- Video #4 on the VFR750F. Found the problem in the transmission, it wasn't initially very obvious. What caused it? This video we split the cases and diagnose. Thanks for watching!
I admire your big brain. Always enjoyable videos.
Big what?.... oh, you said brain... thanks. :)
@@MotoRestoFL Not those kinda videos.
@@MotoRestoFL BTW, you've scared me with your Valk carb rebuild videos. Twenty plus years with no issues even after 5 months yearly storage (Canada). So much can go wrong......
Just purchased a 96 VFR750 with 16500miles. From a guy in Switzerland, Florida. Got to put a kit in the front master cylinder it leaks. And moving the choke cable has no effect. But the bike runs great. My first VFR. plan on keeping it a long time. Enjoyed the video and RIDE SAFE!
Go to Brakecrafters.com and buy from them. Excellent kits. I use them exclusively.
@@MotoRestoFL preciate it. Haven't gotten to the choke cable yet. But when I move the lever it seems there's no tension.
What??? 16500 ??
U R so lucky!!!!!
Awesome content on this bit. I had my VFR400 nc24 dissembled for reboring and took off the shifter assembly only to fail to put it back properly. Now the bike goes from neutral to 2nd and 3rd; no 4th or back to second after 3rd.
Been waiting for this. Thanks for the video. Hope I don’t have to go this far in.
There’s more. 3-4 days I’ll put up a supplement. Spoiler I has the Lower case on the milling/drilling machine today. Related issue. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you so much for posting this video! I was really intimidated at tackling this job based on the Honda manual. This is way easier than the manual. I have poor engagement between 1st and 2nd and to a lesser degree between 2nd and 3rd. One time it even fell out of 3rd completely. Bike is otherwise a dream! The dummy I bought it from drove it around with the clutch slave cylinder all gummed up. I am certain the damage was from incomplete clutch engagement leading to too much force on the shifter drum. I am excited to tackle this!!!
Cool. The only complicated part is that weird shifter setup with the planetary gears. I think I showed that in detail. If you disassemble try and keep the little spring ratchet gizmo together it’s a bugger to put together.
@@MotoRestoFL Thanks for the heads up! I have a 1987 Super Magna, I think the drum assembly is a little different but I am going to need to explore it as I have a small amount of play from the shift selector. I imagine there is some bent bits in there.
@@jim5alive Oh, never mind I assumed you were working on a VF750 like this since you didn't say otherwise.
