We hadn't started the old D in about 4 years, so we decided it was time to dust ít off and knock away the cobwebs in preparation for plow day next week.
It's never not started. But it helps that we always drain the carb before we put the tractors to rest for a long while. That is key to an easy start the next time you use it.
