Upgraded from series 6 - what a difference! Loving this Ultra 2!
@@Jay37_tech Much lighter than I expected too! I'm not a small guy and its looks very normal on my wrist and is not noticeable when sleeping. It feels great to have a watch that I can finally track my sleep, get up for a run, and still have a full battery in the morning. Absolutely brilliant
I upgraded from the series 8 to the ultra 2 and its so much better than it and I owned all apple watch series prior
I currently have the series six and am holding off for a month or so to see how everyone feels then about Ultra 2.
If the sentiments are still high I just may pull the trigger for the Ultra 2

I went from a series 6 to Samsung watch 5 pro and finally decided to treat my wrist right with an ultra 2. Best watch I’ve ever used
additional storage… I think the main reason for this was to support downloadable maps. If you want to use a map in a remote location where there’s no wifi or cellular you can download the map of that area and use it for GPS navigation. It’s something that Garmin and other actual ‘adventure’ watches support and the original Apple Ultra did not; and, Apple took some criticism for it when compared to those other products. So. now it’s there in the Ultra 2 and there’s a good amount of storage in the watch to allow you to pre-download all the maps you might want or need for real off-grid hiking or whatever. There might be other uses for extra storage space; but, I think this was the main driver for it.
Upgraded from the series 4. This watch wasn’t meant for the original ultra owner, this was meant for those who haven’t made that jump. I love it.

I sometimes like the slow improvements it means you can keep your watch for a while and not feel bad in 12mo
Thanks for the video. I upgraded today to the Ultra 2 from formerly having the series 7 Graphite S, and I am in love with it! From the screen to its size, it’s a beautiful, sturdy watch. I am wondering how it will do tomorrow for my yoga workout and then the day after intense workouts. I’m excited.

From the rare group that came from Ultra 1. I loved the Ultra 1 so much, that I want it to be the best it can possibly be. Brighter screen is a bonus for me as I'm outdoors a lot, use the flashlight a lot. I was going to buy the orange ocean band anyway and told myself I may as well just invest that 100 towards a new watch. I was able to sell my ultra 1 for 550.

Ultra 2 is my first watch ever. And man... it's SO nice. Works with my 13 mini flawlessly so far.

Ultra 2 is my first Apple Watch. With data it’s a beast up on ladders it’s nice you just look over check time messages change songs. It’s sweet setup

Upgrading from a series 6 aluminum case. As for 64 GB of storage, I would use it to sync my entire Apple Music library on it. Which for me is at around 35 GB.
Apple only allows about 25% of the total storage for the users personal data… so you’ll only get like 16gb out of the total 64gb for your library
I think that there should be some style of analog watch face as well as the versions digital on the new ultra macular face.

Can you lay the old band (white ocean) next to the new band (orange ocean) and see if they are the same length? I read the new ocean bands are very slightly shorter. Can you confirm/deny?

S or M should fit perfectly. Or use Size 7, ive measured my wrist and got 17cm too

Hi! I'll be trading in my U1 for $380 towards the U2. The improvements are worth it IF you plan on keeping the U2 for the long haul. The upcoming X next year are going to make current watch bands obsolete. So, the U2 is the end of the road as far as I'm concerned. It may be incremental from the U2 but the improvements are still substantial. Especially, going from 32GB to 64GB. The U1 is already my iPod. There are plenty of times that I just need my Apple Watch now that battery life is no longer an issue. Yes, music! Apple has replaced the old iPod with a real wearable! 64GB will give more room for music and pod casts. Looking forward to getting it.
Will a series 6 band fit the ultra 2
I newer bring my phone on runs so the phone option is a nice feature in case of emergency.
I just have a question how far do you have it go for the compass and backtracking of steps to show up cause I’ve tried it at work and I work in a semi long building and I walked around outside and nothing showed up!
Is there some setting I didn’t turn on or anything!

4% battery SIZE increase, not the battery life… And it’s not making it a better battery. You will have just 100% capacity as it’s a brand new watch. Even apple says: The same 36 hours.
I use the timer when cooking but the Siri failures drive me nuts with dirty cooking hands. With Siri onboard do you know if this is fixed?

Watches are not worn on the hinged part of the wrist. You wear yours too low. Move it up onto the inflexible part of your wrist and far enough away from your hand that the motion of your hand can’t touch the watch.

Anyone else using Gen 1 ultra having severe battery drain since watch os10 upgrade? I was getting 3.5 days use between charges and now getting 2 days at best!! Love to hear your thoughts
I’ve noticed that the moment I’ve upgraded. After the second one that came out like two days later, the battery has been a little better
@@kylekenney2291 yeah my battery has got better with the .1 version but STILL nowhere near the original battery life. Disappointing and don’t know where we stand if this isn’t rectified. We bought a premium device and don’t want software updates to make them worse 🤦🏽

I upgraded to the 2 because the screen is way brighter for me. My first one was not as bright in sunlight, particularly while swimming and outdoor activities. Which then made it clearer for me too and way easier to read. I did a comparison and it was amazing. May be my older eyes. lol Terrific video.

Audio is distorted during phone calls.
My brand new Apple Watch Ultra 2 makes cracking sounds when I make calls with the speaker volume at Max.
Audio is distorted only during normal or FaceTime calls. The problem does not occur when recording or playing sounds from the speakers. It's never been in the water, I haven't even washed my hands while wearing it.
It may be a software issue because the Apple Watch Ultra (1) had the same problem and it was solved with the watchOS 9.0.1 update.
Apple then had the following note in said update: «This update includes improvements and bug fixes for your Apple Watch Ultra.
Audio could be distorted during phone calls using speakers.»
I hope that the problem will be solved again through a new update and that it is not a hardware problem.
Finally I should note that until recently I had the Apple Watch Ultra (1) and it had no problems related to what I mention.

I do the cellular so I can start my car remotely using my Apple Watch.
I purchased the Ultra 2 and wasn’t convinced about how it looks which was one of the reason I didn’t buy the AWU1, I thought it was kind of ugly.
As soon as I put it on, I thought where have you been all my life. It looks well proportional to on my wrist and looked very masculine. Leaving me feeling that my other two AP looks way too feminine to wear.
Bit the bullet and got the AWU2 as my digital minimalism device, since I got a refund from my m1 iPad Pro (Screen turned yellow, and warranty repair was more expensive than my purchase price)... Battery life is something that Apple hasn't figured out.. I have Epix Pro 2 51mm Sapphire on my right wrist for my training, and that can go 22 days with constant monitoring on, or over a month if I want to... AWU2 barely goes through a day on LTE :D Device is fine, but I guess Apple will refine this so maybe AWU8 could be the one device to rule them all.
No more possible to turn on/off the night mode with the crown 🤔

“Outdoor” watch thats only last 12-13 hours activity track with no native offline map support for hiking, sorry but nope
Other brand give you far longer battery and native map support for many activity like hiking and golf
