Blatant corruption and hypocrisy. It’s extraordinary income for a personal expense account by some unscrupulous employee?

I had to dispute two separate FasTrac toll bridges invoices. The workers who sent me these invoices were not reading the front license plates correctly. I had to send them two photos of the front license plate on my car. I also left a note telling FasTrac that they need to start giving their employees eye examinations.

I received one, and I have not been to California in 40 years! The plate they had a photograph of was on a car, and my plate is from a different state, and on a motorcycle!

My boss was on vacation in Hawaii. He got a ticket for driving his motorcycle accross the Richmond San Rafael bridge. The picture sent was totally black. He won and never had to pay. But should have never happened.

Hi, I was wondering. How did your boss fight it. I received the same thing with a pitch black picture and the day they're claiming I crossed a bridge, I was actually at work several towns away.

@@kirstenspencer3630 ok thanks. Yes I started getting my timecard at work and details like that but while I was at work, my wife decided to call and waited till all the options that they offer were done and eventually the call went to an employee so my wife explained it and he checked the picture and said oh ok you're right. The car was a different brand and the license plate had only one number different from ours. So it's settled. Thanks again for responding.

"Mistake"? 🙄 Sure. A number of times I paid in cash and ended up receiving invoices. Luckily, I always asked for a receipt, but one time I lost it-- I ended up having to pay again. I guess cameras only work in their favor! 😒

For me, I've only had one error on my FasTrak. one time I crossed the Bay Bridge and it charged me twice (within 5 minutes). How's that even possible during commute hours? But they quickly refunded me the double charge after contacting them.

Never been to California but from what I see a my observance I believe this state-run bureaucracy known as fast track needs to be defunded and also to I believe all express lanes and carpool lanes that are operating under the state of California through this little bureaucracy of fast-track should be open to the public at all times not just at certain hours of the day during the week but should be open. I believe the residents of that state they pay more than their fair share through their vehicle taxes yearly and registration fees.

my 1958 Ghia, hasnt been on the road for 20 years, was charged for crossing the Bridge. It has an old black 6 digit plate I contested it, the actual car seen at the toll booth was a late model toyota, white seven digit plate.

I have been charged for tolls for decades. I tried fighting it for a while, but gave up. Its the Benicia Bridge. When I did contest it, they could look it up while I was on the phone, and the vehicles were no way similar to mine. They were also charged at about the same time each time as well.

BS I received one the picture was so dark you can tell what kind of car you couldn't see the plate you couldn't even tell what color the car was but yet they still magically identified it as my car. I wrote them and said like if I can't tell what kind of car it is what color any part of the plate number how can you?

Also running into the same issue. They keep sending us violation notices on the temporary dealer plate that was registered to our vehicle (no longer have the temp dealer plates). Fun part is that the vehicle in the photos is a completely different one from ours and FasTrak's license plate reader is reading their dealer plate incorrectly as our old one. We got the work around of "oh, well just keep disputing and unfortunately we don't have a solution."
