False dichotomy as in voting? You either vote Liberal, Democrat or Republican. The choice is very simple. I'd be interested to see videos done on democrat 'fallacies' and BLM 'fallacies'. Some of these examples don't even have anything to do with arguing let alone using logic, it's tactical speech in order to win for your party - ergo, the analysis is way too deep and seems to be a common trend amongst internet peeps' arguing back and fourth using buzzwords like fallacy, strawman and cherry picked - even when it isn't relevant. Seems many of these are being used because they don't like said individual, ironically an ad hominem in itself. It's like saying "we will fight like hell" is taken literally just like when the democrats wanted and got Donald Trump removed off of media platforms. Despite it being a metaphor for stand for your country. At no point was it supposed to be taken literally and those who were criminals at the DC riots were held accountable.
Wow in America we have 2 political parties there is no Liberal party Since this video only uses examples from Donald Trump and not from the team you dislike we should disqualify it in its entirety. Fallacies are now tactical speech and any analysis that is to deep for you to understand we should also disqualify. We should also disqualify because the maker of the video doesn't like Donald Trump even though you don't personally know the creator, Lastly you want to "cherry pick" what speech should be taking literally. You posted a comment on video about logical fallacies that is full of logical fallacies. Wow
@@kiroselmysterio1239 You do realise the entire video is cherry picking his speech? I was also being generous by incorporating liberal as voting independent, but it seems you are a few brain cells too short. Furthermore, you simply proved my point about it being a simple choice. You cannot get much simpler than the choice being 1 or the other. It is not a divide and conquer tactic, you either vote for the party you align with, or don't. Not to mention anyone who disagrees with you likes to throw around buzzword terms like illogical fallacies to make them sound like an intellectual when they cannot take a step back to see what the individual actually meant with intent versus what they thought what they meant. Tactical speech has been part of leaders since the dawn of civilization. Moreover, my point was that it's videos like these who seem to utilise Trump as a bandwagon to gain follower since it's all the rage these days to bash him despite being out of office and he's an easy target - making the example unoriginal. Lastly, I never said I liked nor disliked Donald Trump, nor did I disqualify all arguments in its entirety - I merely said it would be interesting to see the logical fallacies the other parties such as Democrats or pressure groups like BLM using illogical fallacies and thus point out where they are/aren't. Again, you're reading ahead of the lines with shortsighted assumptions rather then taking the statement at face value.
@@The_Caledonian @chλrles If the title of the video was logical fallacies of politicians and then they only used Donald Trump examples that would be cherry picking. But since the subject of the video is Donald Trump that is not cherry picking it's providing examples. Republicans are conservative and Democrats are liberal. Independents by the very definition of the word are independent of both neither conservative or liberal. Which kind of defeats your next point since I can vote for an independent candidate its not a simple binary choice. I never stated if I agreed with you or not, I questioned your logic. So you don't actually know my position to speculate what views would be in agreement with my position or not. Saying something is a buzzword isn't a disqualifier either, popularity has no correlation to the validity of something. See I can make my point without implying you are a few brain cells short, which is an Ad hominem itself i.e. a logical fallacy.

Since voting is not mandatory, there also is the option not to vote at all, hence to pretend there are only two options is arguing a false dichotomy fallacy. Since I'm not an US citizen it's the only option for me, as I'm not even allowed to vote in the US. He could have picked nearly any politician to make a video like this. I'd assume he picked this one because it provided the most clear and recognizable examples, though of course since I don't know the person, I can't exclude alternate motives.
Merely finding the structure of a fallacy doesn’t give evidence that it is a fallacy in all cases. Use of a Straw man leads to a fallacy. Use of a dichotomy is a true/not fallacy Use of a false dichotomy is a fallacy Use of Slippery Slope is a true/not fallacy
You’ve been waiting at least one month because you’re not really coming back here to check since you are simply a paid troll working in a Russian troll factory pushing extreme right wing criminal ideology and propaganda.
I don't find any videos based on BLM, or Biden. And yes, the solution was black and white. Look where we are right now. This crap never occurred during Trumps 4 year in office, love him or hate him.
Ha! Seems you are the victim of some fallacies yourself, hmm?? This is from a basic course in philosophy which has been discussed & debated forever. It's not political science or bias. With the former president (the "chosen one") *everything* was propaganda & "alternative facts". ✌️
As explained in the video, politicians all over the world, regardless of party, have a tendency to indulge in such fallacies. I may, in the future, publish more such analyses. I’m not a US citizen nor do I reside in the US. Trump is particularly interesting because his use of fallacies is conspicuously overt, so easier to spot.
