George isn't blowing smoke! I was an excellent wrestler and football player in high school who began taking adult ballet classes at the age of 37. In five years I had graduated to intermediate advanced ballet but here's the thing. I was in the absolute best shape of my life and broke the over 40 PFT test for male officers at my base.

In the same vein as this, many NHL hockey players train some figure skating in the off season. Good training for balance and edge work.

One of the few channels on youtube that goes straight to the point, instead of focusing on the ad revenue from 15-minute videos with a question on the title to which I can't find the answer and end up moving on disappointed. Thanks, Pat!

I have been dancing intensively for about 10 years and I play sports and I can confirm it helps A LOT.
With balance, strength (legs, core, and arms the most), and DEFINITELY coordination.
I remember when I started soccer/ football my coordination skills with my feet/ legs were already really good for a beginner

I dont think gymnastics is gonna progress anything for football as for ballet trains muscles that connect with the mind, teaches you that when you fall you cant get mad because you already fell, theres no point in getting upset, football and ballet connect in a way gymnastics not really unless your trying to progress more muscle

I remember whenever i did ballet. The worse thing about it wasnt the ridicule, it wasnt even having to come out to my parents that i was gay. No the worse thing about ballet was the anal tearing. An asshole just isnt made for that damage. I lost so much blood
