Have CalTran contact Philadelphia for instructions (12 days). And have cameras before toll plaza, cite speeders and mail them the ticket. Two tickets, suspend their license for 6 months; three tickets, suspend for 1 year. This might motivate.
Its a good idea, but California is overpopulated it's not as easy as you think. These billions they made they should've built another new bridge like the bay bridge then it will solve the problem. I doubt it they would rather keep the money and be greedy it's been happening for hundreds of years.
@@MichaelHemotoxin Assuming you're not a Troll, I ask you, what is causing the problem? The toll plaza OR bad drivers. I ask with a pure heart because the FIX is different given the cause.
Who's this random guy, John Grubb, saying the the toll-plaza booths need to be removed because some ass crashed into them? Hundreds of thousands of drivers, maybe millions, have successfully driven BETWEEN the booths in the years since the toll collection was automated. Now some fool cashes, and it's the booth's fault? That driver was clearly out of control, and would have killed others a few hundred yards later when the ten (maybe more) lanes narrow down to two lanes. These empty booths function as a speed control, and lives were likely saved by them Monday night. Don't remove them.
States are removing tollbooths because they are another place where a crash can occur and cashless tolling has better efficiency. And it is not just the states; many countries have all electronic tolling. Fun fact, in some other countries these license plate readers on toll roads are used to enforce speed limits as well.
@@AshmewStudios Exactly, and the buses have bike racks which can be used. Current hourly bus service that's indirect needs to change. (Also, not many bikes are using it because Marin isn't keeping up it's promises at building safe bike paths on its side of the bridge - once you cross into Marin you are competing with 45mph traffic and no bike lane - though Marin will start work on them "soon")
@@OEverything exactly, a bus lane with improved bus service will benefit way more people than the dozens (yes, *dozens*) of people who use the bike lane daily. And it’ll benefit people who can’t bike long distances and people who don’t have time to bike long distances. And it helps to actually reduce car traffic on the bridge (yes, bike lanes are good in cities, but most commuters aren’t gonna bike 10+ miles to get to work). Buses with bike racks will be much more useful, and a bus lane will ensure that it doesn’t get stuck in traffic.
@@AshmewStudios Yeah, although making it more convenient to bike will result in more bikers. A long term solution is not to just paint bike lanes everywhere; it is to disentangle the bike routes from the car routes to make it more convenient to cycle.

Nope we need more toll Bridges. More chp checkpoints. More security checkpoints. More us customs and immigration checkpoints.
A toll bridge even becomes ai and space age. One hundred percent profit and safe and secure so no human is needed.
Get rid of the troll booths
Yes they broke the automobile toll bridges across the country from California to dc to Virginia.
They think there sitting pretty.
North Oakland martinez
Are you sure you don't need a city or state district again and some water innthat Bay.
Get rid of the bridge.
In texas they removed the toll booths in 30 days - all of them.
Even for the big bridges?
Richmond don't exist.
How much does that toll make yearly?
They're still charging tolls, it's just that the actual booths aren't used anymore because they have gone to fully electronic tolling
The bridge needs a 2nd bike lane. Not all bike riders are at the same speed. This is an urgent concern!!!
It needs to be removed.
@@chibi_rabbit It should be removed and replaced with a bus lane with frequent bus service. That will actually alleviate some of the traffic problems
