Lazypurple's sniper video helped explain this phenomenon. Basically you never notice the sniper until it actually hits you, so you never see how many shots they missed TRYING to hit you.
I am not sure how I do it because in all other areas im pretty mid at the game, but I hit invis spies like this all the time its unbelievable. I caught my first ban from a community server by the head admin who is a spy main lmao.

At that point, the only way they'll ever get you is when you're distracted fighting someone else. This is even worse when you know the map incredibly well because at that point most spots they can hide while invisible aren't going to work as well. Which maps like Hightower and 2fort are so well played that people often will know them like the back of their hand.
It was pretty crazy, from his pov. You DR and run to heal and soldier comes out of nowhere and blows you up mid invis? Yeah, sure, sussy. But he also submitted him shooting at random trying to find him, which makes it pretty clear that its just gamesense and luck. And we see from v’s pov too, he saw the spy “die” so gave it a sec and shot at the place he thought hed go, and he was right. From the one isolated clip i get it, but jumping on a ban off those clips seems off

They'll ban a player for being good and reading a predictable DR spy no problem, but banning a player for being a toxic piece of garbage like the guy at the start of the video? That's rare.
Indeed! I've had it a few times, and it feels good! I used to get mad at people teaming to kill me in the games I play, until my therapist told me something that changed by point of view "You are so good that people have to team up to kill you" and since then, I haven't been nearly as mad when I die such annoying deaths
The best is when you get accused of cheating when you have a k/d of less than 1.0 because some guy is a dipshit who can't hit the broad side of a barn and has no situational awareness

Remember everyone - Sample size matters. Only three cheat worthy clips over what was probably nearly 2 hours of gameplay? Everyone can make a good prediction or get lucky on occasion. It's a consistent repeated pattern of shooting someone you shouldn't know is there that makes a cheater. Additionally, you always have to give some benefit of doubt because EVERYTHING looks more suspicious in third person. For suspected cheaters, you really only know if a person is actually cheating when reviewing the first person POV. Also, if you run into straight lines and never stutter step, you shouldn't be allowed to evaluate someone's aim... Finally, I thought it was funny they thought some of those air shots were suspicious when you predicted their airstrafe, just something cheats can't do...

Sample size matters. Only three cheat worthy clips over what was probably nearly 2 hours of gameplay? Everyone can make a good prediction or get lucky on occasion.
It's a consistent repeated pattern of shooting someone you shouldn't know is there that makes a cheater.
Additionally, you always have to give some benefit of doubt because EVERYTHING looks more suspicious in third person. For suspected cheaters, you really only know if a person is actually cheating when reviewing the first person POV.
Also, if you run into straight lines and never stutter step, you shouldn't be allowed to evaluate someone's aim...
Finally, I thought it was funny they thought some of those air shots were suspicious when you predicted their airstrafe, just something cheats can't do...

The amount of people that don't understand how tracking works in tf2 astonishes me. Should have seen this one coming, if playing like that on casual matches to be kicked wasn't enough, doing THIS [18:15] will definitely get you banned in any servers. I do remember Fatmagic getting banned for doing "suspicions" kills as sniper, with smg or sniper rifle on servers
But I found this a little odd how they haven't seen you aim while being on spectate, I think it won't change much since they will be rushing for the judgement straight away, but perhaps maybe it would be a little different if they did.
