From 1980 through today, seen the Floyd, and all Gilmour, Waters & Mason tours many, many times. I was fortunate to have been able to do so and I am grateful to have had the opportunity.

Even before he does it I know you're going to be amazed when you notice finally that's not another guitar but that's actually David Gilmour vocalizing along with his guitar!! People listen to the studio version and just don't realize it and think his voice is another instrument is David's voice!! And yes I've seen Pink Floyd live four times in three different decades! I've seen around 100 concerts in my life anywhere from ACDC to led Zeppelin and in between alphabetically and never seen a better concert than those four Pink Floyd concerts!!!!!!

It was amazing to see this live. 1994 and 2016 for me. With all of the soundscapes they made, the simple beauty of this song has always captivated me the most. This man is beautiful in every possible way.

Yes, they actually did encore. They did wish you were here then they went to comfortably numb and they ended the concert with run like hell.

Great reaction and song. I noticed a guitar in the background you should try learning it , it really is a fun song to play on guitar, the chord patterns and two solos are fun to learn and play 😊.

I'm 72 years old. This was not the first guitar lick I learned. However, it was the first Pink Floyd lick I learned.

Yep, sat front row dead center with a dozen friends in The Superdome, New Orleans 94. Have seen Floyd live 4 other times, starting with DSOTM. For this Tour they brought with them, original Dark Side saxophonist D. Parry who absolutely nailed down the outro solo on “Shine On” with both sax’s around his neck. Backing vocalists were pitch perfect. And to top it off, David has said in interviews that his best live performance of “Comfortably Numb” was that night in New Orleans. This was the last time I was able to see David and Richard perform together. David’s solo concert, Live From Gdańsk is also worth the time start to finish, as is Roger Waters 2016 Mexico City Show. Regards

I can’t agree that after Rogers stopped performing with Pink Floyd, it was no longer PF. People seem very opinionated on this topic, but I don’t think Rogers’ singing and playing was such that his absence left a gaping hole that couldn’t be filled. I saw Waters’ “Radio K.A.O.S.” tour six months before seeing the PULSE tour, and while Waters’ show was good, it wasn’t in the same league as PULSE. But of course, your mileage may differ. To each his own.
This was the most expensive tour in history, to that point. There were three of these stages hopscotching each other around the world, and each took three days to set up, two more to break it all down, and more than 50 trucks to move it from city to city.
The PULSE concert was the band’s last tour together, and was in support of what became their last studio album, “The Division Bell”. The name “PULSE” came from the fact that the original CD release had a red LED light in the spine which flashed, or ‘pulsed’.
Since you said that it’s been 8 years since your last Floyd reaction, I’m not sure when or if you’ll be getting to another one. But may I suggest “Coming Back To Life” from PULSE, with its ethereal opening solo, “Run Like Hell”, their concert finale on nights when “Comfortably Numb” wasn’t the finale, or “High Hopes” from PULSE, a wistful look back at the days of youth.

Great reaction! 1994, 30 years exactly from the founding of Pink Floyd in 1964. At this point of their career there are only 3 actual members of Pink Floyd here on stage, Dave Gilmour, Nick Mason, (drums), and Rick Wright, (keyboards). The 3 old guys here, the rest of the musicians and singers here are PF's touring band att.
Although bass player Guy Pratt joined the band when Waters quit and has played bass for Floyd all these years, (about 1986 to present). He was playing bass in the 2016 live "Comfortably Numb" video you reacted to.
Roger Waters, co-founding member of Pink Floyd in 1964, quit the band in 1985, the other 3 continued on as Pink Floyd until Rick Wrights death in 2008.
In 2023 Gilmour, Mason and Guy Pratt released a single as Pink Floyd, in support of the Ukrainian war effort. Singing the song in Ukrainian is a popular Ukrainian singer. The song is called "Hey Hey Rise Up"
Some outstanding performances from The Pulse Concert at Earls Court in London are,... "Comfortably Numb", "High Hopes", "Sorrow", and many, many more. Also at this show, they performed the WHOLE 1973 "The Dark Side Of The Moon" album from start to finish!
This was the first time they had done that live since the 1970s!

If you want to see them 6 years earlier, in 1988, I strongly suggest: Pink Floyd - On the Turning Away Remastered 2019 - RUclips
I had the chance to see Pink Floyd in concert in 1977, 1988 and twice in 1994 at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal.

Which the beings is the end of the last song. As i bought a high dollar quad receiver in 1976 and this album. The previous song the end drops front channel . I'M PISSED OFF , then this comes on and bring the front channels back on. Amazing ! Saw this live 5 times and many other videos where the crowd sing the lyrics no matter what country they are at.

Yes, I saw them live in 1976. Not only was the soundscape incredible, but the light show always was as well. Here's two you should check out. The music was always primarily David and Richard, while Waters' deep insightful poetry put icing on the cake, This is David and Richard, in one of the last performances before Richard passed away:
ruclips.net/video/kqXD5NKj4d4/видео.html ( Shine On You Crazy Diamond - David Gilmour live @ Gdansk 2006 ) You get to see what the "glass harp" listed on the album is - three guys playing chords on wine glasses. And David gives a moving performance of the vocals, as Syd was his childhood friend and it was very tragic to witness Syd descend into madness....
ruclips.net/video/rU_k8BNCcOM/видео.html ( High Hopes - David Gilmour live @ Gdansk 2006 ) this one has the string section of a Polish Orchestra accompanying and David delivers a truly angelic guitar solo at the end which will bring tears or goosebumps.
For some context on Floyd after Roger left, watch this interview:
    ruclips.net/video/RsRljXfaNu0/видео.html ( 2015-09-19 - David Gilmour - Another Side of David Gilmour - CBS This Morning )
Finally, David is still delivering musical magic, here is part of a series of home movies so to speak he and his family shot during covid lockdowns. Featuring he and his daughter Romany doing one of his latest solo songs:
ruclips.net/video/dGdEe8yp2TI/видео.html ( David Gilmour with Romany Gilmour - Yes, I Have Ghosts (Von Trapped Series) ) Can you imagine having David as your father, and sharing wine and song, surrounded by family (he and Polly have 8 children)? Here is a most interesting photo album set to David's music showing how incredibly similar the young David and Romany are:
ruclips.net/video/T_gQ_D5yhAE/видео.html ( David Gilmour and Romany Gilmour - Kokineli )
