  • Heyo everyone!
    There's one thing I see a lot of players struggling with in Pokémon Unite: Macro Play. In this video, I'll explain what Macro Play is and how you can learn to improve your own Macro Play in order to win more games.

    I'm a solo quee player and here's my advice for all of y'all who're also solo quee players. It's being proactive, if you see that the enemies and your teammates are taking WAAAAAAY too long in a team fight where everyone is just fighting everyone and coming back after fainting, you need to rotate to the lane where you know no one is at. I'm playing a lot of Snorlax lately, a Mew main btw, and when my teammates are trying to get Regieleki, and the enemies are also trying to get it, I rotate to the bottom lane and score everything, then I solo take the bottom Regi. It'll work

    • @moondoor9031

      Can you answer me a question? People say everyone should go to regieleki but when I do the team on the bottom lane keeps scoring and I have two options... fight alone against the team on the bottom lane or try to go up there so save the lane from being destroyed by the other team. I played as mew and they leaft me alone up there with a whole team against me. i don't know what to do anymore. If I defend the base they leave me, if I try to score I lose the base... What I'm supposed to do? People say just be a better player... But how I'm going to do the job of the whole team?

      @@moondoor9031 leave it. make it THEIR problem. force them to rotate. I play league of legends and i promise u. It will win u most of ur games. Just make sure that when u do this, u know that u will get stronger. And and, the point of regieleki is not to score, yes it's lucky if u do get it but, the main point is to put pressure on that lane so that ur team can go to the other lane and score

      @@reincarnatedtobuildaharem Thank you for the advice. I feel so lost because sometimes I think I'm doing too much for the team and don't think about myself at all. I was with Glaceon, I got the 2 Regieleki, I got Rayquazza, I protected the base, I saved some team mates and in the end after I got the Ray nobody go with me to score the points they just go randomly to one side or the other and in the end I lost the match. I will try to focus on myself now, i always face teams with very good strategy... One helping the other but I rarely got anyone to back me up, so I pretty much do my battles alone tbh.

    An issue I run into a lot is people not understanding their roles. I feel like the game doesn't express this concept very clearly to players, so you'll often run into things like Supporters leaving lane to take mid's farm due to not understanding the concept of a gank, and thinking mid is just abandoning their lane when they rotate for a push early game. Def wish the game explained more things like each roles' XP needs/what their "goals" should be as their role in each game, as well as how one should pick their lanes to avoid things like mismatched role combos, so videos like this are super helpful!

    another thing to note is that speedsters are crazy powerful for teamfights or just fights in general. they may be very squishy but they deal out amazing damage. so know what you can fight and what you cant fight when playing a speedster, and when to back off. otherwise, try to pick off other mons that are easy kills or help in teamfights by dwindling their health down alot. but dont get too overconfident or cocky, try to play a bit cautious as well and strike at the right moments. getting overconfident WILL kill you and this also applies for attackers as well. ive killed many overconfident people and it makes them lose games. (this is coming from a speedster main, i hope this helps)
    and edit: another tip is to think speedsters as glass cannons. their fast, do alot of damage, but have weak bulk in return. theres a reason why their so fast and op, utilize it! help your teammates with that power! this isnt to say you shouldnt do sneaky scores, i just think its better to help your teammates overall with your power. but sneaky scoring is really good too!!

    I also managed to turn a really bad losing game into a winning one somehow in a Pokémon Unite match. Cause I just went for an objective on the bottom path (Regice) while everyone else was top defending our goal from (Regieleki) and the other team. Even if it might've been a dumb move, I did it anyway to give my teammates more hp and exp points cause it was crucial for us to be able to able to win that team fight. One teamate saw me go bottom so they followed, they saw that I was going for that other objective. So they kept watch and made sure no enemies were around while I took it out. We ended up winning cause of that decision I made, at the end my teammates thanked me for not giving up even when they wanted to. But also for helping them win the final fight against (Rayquaza) as well even if it put me in a bad position. So please try not to surrender and give up before the final boss fight, do everything in your power to make sure you can help your teamates secure that objective and I promise you'll have a higher chance of winning.

    your solo Q mentality is correct but after playing with you last night, it was the reason we lost against a 5 stack. You have to learn how to play with the team and help secure objectives, show up for team fights, and rotate on time. It was 4v5 the whole game because you neglected to do these things and it would help you progress further to be more of a team player instead of trying to carry with Pikachu.

      If it's the game I think you're thinking of, then I definitely could have done things different. However, that game in particular wasn't great all around. Our team comp was terrible. No one on our team seemed to play well, myself included. The reason I stayed bottom and farmed was so I could reach 9 and unlock my Unite move. I probably should have rotated, but I was also behind on levels. So I made the call to catch back up at the cost of the first Regielecki, in the hopes that next time we'd be able to win the fights. But the other team was not a 5 stack.

      I hate the mentality of “I don’t have ult so I’ll disregard a whole team fight that’s happening and farm to get my ult…” for what? By the time you get ur ult and try to make it halfway across the map, your team is dead. The other team now has all that exp from winning the 4v5… your ult literally will do nothing. They all now have ults/are evolved… you coulda leveled up by being present, using your CC/stuns to help your team secure ONE kill… which then will give you your ult, and turn the table in your teams favor… but, nah. 😂😅

    but for macro play there is another option which is rotation basically meaning moving from point A to B
    And it’s important to try and min max each goal zone since that has won me some games before

    One mistake I see people making, if they're not playing SoloQ which is making matches in general harder to win, is not being a good team player. For example: Idling/afk at home base, Not helping your teamates in team fights for objectives, Trying to SoloQ an objective when most of your teammates are down and the whole enemy team is there, Stealing farm or last hits on wild Pokémon when a teammate really needs it to lvl up, Not helping your allies defend your goal zones and not helping/guarding a nearby teammate score in the enemies goal zone after you've scored, Farming at inappropriate times, and last but not least overextending while critically under-leveled and then surrendering when it backfires on you.

    Here are a few more macro tips:
    1. Identify your team's weaknesses in pokemon select and choose your pick accordingly. Ideally you will have experience on a pokemon of each role, but if not, you can still adjust with in-role swaps. For example, if your team is lacking CC and you are thinking of playing Cinderace, you may want to swap to pikachu or another attacker with CC.
    2. Basically never use your unite or die when the clock is at 2:30. The whole game is the 2:00 Ray fight and I see people blast their unite and die trying to push a point ALL THE TIME!
    3. Scoring macro is actually really complex. When you break open the tier 1 goals, you give the enemy team more audinos and altaria spawns that are really safe for them to farm. If you do not break it open, they have to contest wild pokemon near the tier 1. The trade off is that they can maneuver faster to objectives or skirmishes with the speed flux zones, and still heal off berries. Generally though, if you purposefully do not break open tier 1 towers, you deny them experience and you can lock down a lead by stealing their side's wild pokemon. This is more applicable when playing outside of soloqueue, but you can still purposefully delay breaking the tier 1 for a long time.
    When I play in 5 stacks or trios, we usually will take a goal down to 1-10 points left. We will just leave it at that until ray, because you can then overcap almost 100 points. It is easily possible to score almost 400 points in those tier 1 goals, while never letting them safely farm the back lane audinos.
    If we are playing hyper aggressive, we will usually break top tier 1 open before the first regielekei. If we can push it into tier 2 (with something like zoroark jungle, or snorlax block + x speed) we can make the 2nd/3rd regi push into their base fatal and then just gate the rayquaza and never take it.

    Knowing when and when not to fight.
    When you are getting absolutely rolled, for example: two teammates not rotating, you are in a 2 vs 4 and the enemy are two levels higher than you. That is not a fight you will win 99% of the time. If you are that behind it's not worth contesting an objective. Or even defending to a certain extent, specifically if all you are going to do is get KO in 2 shots. This is even more relevant if you have fed twice.
    You are much better served attempting to coordinate, and if that's not possible, ripping farm to get on level.
    The only instance which this advice is worth ignoring is in the case of a counter push with ultimates.

    first of all: Very good Video.
    I know this Video is 9 month old already and maybe you would add something to some points to what you said already. or have a complete different Opinion on some points However I have 1-2 Points i am not agree with. first of all in your gameplay we saw you ulting right before the 2 minute mark. even if you are going down, I think it would be better to keep your unite at this point in most cases. the unite doesn't prevent you from dying, especially when you are outnumbered.
    The other one is, I would not say that Regieleki is better than the bottom regis in general. it's situational. I agree, pushing in Regieleki can give you a big advantage in Points and it can be worth pushing it in. But people really underestemate the bottom objectives. in general its better to do bottom regis when the goal regieleki would go in is at 20 points or less, because Regieleki will always score 20 points and will destroy the goalzone anyways so not very high value for the opposing team. And when Registeel is spawned I would always prioritize Bottom because the attack buff gives you a huge advantage in Teamfights.

    Bit I do have a few questions.
    How do I make sure we gain an advantage in the beginning of the fight when my teammates or enemies show up to Ray at whatever time and start a fight in a way that is just hot mess instead of my allies trying to start the fight at an advantage? (This is solo q I'm talking about ofc teammates will pick up s fight without thought)
    Also, If I see an enemy or two approaching to score when Ray is juuust about to spawn or has just about spawned, would going to fight them be a good idea to get an advantage? Or should I focus more on showing up to Ray on time?

    Is it true that you absolutely have to play "carry characters" like Greninja and Cinderace, probably Absol and Zeraora only to succeed as a pure solo queue player? I hv heard top Unite creator saying that if you play SOlo Queue with Defenders and Supports, then you are "griefing your own game" as in its a suicide move, surefire to lose games

    • @CinderRed
      @CinderRed  Год назад +1

      Not at all. There are plenty of very skilled Defender and Support mains who carry the team on their backs and win games. I actually lost a game the other day because our team was basically 5 Attackers. We had no way to hinder the enemy team. So every fight they'd just stun us and then we'd all get KO'd. CurlieQ is a Defender main who streams on twitch. I recommend checking out her stuff. She can carry a game as Mamoswine better than almost anyone I'd say.

    • @UrMeowMeow
      @UrMeowMeow Год назад +1

      Not entirely, you can win using other Pokémons, it mostly depends on who is using them.
      I carried using Eldegoss, I use damage items the best emblem I could have and full damage skills it's fun to just kite the enemy throwing whirlwind thingy at them and knock them airborne with Cotton something.
      You could easily chase them and pew pew them with the other 2nd skill with the Speed-up

    • @CinderRed
      @CinderRed  Год назад +2

      Yes. Losing a bottom lane goal isn’t that big of a deal. Especially if it means your team has the advantage when it comes to securing Regielecki. Even if they take the first bottom goal, you’ll be able to take their first top goal, or pressure their 2nd top goal with Regielecki.

      Best advice I can give is to try and lead your teammates using the quick chat options in the game. There's no way to stop someone from just straight up leaving the game, but if they look lost about what to do, or are just standing around, try pinging a couple of times. And some times you just have to make them listen with your plays, which isn't always easy. But people are more willing to listen/follow when they see what you're capable of.

    • @-Cinderace-
      @-Cinderace- Год назад

      @@CinderRed Use quick chat they seem don't care about it much, they just do their own thing, nearly lost the game they quit, they stuck at lvl 4 or lvl6 they don't even try leveling up just go ahead and dead, rank match to me the game match making 3 bot match in a row where real player well at least I free win,
      I do go up and down every time I dead giving my teammates advice what to do but they not very good so end up enemy team lvl13 and my team just lvl9 lvl10, it a circle around veteran 4 and 2 just go up and down

    I am at rank 1750, and I can say this with an absolute certainty. If you are playing greninja in lane you are not going to have a good win record.

    • @CinderRed
      @CinderRed  Год назад

      Agree to disagree. With the right support, Greninja can do fine in a lane. People just automatically assume that it's an instant loss in lane because it takes longer to reach level 7 than if you took it into the center. Is it meta? No. Is it an instant loss? Also no. Would I take it into a ranked game? Probably not without a duo queue partner to support me.
      In Standard, however, I think it's totally fine, which is what that game was. We won that match, so as far as a negative win record, it hasn't happened yet lol.
