- I already posted a video of the easiest front speaker replacement (link below). I figured I might as well post a video of the rear speaker replacement as well. As mentioned in the other video, you don't need to drill the rivets out. You can leave those and just pry out the old speaker and then screw in the new speaker.

Ok, so, that worked out well for you. Good job ( I'll assume you wired them up with the correct phase). I did just want to point out though, for anyone else who is trying to do this, that the reason those two solder joints were broken is because they broke when you pried that speaker out. Look at those braided leads coming off of the speaker basket. There is not enough length there to pry that speaker out without breaking them.
Did you make sure you watched the ohms of the speakers? You'll find that the volvo speakers are much better than after market
Yep. Also, I have an aftermarket head unit in this Volvo. But yes, I’m fairly certain the stock speakers are better than the ones I replaced them with.
@@smc1377 if the aftermarket were cheap and cheerful then you done a good job. My speakers in my v70 D5 have blown and I keep looking for OEM replacement

@@Matthieu666 I'm sorry. I just realized it was in my other video about front speaker replacements that I said which size would fit in the description. But basically I believe any 6.5"speaker will fit.

Lol you do realize the f8 tributo has 710 hp and tops at 234 mph and the model x plaid and s plaid both have 1200 hp and can’t go above 200 mph right 😂 many suvs are faster in top speed than the model x plaid with half the power

We have rhe exact same car. Black exterior and same two tone leather. I LOVE IT. only difference is my wood grain is light. Would bose speakers work?
