"Darling" is a superb film with an outstanding Oscar-winning performance by Julie Christie. Umbrella really did a first rate job with this release. The loving care really shows.
Hi Heath, I enjoy your reveals and reviews. I’ve been buying Umbrella releases for almost all of the 20 years they have been in operation here in Aus. They used to release almost solely Australian films on DVD originally and for this I think they became well-known and respected at least with Australian collectors. I have hundreds of Aus films in all genres which I treasure. I saw Love and Other Catastrophes when it was released in 1996 and enjoyed it a lot. It was an indie film made on a modest budget and released in mainly small inner-city cinemas, nevertheless it was a reasonable success I think due to word-of-mouth recommendations. You mentioned Matt Day (who is in both this and Dating the Enemy) you might have seen him as Toni Collette’s first love interest in Muriel’s Wedding. Cheers! 😊
I wanted that "Darling" set so badly! My credit card doesn't like foreign sites, so I wasn't able to pick this up. Such an incredible film that more people need to see!
I'd say you get so many Australians watching your videos because, outside the boutique labels like Umbrella and Imprint, the Aus market is pretty pathetic - we don't get labels like Criterion, Kino Lorber, Shout!, Second Sight, Severin, Vinegar Syndrome, and so on, and we don't get many mainstream studio releases on 4k, or even blu-ray either - so you're really informative on all the cool new releases not otherwise available to us.
I got Darling today with my order of Caligula from Umbrella. Darling is 1 of only 500 edition! I think it's something Criterion would release in the US but hasn't. Umbrella and Imprint sets are awesome!
The Quiet Family is a major release. Its Blu-ray premier was in 2015-16 in a limited edition from NOVA media of only 500 copies. Now it's finally back in circulation in what's probably the best treatment it will ever receive, barring a potential 4K release down the road. Although it seems like it hasn't received a 4K restoration yet. J.S.A. is also a 4K Blu-ray premier, which is surprising considering Arrow Video released it a few years ago. It's arguably one of Park's best films (I like it more than Old Boy).
Yes I totally agree with you in regards when it comes to the new movies. For me two of the best movies of the year, so far, are Cabrini and Horizon. Having some of the Winnie the Pooh books in hardcover, that my grandparents gave me for Christmas, 1974. I don't think I can sit through any of those horror movies, but each to their own.
JSA is outstanding of the bunch. For those in the states and looking for a more affordable option, the Arrow BD release is quite good as far as A/V quality, and I think new enough to still come with a slip/booklet from Amazon (use Heath's link!). :)
JSA is great its not as good as Old Boy or the handmaiden but definitely up there in park chan-wook's filmography unfortunately i already have arrow video bluray just can't justify cost to upgrade but if its a first time buy for you it looks like a great set!
Just received and watched JSA. Excellent movie, would have been better if they had someone else direct the English scenes. :) The English acting was godawful. Otherwise it was brilliant and fascinating.
Meh, if they can present my Savior in every kind of dishonoring and counter-Scriptural way [and I’ve viewed a bunch of that because I’m not a censor], I’m not really worried about the “sacredness” of Winnie the Pooh. That said, I thought Blood and Honey #1 just wasn’t good. If they spent money and talent on it and he looked like an actual sweet children’s book character and then did what he does it might have worked.
Not when there's cash to be made. The director is already in pre-production on "Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble," a THIRD Blood and Honey movie, and now a Bambi horror movie. To each their own, but this is further proof that horror fans will buy anything.

100%! We need a US release here too.

I saw Kinds of Kindness at the theater, and I had the theater to myself. No one is talking about that movie
That laugh when you saw the art card with Ben Grimm the Pooh was awesome.

That Pre order for the Primevals Box collector edition was Sold OuT OVER 4 WEEKS AGO.....a pre ordersd out. I was annoyed they shouldve made more.
It seems that most Blu-ray specials have posters, cards, and booklets.
I love these releases so much 😭 I wonder why Pooh didn’t have a slipcase in the box like every other release does 🤔

Thanks for the info 👍
Thanks, Heath! I really appreciate the hard work! God bless and stay safe!

I'll buy the Darling Blu-ray since I only own the DVD version without all those extras, but I wish it were on 4K.
Heath just got the Primevals Umb boxset ....I have never seen it but I cant wait....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just saw the trailer Winnie the pooh blood and honey . Isn't this an irony that it was never relased to all the theaters?
@@michaelmcgee8543 blood & honey had a worldwide theatrical run and did pretty good
Thanks for the Umbrella update, Heath! Digging that shirt, too! 😎
Where are you putting all that stuff, Heath?

Winnie the pooh is a monster!
You don’t know Park Chan Wook?

Isn't a 2nd Pooh Blood and Honey movie kind of stretching the joke a bit too far?

Why buy the same movies all over again
