I really appreciate when you go over the special features on the releases. At very minimum, I hope you continue to show the box, enabling viewers to freeze frame and see them for ourselves.
I very much enjoy watching the videos where you are very freewheeling and you start free associating. Then the impressions come out, then the goofiness comes out and that is one of the things that makes you so likable. I also love the interviews and I think the whole channel is fantastic. By the way I know I've said it before but thanks again for putting the interviews out as podcasts because that way I can listen to them while I drive to work
Stuck between a rock and a hard place. The new release videos bring in the views (and i assume keep the channel alive) but they suck the life out of you. I can only speak for myself but ill keep watching if/when you pivot. The interviews of late have been amazing.
That Hellraiser box was incredible. Umbrellas releases were incredible. That Caligula box is nuts. It must weigh 10 lbs. the past 3 weeks for me have been massive with new releases and imprint hasn’t shipped yet
Another great Vid Heath, keep letting those voices in ya head out for walk,I do stuff like that myself.Hellraiser is a great boxset, these Indicator movies look great, love that style of art work on the covers.Bless ya for a wonderful presentation, and what ever you do with your channel I’m with ya all the way😊❤
Hamilton Book for the win. Just received an order from them (they get most of my limited physical media money). Scored a nice UK edition of a book I borrowed from the library and an Arrow blu-ray that came with the slip and booklet. Was not expecting that. The original Hellraiser is a flawed film but still very good. Claire Higgens is exceptional and quite frankly scarier then the Cenobites. Having first seen the film when I was a teen I didn't fully appreciate her performance until I was older.
Love to see you trying to have fun with these haul videos. The voices got me loling. Movie narrator voice: "You've seen Heath unscripted, are you ready to see him unhinged?!" 😂 Great job as always with all the content you put out.
Big "Hell Yeah!" for Raul Malo and the Mavericks! Horribly underappreciated country band and Raul Malo has one of the greatest county voices one will hear. Even their all Spanish recording "En Español" is amazing and drenched in emotion. Just great musicianship all the way around.
I'm interested in the future Incubus release from Arrow. Having William Shatner in it, and also speaking the language Esperanto has me wanting to see it. I'll probably pick that one up down the road. Thanks for the update, Heath!
As a long time viewer im more interested in what you are watching and picking up yourself and not what companies are sending you. Happy Halloween Heath!
Thanks for the great content you put out! If I can give my opinion, my ideal video would be you giving your thoughts on the movies you have watched and reading the synopsis for the ones you haven't. If one of the synopsis catches my attention, I will go online and check the special features/colectible add-ons like art cards/etc that come in the release to decide if I want to purchase it. If I don't know what the movie is about, I don't really care about knowing about what special features come with the release. As another commentator said, you can show the box, enabling viewers to freeze frame and see them for ourselves the features included.
Personally I don't watch shorts . I'm a long time subscriber to your channel and if you don't mind making them I am more than happy to sit and watch a long video as I find all you talk about very interesting. Thanks.
Still kicking myself for not buying the UK Hellraiser box, dunno what I was thinking. Sold out now ofc and really expensive. You've got a real gem there! 😊 Also just start with first one.
They just recently released it as a US version. You should be able to get it at retail. I am on the fence. I have the Scarlet Box Set and I don't care about 4K.
Wow! So many awesome releases in this haul, holy moly! Would really love to get my wife that Hell House LLC box set. She loves that series. Are they still doing a sequel to Hell House Origins?
Heath. I appreciate the videos you post and your thoughts on forgotten gems like The Persuaders and Tales of Adventure Vol. 4. Both of which I picked up because of your coverage. Along with quite few other releases I would have passed over in the past. While I understand negativity is old and wears you down I choose to ignore it in my life and let the negative stuff fly over my head. I was born in 1971 and we have common tastes and I hope you can get to the point where it doesn't bother you anymore like it "mostly" doesn't bother me. This is only the second comment I have ever made on a RUclips video after thousands of hours of many channels. The other on a guys models train set. I appreciate people like you. Thankyou.
You're sort of experiencing what I'm going through. All the new releases are coming in faster than I can watch them and you might be down and out or running on empty. Maybe you are listening to more music now than watching movies, I'm currently going through that too. Go against the grain and do an all 'my favorite new music releases on vinyl or CD.' I would still watch. You are unique, you are searching for some way to stand out from all the other movie reviewers and that makes me respect you all the more.
That's a haul!!! I flew to Philly this past weekend to go to the INCREDIBLE Mahoning Drive in. If you love movies like these and on 35mm. Please check it out! I love this channel!!!
Heath, my brother & I watched the first two films of Hell House LLC. It’s really cool and creepy. One of the producers of the film his wife works with my mom in Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown Westchester County New York.
Hiya Heath,.."1982: The Best Geek Year Ever" was shown as a 4 part one shot series summer of last year on The CW. I found out about it after the first episode aired, but caught the second and third eps. The fourth somehow got pre-empted in my market by a sporting event. Contentwise, it is somewhat selling the nostalgia angle, but also has commentary and some astute insights from the likes of Scott Mantz, Robert Meyer Burnett and Mick Garris among others. There's also interview excerpts from creators, directors, writers, crew and actors of the films and other pop culture subjects the documentary covers... My overall impression of it, was... for what it was, it was a sharply edited, informative (and factually correct) fun watch.
A fellow Dwight Yoakam fan here! How was the show? I'm psyched for his new record! PS, I need to get into The Mavericks! Been getting into a lot of Manic Street Preachers lately
Personally speaking I hope you don’t do away with these release round ups. They help me know what’s coming out or what has come out. Also please keep going over the features, I come to your channel because you do stuff like that.
Thanks, Heath! El Vampiro is a great horror flick. The sequel isn't quite as good. It has some continuity issues matching up with the original and it features some comic relief. But it's not a bad film. It's just not in the same league as the earlier movie. Both feature an actress I like: Ariadne Welter. Please give the two J-horror sets a chance if you have time. The Snow Woman is a good place to start. It's one of the most beautifully atmospheric horror movies I've seen.
My suggestion is instead of posting one loooong video of four companies. Do each company separate. Even if you have to record them all the same day because of your schedule. Also remove the shirk wrap before taping, that will save some time. Enjoy the videos..Keep them up! Also appreciate the links in the first comment.
I have to be honest this was frustrating to watch. If you post a video where you’re essentially uncomfortable showing off new releases - if you’re indirectly telling the audience you don’t want to do it, why would the audience want to watch? Then you’re asking yourself, should I show you what’s on the release or should I just refer you to the website? All of these internal monologues you’re having externally, I’m sorry but again, it doesn’t inspire the audience to want to watch. I understand you don’t want to do these type of videos but some of these releases deserved a little more time & (sorry to say this) respect. Caligula isn’t just an X rated film, it has a lot of versions for a reason. It’s film history, salacious but it’s film history. As a child I saw an edited for TV version on Spanish language TV, I’m sure that version exists somewhere lol. That Hellraiser release was kind of a big deal for some people & to tell the viewers to go look up the special features on the website just doesn’t do the release any justice. You don’t have to read everything, you can just show the special features like you did before. I understand that you care about certain types of films but if the releases these companies are sending you no longer fits you, ask to be removed from the PR list or ask that certain films from certain genres not be sent. I enjoy your channel & I take the time to watch your videos but my friend if you don’t want to make these specific types of videos - don’t do them! Doing them like someone is holding you hostage isn’t fun to watch. On a positive note, I support you taking on sponsorships, especially Hamilton Book, they’re a good company.
How dare I be conflicted about the direction I want to take my channel. How dare I be overwhelmed, too. Instead of responding with understanding, you chose chastisement. “Make up your mind!” Comments like yours are pushing me further away from engaging here.
@@CerealAtMidnight you can be conflicted, I never said you couldn’t be, I’m saying if you don’t like doing the hauls, & you’re telling us you don’t like doing it, you’d rather talk to us about what’s on the disc - then don’t do the hauls, talk movies to us. You say these videos get the most views well I disagree, the videos you’ve recently gotten the most views on are the ones where you’re just talking to us. People will listen. I watch 2 lovely ladies Possessed by Horror & Haunted Hippie that’s all they do is talk movies to the viewers. They watch new & old movies, they review them, they give recommendations etc I don’t know why you feel you can’t talk movies too. I think you’re trying to cater to an algorithm but a lot of people like hearing you talk. I put you on when I have a long task to do, sometimes I can’t always look up (I end up having to rewind & check out interesting movies you’re showing off) you’re always engaging. I listened to your podcast with Terror Vision after this (& it was fantastic btw) & you were clearly happier doing that than this haul video. I’m just saying don’t do the hauls if it’s not making you happy anymore. Do what makes you happy people will watch.
As strange as it may sound, maybe you are longing to downsize your movie collection, or revert back to basic DVD's. Remember the early 2000's Paramount and MGM DVD's? Those were so sturdy you knew those discs are well protected. Huge bulky blu-ray and 4K box cases actually take up more room than old school DVD's if you think about it. And also there are so many great movies on early DVD's (1997 - 2004) that will never see another release. Sometimes less is more. For me, older movies look better with all the blips, holes and scratches on the picture, sort of like a reminder that the movie was made by a human being.
Awesome box sets.......Heath you got to watch the Hell raiser movies....If anything at least part 1 and 2 the later ones were not good but still watch them

Unpopular opinion, but I LOOOVE Bloodlines. That and Hellworld are my favorites of the series 😁

Yes! Along with the top films of a genre per Heath as they are often different then the "main stream" lists.
I've only bought Hellraiser 1 Arrow video blu ray steelbook.
