I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.
Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.
I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock. Nothing I say constitutes as investment or financial advice.

This is very interesting. It’s strange that they talk almost exclusively about progress and it’s exponential rate, while not referencing the global planetary limits of copper or rare earth minerals required for that amount of batteries, chips or copper

I think that this correction tesla has had over the last year is now a great opportunity to get into their stock. Tesla is and is going to be SO MUCH MORE than an electric car maker. We need more charging info structure here in Honolulu Hawaii. An island of one and a half million and a 20% increase in EV adoption as of last year. We only have one supercharger with six stalls nuts!

I was thinking about the same thing. The ability to hear sound (distance, direction, intensity, type) plays a huge role in us being aware of our surroundings.

Why is self driving so attractive? I love driving .
3700 people die everyday and even more are injured. There are probably other reasons too but that one sticks out to me.
it's one of those things everybody says until you try it, it gets rid of all the small stresses during driving (dealing with rude drivers, bad drivers, women, etc). Of course it'S fun to take control once in a while, but letting this thing drive itself feels just like this is so obviously how it's supposed to be

I love driving as well. But not through traffic on my way to work every morning. Also, I love driving but my mom and grandma hate it. I rather a capable robot driving the elderly or those who don’t want to drive. That’s a better place for all.
Price per mile can be divided by 5. Think of the price reduction for any goods you buy that has a transport input cost also. Potentially farm to home becomes possible and could cut out the supermarket middle man cost too.

yeah but you only have 2 eyes and they always point forward, the 360º distributed cameras in Teslas form a digital recreation of the car im the surrounding environment having complex 360º 3D understanding of its surroundings , and those cameras can also see in wave lengths that you can't so it sees better at night and in fog than you could, while always being vigilant at everything around it at all times unlike we humans
