAN! Yes. Eat SICILIAN Food... Don't look for a Hamburger and fries!! 🙏😅🙄Great video as always.
Thank you!
My experience in Sicily is …‘Sicily is my medicine…the fresh air, the views, the food, the wine and most of all the people…a place that soothes the soul…and body’
@@joannagiresi8730 Exactly! Sicily is magical!!
We look forward to your videos every week. We were in Sicily October 2021. Can't wait to come back!

@You, Me & Sicily if I can I will. You are great to watch. You're an awesome couple 💑
Thanks for the video! I’m visiting Sicily with family in a few months, and I know that if I don’t put together a list of places to visit and things to do they’ll just spend most of two weeks only hanging out at the beach and pool!
We loved Menfi which we discovered accidentally in our search for a book store, that we never found ❤️. Keep up the great job and thanks again
Thank you! Yes Menfi is great we have a vineyard we use there.
I've become addicted to your videos. Complimenti! Bravi!
Grazieeee glad you like them!
We went to visit Corleone to see my mother-in-law’s birthplace. It was such a beautiful drive. The town of Corleone was very charming and very rustic.❤
Good description: Charming and rustic!
Would love to see Motta d’Affermo. 😊
Thank you for your service & congratulations on your daughter’s wedding.
Very, very, very good video today!😊😊😊
Thank you! 😃
Alfred, erasers were the original attack drones in my 3rd grade class. I remember a day in 1958 where I took a direct hit to my forehead. Sister Iona didn't need a target acquistion system
Thank you.
Great video with great info!! I agree with all your suggestions!!
Love your inclusion of visiting the towns in the Madonie Mountains…my husband grew up there and emigrated to Canada when he was 13!!
I love Sicily and we love your videos…makes us miss Sicily even more!!
Thank you so much!
Wow!!! Anisa and I were so excited to hear Alfred talking about our area of Sicily, The Madonie Mouintains. That is where we spend most of our time in Locati, right near Petralia Soprana and Sottana. ❤
Militello Val di Catania. UNESCO world Heritage Site. Gorgeous. My family town
Ciao from Dallas!!
Good video guys! Looking forward to your views on where to go on the East coast where we plan to be in September..
We have loads of videos on East Coast towns on our channel under Explore Sicily:)
You make me laugh so much. I used to clap erasers too. I remember pulling down the shades with that stick also. I went to catholic school all my life. Except college. You absolutely sleigh me. LOL
Glad you enjoyed it !
Ciao! Great West Coast list & travel tips. Yes Al I also grew up with chalkboards in school. That noise I am sure you perfected haha
Maria you need to come soon!
I have to laugh. I can relate to everything Alfred says. We have to be around the same age because I can relate to most everything he says. He always makes me laugh. Needless to say I love your show.
Thank you!
I hope to come to Coccomo soon
Funny you should talk about chalkboards, Alfred, because when I was a kid, I wanted to be a teacher only because I liked the sound of the chalk on the board! Alas, I never became a teacher.
We loved Ortigia. Next time we're taking the train from Rome to Sicily. And we're not leaving!

Thank you for all your great videos & all suggestions! Planning my trip this year in Sicily, not thinking of driving in Sicily, would it be doable visiting little towns? Please let me know! Thanks
Get a driver its the best and no stress!
Mi fai piangere perché sono così felice dentro.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Can you create just a list of the places and some of the tips?
We have a list for sure!
Hi 😊 We are going to Italy in May 2024 for the first time 🎉 We are a mid 30's couple with a 18-month old baby. We are avid travellers and foodies.
We are landing in Rome, and we want to head to Sicily right after visiting the "essential". We plan on flying to Palermo since it is such a foodies paradise.
After Palermo, we would like to settle for 5-6 nights somewhere. We would like someplace as much as off the beaten path possible. We are aiming for authenticity, and awesome food. Size of the town does not matter. We want to stay away from tourist traps or resorts kind of town. The less spoken English the better 😂
Would you have any villages recommandations?
Gracie mille
Lots of small towns off the beaten path in the Province of Palermo. Also, all of Sicily is foodie paradise!
Well, I have been fllowing you videos and I suddenly knew that Snatiago di Compostela is not in Portugal but Spain:
Santiago de Compostela[a] is the capital of the autonomous community of Galicia, in northwestern Spain., i.e. the autonomous community of Galizia, northwest Spain
Yup
Pretty hard to choose a top ten in Sicilia.
Hello, we're coming to Sicily mid October till November 4th, do we need to book in advance for excursions trips sites things like that or will they be available because that's the slower time?
Thanks in advance 😊
Ciao Jim, send me an email eszternvajda@gmail.com where you want to visit
Hello is the answer in the video? Do you think we need to book events out now? Thank you
Get full collision coverage in Sicily.
Can you drive a standard....on a hill from a stop sign?
Start walking now to get use to Sicily.
Bring an equivalent of Pepto with you. Pack some Motrin too.
Do not dress too casual.
Get lost, really. Some of our best memories are the interactions with locals. Those over 40, especially away from the coast speak no English.
Learn to say hello and thank you in Sicilian...it breaks the ice.
Get out of your comfort zone. Put your phone away.
GREAT advice!! Much more on our next video !
