Will never forget Pat. He rode our first winner, Great Light (who I rode out every morning) at Nottingham in 1981. That was a huge thrill. He also rode Sir Blessed to win many times at Windsor on a Monday night, trained by my husband Robert (RJR Williams). Those two knew how to win at Windsor! He was one of the best jockeys ever to sit on a horse in my opinion. RIP Pat Eddery. x

Hadn't heard about how Pat's life had gone since he stopped race riding and Brough Scott indicates it had not gone well.Hope he was able to get some pleasure from his old glory. For he was a true great. RIP Never forgotten.

Brough does a wonderful job here. So genuine. Pat was my favourite sportsman growing up.
Dancing Brave was great but my favourite was Golden Fleece. Life is short and we remember
    the days in the sun.

So true Brough a wonderful talent. Like so many other professional athletes when the dream ends the nightmare begins and its only then that the real battle begins. This final battle Pat lost but thank you so much for the memories xxx

Rainbow Quest, Pebbles, even El Gran Senor in the Derby were great memories and moments. Pat sat motionless and chatting with the furiously rowing jockey (Rainbow Quest) was worth the admission money alone as was the mighty mare Pebbles (Champion Stakes) brilliant

His ride aboard Tolemeo in the Arlington Million was one of the greatest ever..sat chilly saving ground on the inside..then shot his way through at the top of the lane defeating the champion John Henry with Christ McCarron

Pat Eddery was one of the best flat jockeys. Racecourses should consider naming races and/or facilities after the jockey.

Pat Eddery rode the winner of the two greatest races I’ve seen in my lifetime.
El Gran Senor in the Guineas
    Dancing Brave in the Arc.
Ironically both narrow Derby runners up.

My favourite all time jockey, but man could he be frustrating. Once see him get boxed in in a 3 horse race lol. He refused to switch and waited on the rails, but of course the horse in front never moved over ha ha . He and his horse crossed the line cantering

How does one get a hold of Brough Scott? I would like to speak with him about his grandfather Jack Seely who led our Canadian Boys into the battle of Moreuil Wood, France on March 30th 1918. Also RIP Pat Eddery.
