You certainly have an enthusiasm I absolutely appreciate. I love your channel unconditionally, because you're so diverse and quite intelligent and articulate in your discussions. I have discovered more interesting and obscure, along with current offerings that I've watched with more admiration and application because of your channel. I honestly respect and appreciate what you provide in each installment. Whatever the topic, your insight, and appreciation of film is always very important. Keep up the outstanding work and thank you for inspiring and, many times, influencing my choice as I slowly build my blu-ray/4K / dvd collection. There are many unknown titles , you've peaked my interest in, and none have been a disappointment when I decided to purchase them. Thank you! ✌️❤️😀
As a childhood fan of the U.N.C.L.E. series, I was so ready to dislike a Guy Ritchie take on the show (I was not a fan of his Sherlock Holmes movies). But got wrapped up in the film's tone, look, stars and (especially) music. I've got the bluray, but I'm definitely going to double dip for the special edition. Just buckets of fun. I think Fulchi directed a couple of the Franco and Ciccio spy spoofs, but I best remember "00-2 agenti segretissimi" (released in the US as "Oh Those Most Secret Agents") which has a scene where one of our hapless heroes is literally marked for death at a dance club. An enemy agent draws an "X" on his back as a tag for an assassin. The dance floor is crowded, so our hero keeps bumping into other dancers, transferring the "X" to jackets. Before the scene is over, half a dozen innocents litter the floor. Franco and Ciccio's broad comedy is tough to take. But spy spoof fans should check out "Due mafiosi contro Goldginger", a loony parody of "Goldfinger", with a number of gags Michael Myers ripped-off for "Austin Powers".
Thanks, Heath. Oh, and I forgot to mention the villain in "Goldginger" was played by Fernando Rey! "I worked with Buñuel! I worked with Friedkin! I worked with Franco and Ciccio!"
In case you haven’t seen, Mill Creek just announced that Ultraman Blazar, the most recently completed series, will be coming to Blu-ray this October. After that there’s just 3 more mainline entries in-between (Z, Trigger, Decker) to complete the collection!
I hope you didn't take my teasing too seriously on that Ultraman video. We even had the same issue pop up on our Ultraman podcast, the Science Patrol, where we lost an episode where we talked about one of the episodes of the first run of Ultraman. Some of our listeners asked about it, we couldn't find it so we rerecorded it and promptly somehow deleted that episode again. So, maybe that one's cursed, haha Anyway keep on keeping on and I really like that you enjoyed Taiga. They do some really interesting things in that series. I wasn't 100% on board at first but I warmed it to it as I got to know the characters more.
No, I was frustrated with RUclips--both that the video was unlisted and that it got promoted as a new video when I made it public. Multiple people commented that I was late to the party, and it made me look bad. I felt like YT threw me under the bus. Haha
I ordered The Man from Uncle as I liked the original series and thought the movie was fun. I also picked up the A Lizard in a Woman's Skin which is a nice box set. Already have the Raid steelbook and don't care for the sequel.
How could people not know Mission Impossible was a tv series? I grew up watching re-runs of it in the 80s and absolutely loved it. I had no idea people didn't know it was originally a TV series, although Tom Cruise obviously turned it into his own, personal James Bond which bears little resemblance to the show... Recently bought the tv series on blu-ray and it looks absolutely gorgeous in high def...
I would still buy some of the cool stuff you get, even with the hole in it.... and I have found some cool reviewer copies of stuff at my local goodwill, even in Eugene, Oregon
Thanks for the Umbrella code Heath! I only have 2 but I realy do love their exclusive box sets. I also really enjoyed the Arrow 4k for The Man From Uncle and not just cause I used to watch the shows reruns as a kid. . Movie was a blast and to my eyes the transfer was gorgeous. I think The Gentleman is Guys best at least for me it is.
I'm from Australia but haven't seen these ozploitations, have ordered the set though. Razorback I definitely remember the movie and the VHS from my childhood. That was an awesome set as well that sits on my shelf now. I love the concept of these sets and will order each I reckon. Much appreciation for the new code!
Heath, you're craving movies dealing with adults and adult themes. Well, the time has come for you to do a deep dive into the work of Eric Rohmer. He's just what you're looking for. I think I mentioned this before when you were promoting a late era Rohmer boxset. It's still true. But start with the earlier stuff, and then work forward. Yet don't feel the need to be a slave to the release order. Watch the ones that intrigue you most. There's a time for Gene Autry and a time for Eric Rohmer. You're in the latter time.
If you won't be critical of the art then I will lol. But I didn't get the Nico set for the cover art, it was to have the movies. Kind of a bummer the Coffin Joe set which had better art did the same thing with two movies per box.
Red Line 7000 is not a good movie (melodramatic and very unrealistic representation of stock car racing), but I have the Kino Lorber DVD in my collection anyway. 😊

You always bring next-level knowledge, Michael! Thanks for the comment--and for adding to the conversation.

Nice to see THE RAID represented! Awesome flicks.

Don't forget the ultra galaxy fight online series' with only the ultras. Those would be fantastic
Arrow also did an edition of Fighting Back with nice features.
Can’t wait for the Ozploitation Volume 2 set!
We had an old Umbrella DVD of Woman in a Lizard’s Skin here in Australia - long OOP! So glad this Bluray has come along!
Thanks, Heath! God bless and stay safe!

The siloing in our culture right now is crazy.

Oh, and I always mention to people that The Raid is fantastic and is "the stabbiest movie I have ever seen in my life."
Love THE RAID, but I think it’s weird they didn’t couple it with the sequel…
Ordered Taiga using your link. Thanks for all you do my friend.
Thanks for the discount code!!! Just bought a tonne
The Italian films of comedian To To .these films have yet to be released in the United States.

I think it may be a tie. Ozploitation 1 & The Prisoner for box set of the year. And it’s only July

Isn’t there a new US man from uncle Box set release that is just coming out?
I'd like to have that Raid set but shipping from Aus is...A lot. Maybe someone in our hemisphere will release it on 4k someday 🤙
DiabolikDVD has the lowest prices on these imports
The Raid has a 4k steelbook from Sony in the US

Mate, a terrible aussie accent is not offensive.
Cheers, it's all in good fun.
Who wrote and drew The Raid graphic novel?
Alex Paknadel, Ollie Masters, Budy Setiawan. I see that it's actually INSPIRED by the movie, not the other way around. The movie is not an adaptation.
@@CerealAtMidnight Thank you!
Heath, I wonder if the Lizard In A Woman’s Skin an influence to the sci-fi series V: The Final Battle & V: The Series from the 80s.
Don't apologize. don't give in to the phony liberals.
