- Today we are taking you on a Road Trip across India. The first leg of the trip was Gurgugaram where we met Jash's aunty and Chandigarh where we stayed in Lalit. Come along with us as we go through many roads and tolls and meet quite a few weathers too.

Only in India people getting happily ripped off 😂. Never seen so many tolls in any other country.

i think quality of road infrastructure in iindia is improving...
Certainly in some points, we did see the roast begin a really good condition.
In a few years i can see roads are going to be the same as in the USA. Check the currently under construction expressway projects in India.

@@AdwatismYes, it's fact. But I have seen awesome changes in the last few years. Now we feel quite comfortable to drive long distances.
@@explorerm908 Yea but the Bumpyness is still there at some points in the expressways so it's not quite comfortable bcuz u have to constantly watch out for those
Most people are unable to do such road trip. It’s commendable that you guys come to India and in such a short time learn the ways of Indian roads 😂

Places to eat at in Mumbai:
*1. Elco Pani puri - (area - Bandra west in Mumbai)* -
One of the best Pani puris in town. Very clean & hygienic. They use bottled mineral water to make these. So very safe to eat Pani Puris at this place.
*2. Sardar Pav Bhaaji - (area - Tardeo in Mumbai)* -
The best and the most buttery Paav Bhaaji on Planet Earth.
*3. Bade Miyan - Late night place - is open till 3 am or so (area - near Taj hotel & the Gate way of India in Mumbai)*
A late night place, patrons eat in their cars, but has a seating area as well. Famous for their wraps, Tikkas, Tandooris & barbecued stuff.
*4. Leopold Cafe (area - Colaba causeway in Mumbai)* - Nice beer, barbecues, nice desserts.
*5. Pancham Puriwala - (area - fort in Mumbai)* - 5 types of puris(bread), savory dishes & desserts.
*6. Persian Darbar - (area - Bandra west in Mumbai)*
Famous for their Raan Biryani. Delicious Mughlai cuisine. You'll love it.
*7. Mahesh Lunch home - (area - Juhu Tara road in Mumbai)* Heaven for Sea food lovers. Very clean & hygienic and you can get the most iconic sea food dishes here.
*8. Mini Punjab's Lake side - (area Powai in Mumbai)* Need to call and book a thaali(platter) in advance.
Famous for its Dara Singh Thaali - available in both veg & non-veg versions. A must try.
*9. Britannia & co. restaurant - (area - Ballard estate, Fort in Mumbai)*
Famous for its Irani / Parsi cuisine. Awesome Desserts & Sodas.
*10. Anand Stall - (Vile Parle west in Mumbai)*
A fast food joint famous for its awesome Vada Paav, Sandwiches & Dosas.
*11. Mohammed Ali road - (Area - CST - 6 pm onwards till late night)*
The whole street is filled with street vendors who sell various non-vegetarian stuff and some vegetarian too. Plus, there are some really nice restaurants on the same street. Try the famous dessert that you get only on this street in a sweet shop. The dessert is called Aflatoon.

We are going to miss old way of dabba's side of highways after these new roads are fully constructed with new service station side of roads 😢
There are no quality Dabba's from Indore to Delhi. Only good places are in the cities they you will pass by. However from delhi to punjab there are 100's quality Dhabas.

We have been this just month back. We enjoyed our stay there.
Make sure to visit North East and Bhutan.
My dream is to visit east India. I have seen many videos on how different their food and culture is from rest of India.
@@AgnesMann I believe that you have already been to Sikkim, so that's one of the 7 sisters covered. Usually winters (Dec-Feb) is the best time to visit NE. Its way too hot or pouring with rain at the moment. Technically places like Meghalaya do thrive in the rain as the wettest place in the world "Cherrapunji" is located there.

ive heard many of these toll booth operatives work in two shifts- night and morning - imagine staying up all night and half of the day - their body clocks are so messed up i wont be surprised if the poor sod was graveyard level tired

Why so many tolls? I live in the US, long hrs drive I hardly see a toll.
Because of you all are paying almost 40/50 direct tax from your earning. Here in India only 15/20 % people's are taxable. ( Income tax payer ) So ...
Different tax system. But yes that’s really too many and it spoils the journey to need to stop so often

Nothing like this. And for super high strandard roads only which are faster routes (and nowhere near as many on them ) Else we pay road tax and streets are well maintained by the gov. This applies to Poland and UK (and most European countries)

It's not like that in India.
Indians don't pay road tax.
We pay direct toll tax if we are traveling on a certain highway.
So, we use fastag for that.
@tulika_9519 yes, road tax is inexpensive and if the car is low CO2 emissions it’s near to zero. That way the roads are maintained and people are incline to buy more eco friendly cars saving the environment that way too.

Do not go so longest trip by roads .you may face any accident and crime and car face any problems . Driver face tiredness and mind tiredness and eye tiredness . Do not be crazy for car driving and as a tourist do not be crazy .go by bus .
We used to fly everywhere, but since we have a car, we want explore the places we can drive to. We never drive for more than 10 hours and that is with several stops on the way. So jash does not get too tired.

So far this car has done really well (even up in the mountains it pulled through just fine)

India is set to introduce a new satellite-based toll collection system, using GNSS & GPS.
There should be no talls. I believe tolls are massive scam. Money should be collected through road tax and on affordability bases. I have traveled the world and India by far has the most toll's

Indian roads though newly laid,yet cannot be said that it is safe and world class. It's unsafe.. So drive carefully coz cows might pop up out of no where in the middle of the road, poor road manners, pot holes, irritating toll lines and loot unfriendly heavy vehicles , worst lane discipline . It's goes on..

I didn't get why there's so much fuss about toll gates in this video. Are you surprised with anything at the toll gates or something?
It didnt seem too late at toll gates in the video either, assuming there's any cuts in the video at the toll gates. Even then if you have fasttags on car, then its just a cake walk at the toll gates.
I don't know what it is, but I hope toll gates didnt cause any harm during your journey. Good luck!
It’s just surprises me because in Europe we are just not used to having so many tolls. Also, we used to take road trips but we used to fly everywhere now that we have a car. It seems like our tall gates every half an hour. Nowhere in Europe, he would see so many tolls and it might be easy pass with Fastag still it surprises us just how many there are. It does slow down your journey as well.
@@AgnesMann , interesting! I never thought we had so many tolls in the country. Goes to show how the current government is looting people in the name of infrastructure, especially with the fasttag, you are not directly involved with the money either so you never get that idea of paying in person.
@@AgnesMann In India we have a fast tag system in the tolls which will automatically deduct the amount without making payment with money or change which helps in efficiency and reduces time at the toll eases the process because evening is online.

@@AgnesMann Liked Indore but loved Bhopal more….u should visit Ujjain and visit the Mahakal mandir and stay back for seeing the lighting on the Shipra river in the evening. Ujjain is just an hours drive from Indore…….it’s magnificent! We then visited Mandu and Mandeshwar home of Devi Ahalyabai Holkar……Mandu was also very historic……
