If we had advanced warning that a huge asteroid was headed our way, you better believe it would be top of mind to get off of this rock. We have to be proactive even though it is costly and it is seen as a low percentage risk. We need ways to deflect or redirect asteroids/meteors and as a backup, another home for humanity.

One billion people on earth would be plenty. Declining birthrate is not a problem. Bigger garden? More space for farm animals = less industrial farming. Unspoiled nature. Sustainable farming needs more space.
