as long as the map is open, air strike is basically an upgrade to beggars cause its got rapid fire, and since you can launch your self at the enemy you can reduce damage fall off quite a lot as you are firing, and with a larger clip and predictable shots unlike beggars!
Open space Game with at least 1 dispenser then Airstrike is the best but if there´s alot of underground action or a bit more cqc then Beggars can be great
The Air Strike's main issue is that when rocket jumping you unleash an air strike only for them to do barely any damage because of the smaller splash radius. It should be normal splash radius when rocket jumping instead 2:33 probably means he got lucky, so he should go play the lottery instead
Tbh not really always when I used it I never had those issues the only real bad things about it is if not rocket jumping then it just kinda sucks as well reduced damage isn't great
air strike is about spam and accuracy rather than splash, since you can fire so fast it can be difficult to dodge a volley, and when you get more rockets, the smaller splash hardly matters since you can just cover a massive area its very strong if used well and as long as you know how to aim a rocket

3:31 I know this is a really small thing, but Vorobey shooting a rocket to have the ammo pack fly towards him is an awesome big brain move. Made me think he's living in the year 3024 lol!

"you don't have to sit in the sky slowly parachuting to barrage people." And suddenly... it's potential grew.
Gonna be honest this is probably my favourite video on this channel now. The rest of the content is great but this one is just, something else. The first game isn't the most interesting, but it has a funny player quickly getting angry and then swapping to every class to try and beat Voro, on top of some minor things that seem tiny but are just amazing little tricks to see from such an experienced player (Rocketing the ammo pack to collect it faster, shorting a rocket jump to grab a healthpack but leave the ammo pack for the engi that's right there) The second game is probably the best part of the video, just a really fun match with a chaotic duel, as well as some casual voice chat banter that's just great to listen to. It may not be *special*, but it's just very endearing to see such an enjoyable match And then the third game, fighting a trash-talking cheater while still managing to win both duels, and then going on to look into the guy to actually verify that they're cheating. All of this, on top of using such a fun-yet-underrated weapon. Such an amazing video.
genuinely happy to see voro using my fave soldier primary, the airstrike truly is a good weapon in the right hands, i remember getting a 20 killstreak on a trade server while i was just casually talking about a job i wanted to my friend with the airstrike, for me its just super smooth to play with
Glad you're finally showing the air strike some love! On top of it's surprise attack capabilities, the mobility it brings can be similar to the beggars. Once you learn when to hold down the fast rockets, you can perform some insane jumps.
I love how you just had a chat with the boiz in the vc about absolute random shit ever like music or which ingredients you prefer in burgers. That's one of the many reason why I love tf2
I loved that Sunshine match. I completely forgot what the video was called, and just enjoyed good duels, good gameplay, and good people. Makes me wish I could play like that.
I love the airstrike so much, I like to pair it with the conch for more speed and on maps with less/bad health pack spawns it allows me to rocket jump more.
As someone who also doesn't like being pocketed or ubered because I'm not good enough at the game to get anything done with it, that mindset isn't a matter of faith in oneself, it's a matter of simple pragmatism.
99% of the time i would agree just cause im not expecting an uber and usually meds pop it on me when i have 1 rocket or pipe left in clip and im just thinking "oh, great! now i get to either whiff all my single reload shots or waste half of it reloading!"

I cant rocket jump whatsoever nor do I play soldier too much but watching your rollouts and little movements that contribute gives me the itch. They're so smooth.
One upside of the airstrike: it does less damage, so you can get more rocket jumps and/or nuke anything around you to hell without damaging yourself as much
@Suddsy11037 to be fair, I'm not exactly sure the majority of the TF2 playerbase has exactly friendly things to be saying about the 🏳️🌈 community. But it's disappointing as a viewer to see someone you find respectable just throw that out there, you're right it's disappointing
