Sadly the store near me doesn't separate females so I have some mystery ones. But it'll be so fun to see the resulting offspring! And I totally agree.... It's too easy to get addicted to fishies! Especially guppies! They're pretty quirky.
Most of the time when you breed different pure strains it will result to having dark spots on the tail.. leopard guppies are result of crossbreeding 2 strains.. i have mine too and it has really similar pattern to that of your friend..

About 1 1/2 yrs. ago I mixed 2 different guppies together and now I have the same as Ur projects, interesting color patterns that I C going on in more then 1 fish. My tank (pond) is 6ft. X 6ft. X 2ft. I will try to get some pics for U to C. As of food goes any more I just use powdered corn and rice, after the milling of the products this is the by product (dust). I have to pay $1.00 for 3 lbs. and it will last me 8 months, feeding about 200 fish. Ive started this 2 yrs. ago with their food and I C the same results as if I were to buy the premium guppy food that cost much $$$$$. I live in the Philippines, we have talked before, any ways love the video, Jim.

I was always under the impression that the black genes were the most dominant. Clearly, any strain that has been highly selected for extreme colouration like the black moscow is very recessive to strains with more common traits like the santa claus. I like all of the crosses, especially the male that came out with some black ;) Now the second generation is going to get very interesting, because the fry will get a lot of the recessive black moscow genes. Lets see what they look like *rubs hands*

Hello Nalla. I don't measure the PH Levels. But, PH levels in Hawaii are roughlyt between 7 to 8. In general, the water temperature varies between 62 to 82 Farenheit (17 - 28 Celcius). It could go a little higher or lower. Cheers.
Amazing video! I was also planning to crossbreed with my tuxedo red koi males (because I have not enough females) and I try to crossbreed the tuxedo red koi males with normal neon blue females. What do you think how the fry of these will look like? (Hopefully some of them get the red/orange nose with some blue on their body, but maybe I have no plan of crossbreeding 🤣). what makes it a dragon guppy.... i some how had a red white and green tail mail and red femail and got a bunch of dragons starting the line with sward tail. leer sward and tatter tail.. or as i called them comets.. cause the pattern was a white spot surrounded in yellow then red and the ones up buy the body had bits of emerald and every place a black dot showed up the tail grew varry slow leaving what looked like rips till the tail grew around the black dot..even when the red and black tattered tails were twice the lingth of the males... and femails had the dots too. i called them comets or meteor shower guppies.

You can buy plastic drums fairly cheap just cut one in half and you will have 2 decent sized tubs like 40 gallons per tub
