  • Piano cover of "The Call of Ktulu" by Metallica from their album Ride the Lightning (1984), created by Yannick Streibert. This cover was already uploaded a few years ago, but the audio was...well, just a horrible MIDI sound. This video should be more satisfying to hear.

    Hey guys!
I'd like to give the premier function a first try on my channel. Let me know your opinion about it!
Regarding this video: The Call of Ktulu is one of my most successful and actually feared piano covers. It requires a lot of stamina and a very refined technique for both hands. Since Cliff Burton had a huge impact on this composition, the bass (in this case most likely the left hand) has a huge impact on my arrangement as well. This video is a renewed, refined & way better sounding reupload of my Synthesia video a couple of years ago. This tutorial is by far one of my most viewed ones. But the audio from back then is just a Synthesia MIDI files. Which is the definition of bad.
Many people asked me to reupload it, so hear we go.
Oh, and regarding some comments about the playability: I uploaded 2 own performances of this cover, this one is from last year: ruclips.net/video/4FRxFRUATq0/видео.html
There were some people asking me about maybe needing some more arms or if you have to be an octopus to play this.
No, 2 hands are enough. But practicing is the key, as always :-)
    I hope you enjoy!
    Yannick

Aww I was afk when this premiered. Didn't take note of the time. Anyway, nice to hear this with better audio. Not easy at all to arrange or even play! The left hand is insane!

Don't stress at all, maybe it'll work next time. Thank you for your comment! And yes, the left hand is a joy lol
