We need a Tim and westen collaboration!
like a ride along in something he built like this would be hilarious lmao
Yes
yes
Yes
Weston should build Tim a jeep.
7:55 the supercharger plus all the work is about $10K-$15K depending on if you put it together yourself or get a mechanic to do it
Supercharger would've been around $2,000 usd, not sure what hat or efi carbs they are but full system maybe around the $3,000 mark. It would have made around 550hp at roughly 6-10 psi boost, this is a big pulley, smaller pulley = more overdrive/more boost.
Yeah my guess that is close. With all the other supporting stuff we did not see I think Tim is not far off.
Holley sniper is about $2500 for one, so already at 5k there. The blower is around the $7000 mark, plus everything we don’t see to support. Probably 15-20k.
I've started watching his videos since I saw you react to them Tim and honestly, the guy is a legend. Such a hilarious, humble individual that just wants to have a good time
Been watching Weston since he was in his little garage that his grandma let him have. Such an amazing creator, he deserves all of the respect he gets
Reminds me of my old charger. I had a 66 charger that was worked. 451 stroked & putting over 600hp
what happened to it
@@fabiihavinnhe probably sold it lol
@@viralticks8661 yep. Sold it in june after a year of ownership. U can find it online if u search up 66 charger pro street. Its red u wont miss it. I got it for $20k. It sounded mean, had a great stance etc but it was a car built for the strip. Scary to give it gas on the road. Sold it & got a cruiser 67 ive been working on.
That's not a bad guess on price Tim, I haven't looked into that fuel system, but 10-15k in parts is what they spent depending on deals
Plus if they get a tune done professionally it’s another grand or more
Tim really needs to check out the Smoke Stang !!!!
The hell jet to
I’m bummed Westen didn’t name it the CumStang
The timing when Tim said that about the fuel pump 😂
I laughed so hard lmao
About eight grand give or take in the ball park, as the injector hat (big shiny piece with the 3 circles) can run about four grand if you want to go with that. As for horsepower...could be seeing maybe 800hp on a good day.
no chance is this motor making 800, it's like high 300 hundreds it's not healthy
Did you see those tires light up. In a b-body? He's in the 600's minimum. I've got a 440 a-body making 525 that doesn't get after it like that. If that's 300's, I'll take 2.
bro its 800 hp + 440 hp on a normale day
Negative. Stock iron heads, stock rotating assembly, low compression. She probably made a strong 400hp for the first burnout until too much boost and ignition timing destroyed it.
@@johngraves9201exactly. Can't just slap a blower on stock and expect mega power. 4-500 on a good day with a good tuner and all the luck it doesn't send pistons to space
I think you would be pretty surprised at how easy it is to work on cars Tim, especially older ones.
Bro seriously. Tim’s always like that isn’t easy but it is, even for us learning off YT or just sending it. It’s harder on the tuner if anything 😂 Takes longer to ship that supercharger in than install.
As a 37 year old who only recently had to start figuring out his own vehicles cause inflation sucks, engines are WAY less scary than I originally thought.
That’s facts all they did was dead ass take out the engine then boom
3:45 😂👌🏽
I’ve watched westen for a while now n I love watching tim reacting to his videos it’s brilliant 👌😂
am i the only one that ALWAYS responds with "love you tim"?
Haven’t been on the channel in a minute coming back to Tim reacting to Westin is a elite collab
3:53 the perfect timing of all time
we need westen to invite tim out to his shop and give him a ride in everything he has
The beautiful part about living in Kansas and Oklahoma. No inspections!
I love how west just didn’t care about afr at all 😂 bro just revs it with no looking at if it’s lean or rich at all this is wild
That rust is a top layer rust. Called patina. A lot of guys will clear coat over top of it and leave it that way. With certain cars and trucks it looks awesome. That setup with the supercharger is probably between 7k and 10k. Really depends on everything not shown. Now he probably gets a big discount because of his audience.
Tim and Weston collab, Tim you buy a new block and internals for tater and go to get Weston to rebuild it so the supercharger doesn’t destroy the internals or blow a piston through the block that’s easily a 5-10 part series…did anyone else just get chills?
passes inspection 100% of the time everywhere but CA lol
Westen is for sure my spirit animal
tim kansas doesnt have inspections, the only inspection that happens is for your license test and they see if its got working lights and thats it lol
I love Westin but I never thought I’d love watching Tim watch Westin 😂.
Tim’s lack of mechanical understanding will never get old. I installed my first supercharger on a 68 GTO in 2002 at 12 years old lmfao. Line the bolts up with the holes Tim 🤣🤣
Love these videos Tim we need more with you reacting to whistlindiesel
3:33 bro whaaat😭😭
Itd be awesome to see Tim driving around in Tater. BUY ITTTTTT!
That engine is going to blow instantly 😂😂😂
As a man from the south, Yes. That is how you properly say it. "Throw me a supercharger on there."
The crossover I’ve been waiting years for
The funniest thing to me they threw a supercharger on an old RV engine 😂
Tim! You need to do a reaction to video to his smoke stang**. I’m literally waiting to see this 😂
A supercharger can range between 3k and 20k depending on what it's for and how big it is
That one is around 6/8k
Shelby GT 500 for a long time was my dream car (from Gone in 60 Seconds). After I got out of the Navy I bought a few older cars.
I had a 1974 Chevy Nova and a 1978 Z28 Camaro that I bought for $7000 total. Unfortunately when you buy cars off a farm they have a lot of issues.
A good chunk of money and time was spent getting those cars driveable. I ended up getting rid of them as I didn't have the time to keep fixing them.
That's the reality of dealing with older vehicles/rebuilds.
If you want to just own and drive the car (without major mechanical work), I'd recommend buying the car in better condition than I did. Expect to pay a pretty penny to get a nice one (50 to 100k+).
And make sure that the frame is in good shape.
To answer your question tim, it probably has anywhere from 650-800hp. No clue the exact amount cause idk the hp before the super charger went on. But that big ass super charger can add anywhere from 300-400hp😭so yeah
Bolt on supercharger, it just bolts right into place, makes it easier to put it in compared to other supercharger kits
That car doesn't need an inspection, it's a '68 it's considered a classic "antique" vehicle and therefore is exempt on inspections, at least here in North Carolina that's the case. Been an inspector for over 6 yrs now.
A supercharger kit is about 15,000 with everything else western put on the probably spent around 20-25,00
No inspections we’re I’m from and most likely not were he’s at lol 😂
Supercharging usually costs about 10k after everything. a big blower like that is more expensive especially one to fit that old of a car
Wes is a madman. Tim, you gotta get a 68 Charger next to that C170
One thing west is good at is blowing up engines
Motorhome engine probably about 200 hp. Given its old we can safely take 30 or so out. Big old blower and new efi fuelling easily double that figure. If it lived to Dyno it would probably pull 500 on a good day. Possibly more
We need a vid where Tim learns how to install a super charger 😂
BRO I LIVE IN WINFIELD, I THOUGHT I SAW THAT CAR 😂
the supercharger itself isn't where ur gonna spend the most. its the install.
Love this mans vids he’s hilarious, and your reactions just make it better
Man I can't, for the life of me, find any info on an 8v71 supercharger beyond the fact that it is a diesel supercharger. I'm sure it can be adapted, but this particular one is relatively inexpensive. Bout $3k for everything you see in the video. My Pro-Charger for my 2013 Challenger SRT8 392 cost $8800 but pushed the 470 HP stock to about 620 HP. Now I am at the limit of my stock internals so the next move is forged pistons and rods all from JE Racing. They don't add hp, but will make the internals stronger for addition HP gains. Other upcoming mods are rear seat delete kit, 6 point roll cage, fuel cell swap, port and polish the heads and bore it out a bit. Goal is 800 whp daily driver.
to be honest. that car is running a lot slower than it could. thats basically just a giant air intake. it needs better fuel management to show what it actually can do
Tim you should make a video with westlin it would be an iconic duo
Tim we want more of Max Fosh and Beard Meats Food 👍🏻
I live a little over an hour from Westin Chaplin I live in Hutchison ks and I’ve met him and I’ve been in this charger and his Cummins mustang multiple times he is as crazy as his videos and it’s amazing
Depending on the kit and size of the supercharger, anywhere from 6 to 10 thousand. Some more exotic blowers can be north of those figures easily.
Try 20k chief
@@graydenguthrie97 From what I can find, something similar to what was in the video was 8,895, but stuff mostly ranging under
@@Puzzer17 $1100 on ebay used
It's actually pretty easy Tim parts aren't hard to fit 😂😂😂
am i i the only one that specifically just watchs tims reacting vids
For the blower and intake about $7k. Add in the two efi throttle bodies and top hat ya 10K is close enough
The reaction video that I never knew I needed to see 😂😂😭
An old beat up charger still looks hella good!
The whole setup he put on was around 7grand the blower and hat were about 5k and the sniper was about a grand and the electrical components was about 500 altogether the blower system added about 200 hp without a tune but with a tune it could but upwards of 600hp added
that is what i would love to do with my el camino. either that or a big turbo setup.
Love ya tim and I love them Westen boys 2 😂😂😂😂😂😂😊😊😊
It it had a wax and clear coat on it it a look fire prolly a new bumper too
Bring it to Idaho. No inspection!
tim, sniper is the brand, efi stands for electronic fuel injection, conversion kit is just change. so instead of just the engine natural taking fuel, fuel is forced into the engine making more power
Also I’ve seen supercharger kits on eBay for this car at around 3k but also name brand kits for around 10k so you’re on point with that!
The smoke-stang he has is awesome
He’s about 20,000$ in 🤣
I agree with everyone here that says you need a collaboration.
Make that happen!
Did they forget oil? Maybe he needs to push the gas pedal harder.. lol
Dom Torreto already did this in 2001 😂
Putting a super charger on a older engine like that is about a 4 hour job that is for people that know what they are doing it’s these newer vehicles that are a pain in the ass bc you can tune them by a screwdriver, you have to have a laptop, high tech software, and it’s just a Pain to do any high-performance on these newer vehicles
This is like the Dukes of Hazzard on steroids YEEEEEEHAAAAAW
13:12
Bro, there's a EK and EG hatchback in the background!!
just the blower kit is work about 8k add the efi adn everything on top probably loking at about 12k-15k on this set up and u can get up to 1000 hp with that set up
Rat rod style
just got home and a new video from you is the best timing
$15k or so for the supercharger, the hat with butterflies, and the fuel injector stuff.
YEA LETS GO
tim...working on cars is as simple as tying your shoes if your mechanically inclined. you know what needs to be done, getting it done safely is always the key.
🤣....
30 year ASE master tech w/adv diag..... welding certs, aftermarket certs, factory certs,.....
No,no it's not. You just think it is because you don't deal with the new vehicles. Just wait until you are dealing with a Canbus issue that the engineers themselves are stumped. You have no idea....just because you put some brake pads on your old jalopy ride. Parts installers are easy to find. Even then the mistakes I see and have to go behind and repair many times are uncountable at this point.
Without RUclips and how to videos most pretenders wouldn't even know where to start.
Y'all are lucky in that regard. I ain't salty about y'all trying and learning but to sit there and say it's easy? That just tells me you don't really know.
@@johnnyringo35 Truth. I build 2 strokes but I learned that by myself, RUclips didn't help me in any way, old mechanics and young tuners did.
inspection LOL
It’s about 15k with efi and all
I love when Tim watches westin ❤❤❤
Ha trust Tim I’d totally by a junker Muscle with you and we can build front he ground up and have them for derby and fun like how westen is doing it! Westen is awesome 👏🏻
keep feeding me this car content😂
Always seen your shorts but now you’re watching one of my favorite RUclipsrs? You’ve earned a follow kind sir.
12:47 the cop fine af tho
We need a Tim and jynxi collab
I got a Ski Doo that is 300 Horse Power. She Did 114 Mph in 500 feet in 4.7 Secs!
Just forget having invented a way to get running water in homes, that supercharger is the best thing man has invented lol.
Every classic muscle car restoration initially looks like that - the brand new engine parts on a beat up car - because those guys always replace the engine and mechanic before the body.
One of the coolest paint jobs I have seen on old American muscle cars are when they just clear coat over top of the old patina.
Have you watched the Smokestang yet? The 12v Cummins ecoboost?
Definitely check out his Cummins mustang videos
Tim we love the same thing its the dallas cowboys DC4L
Tim found his lost family 😂
For a decent competition one for drag racing it'll be about 8 grand give or take depends on model of vehicle and engine
If I became rich or could choose 1 dream car to have it would be a 68 charger. Hands down. Love this car.
it would be awesome if Westen took Timmy for a ride with one of his car or all 🤣
Get him into Smokestang!
Tim you NEED to react to australia burnouts / cars way better then ^^
“Not saying I’m going to” Tim’s totally going to.
If I'm correct from my high school drag project car, it was $15k. I know a brand new engine with a supercharger added to it already can get up to 20k
