    There should be a law - that allows any (fully applied) emergency vehicle, running siren & blue lights - to barge through traffic - pushing offenders out of the way if they don't move (or yield the right of way) so that they can ghet to their destination all that much quicker as EVERY MINUTE COUNTS, in a fire or medical emergency - even in a violent crime when Police have to get there quickest of all - MOVE or be shoved - that should be law - and anyone with a dinged back end - or side/damage to their vehicles from NOT YEILDING will just have to sort it out with their insurances later - by not stopping the emergency vehicle at the time of that incident as they have something far more important - to get to

      oh yeah thats well smart isnt it.... what about the damage to the emergency vehicles? how much taxpayer money is going to have to be set aside to repair a police car covered in dents, scrapes and damaged body panels after every single emergency run.
      not sure youve thought that out to be honest

      Having spent all up about 34 years as either a cop or paramedic, i can tell you not every "emergency" is indeed a true emergency. You get some decent damage to your own unit, and that's it. You're out of action with a shipload of incident reports waiting for you to write. Add to that potential injuries to yourself and others.

    Those who complain about how long it takes for emergency vehicles to get there, should be sent this video and others like it to highlight problems of modern traffic conditions.

    Wonderful compilation. Friends from my station went to the UK and worked with LAS for a couple of years (as many Australian paramedics do!). They said London traffic was so congested that responding lights and siren didn't make a trip any quicker. Do British ambulance crews still travel L&S to EVERY job? I heard that used to be the case, even to limb fracture cases.

    • @british999vehicles

      They triage the calls into category’s depending on how serious but they do try to make it to you if you call 999, but it may take a while, i’ve waited 4 hours for a broken arm before.

    • @ef7785
      @ef7785 2 года назад

      For cases like a broken arm, ankle etc. you should really be taking yourself to hospital, not ringing 999

    • @coover65
      @coover65 2 года назад

      @@ef7785 I must admit I once went in an ambulance to hospital with a suspected ankle fracture. The irony is that I sustained it while on shift (paramedic). And to add insult to injury I had to drive the ambulance, so no pain relief.

    Fully agree with so many comments IE and driver who has parked in a position should be BANNED from driving no arguments, drivers that fail to move over (providing there is room) it should be moved on the vehicle blocking him sound get an automatic ban for 6 months. It may be my loved one or indeed yours that needs help be it Injury, a Crime or Fire

    I suppose the cars do get the job done or they wouldn't use them but it makes you wonder why like half the Incident Response Team aren't just on motorbikes? With cars to backup with more equipment I guess. But usually an officer uses what's on their person anyway. Bikes could weave through traffic far easier and many countries especially dense urban countries in Asia like S.Korea and Hong Kong use motorbikes frequently
