Why would you want to compete in a pointless race? The only problem EVs solve is pollution in Chinese cities. China is burning half of the world’s annual coal production to generate electricity. Germany started on the same path by closing all nuclear plants and reopening coal burning ones. EVs won’t make a dent in CO2 emissions but in the meantime idiotic policies destroy the industry.
Where would you get all that extra copper from? Electric cars are amazing in abstract- also they happen to be worse than ICE and happen to pollute more, just like renewables are a coping mechanism; wind turbine blades would contribute 43 million tons of landfill waste globally by 2050 these can’t be recycled either. Reality is we’re in no position to completely shun from fossil fuels… it’s like vegans wanting Avocados, killing 100s of animals in the process!
Idiotic video makers like these won't be there a decade later like ICE engines. Chatgpt Gemini, etc will give EV sales data and why Volkswagen is shutting down.
I would presume..VW closes factories due to high energy costs. Putting more EV's on the road will increase demand on electricity, thus increasing prices of electricity more? Or the whole green German idea is to power EV's by building more coal power plants. :-)))
Yes it’s true, EV sales are stagnating. What they don’t tell you is “EV sales for legacy car makers are stagnating” not sales from Tesla or Chinese EV manufacturers
@@markdorman52 I agree! China should be paying those robots money on their highly automated advanced EV production lines. I'm not sure if their AI is good enough to be grateful for the income though.
IT is funny to see policy makers want greener energy. But Chinese EV are providing cheapest solution yet, they make it expensive for the people. That's like hypocrite at work.
The problem is that buying Chinese EVs can hurt us. China has a significant advantage due to lower labor costs, and the CCP is heavily subsidizing the industry. Chinese manufacturers are producing so many EVs that they need to sell them globally, which drives down prices and negatively impacts domestic brands, putting local jobs at risk. Many countries may need to implement tariffs of 100-200% on these imports. However, Mexico poses a challenge, as they can bypass these tariffs when exporting to the U.S. It remains to be seen how this will unfold. The priority should be to protect local jobs, which outweighs the benefit of buying cheaper Chinese EVs. Knowing the unfair wage gap, we should be supporting wage grown and trade with countries in the same boat despite the higher cost.
@almontoya5703 Western countries are too capitalist and will have hard time catching up with less raw materials available for them. So basically customers paying high prices for nothing.
It's called "incentives" here in the US/Europe, and "illegal subsidies" in other countries. It’s called “high productivity” here, and “overcapacity” there. This is all called “rules-based order” here, and “breaking rules” there.
Gouvernment paying 10000EUR for rich customers to buy 100k eur car from our money. Meanwhile gouvernment can't pay me 1000EUR to buy an Ebike. Cannot afford a car. They just care for the environment 😂 What a joke!
I would have to agree that micro mobility solutions are the greenest solution for short distance transportation. The fact that nobody in government and industry speaks to the true car centric nature of the green mobility situation. EVs are mostly about the car culture and selling expensive goods to those who can afford them.
The new narrator sounds like they're presenting a movie trailer. Everything Is So Big And Important! Please don't Americanize DW on RUclips. DW is unique in what it offers. Hold on to that.
several reasons but most notable are 3: failing to learn from history and repeating Kodak, Nokia, etc., big oil propaganda and third lacking innovation and productivity in comparison to China.
If you didn't have to lug around a huge battery costing thousands and you could use Nikola Tesla tech to charge it wirelessly anywhere it could work. BEVs are worse in almost every other way. If you live in a detached house it's easy for you to charge your EV, not so much if you have an apartment.
Kodak, Nokia, etc failed because they were outcompeted by market competitors. The Chinese gov't doesn't believe or practice competition, much less market competition. The global auto industry is being hit by the China's mercantilism.
Europeans can’t compete rising China so move goal post and put tariffs on Chinese cars. Well done. We gave subsidies and state discounts on electric cars, charge points no problem but blaming china for same and saying not fair. I have driven several nice prestigious German cars for years. I have also driven new Chinese electric cars. I loved them they are excellent in value and quality. It is shame we are going back closing our door. We as consumers will be paying very high price for our incompetence.
It's called "incentives" here in the US/Europe, and "illegal subsidies" in other countries. It’s called “high productivity” here, and “overcapacity” there. This is all called “rules-based order” here, and “breaking rules” there.
The problem is China has the big advantage as their labor cost is significantly low. When all the products are made there, American workers suffer. China is unique as they also use slavery in some industries. It's very hard to lower wages in Western countries. The workers have more power than workers in China. With that understanding, if we want to support wage growth, we should support local economy. We should trade with countries that have similar salaries despite the higher cost
So what happened to competition? Sure some will fall by the wayside, other's will thrive but the consumer, most of us will benefit, I'm not in support of big corporations
@almontoya5703 you are out of your depth. The west is not able to compete because it is still relying on human labour whilst China has gone ahead with robotics. Out completed, the west is now trying to change the narratives by trying to influence consumers and or making ev adoption more difficult or expensive, so that it's auto makers can survive.
@@almontoya5703 That's not true. Plenty of countries around the world, such as India and Vietnam, have lower labor costs than China. Many manufacturers are already moving there. But a lot are still staying in China as they can mass-produce efficiently, that's one of the main reason they have lower cost of production. The idea of using slavery in China is nothing but a disinformation released by US govt agencies. It's all about stifling the development of China and ensuring US global control. Everything else is just a smokescreen.
It’s true but electric is not the future, I bet more in hydrogen than electric, the reason the mass of production batteries are polluting more than co2, electric is going to fail hydrogen is the future.
@cristian333GTX Toyota sure would like is to believe that, since they're barely beyond the technology they had fifteen years ago. They'd like you to think that something 2-3 years away will be the real future, like solid state batteries or hydrogen. Just buy a gas or hybrid today is the message.
The answer to Why Automakers Are Betting Big on Gasoline Again is simple, for the majority of consumer gas cars have 2 big advantages: 1 Gas cars are cheaper 2 They are more convenient to use for the majority of people
ICE cars are only more convenient for people that don't have access to home charging. Meanwhile there is electric service available just steps away from where everyone parks their cars at night. It is not too big a leap to provide electricity to all home parking spots, making EVs much more convenient for everyone.

@@robertanton1862 yea i hear ya, there are not yet solutions IMPLEMENTED yet for all use cases, i live in an apt too and have no convenient home charging. but if you think about it, electricity is (neary) everywhere, most of us are never far from electricity, so there just needs to be political will to make street charging a common thing. in some places they're already adding curbside charging from electric poles and old payphones. also, if u have a solar car, like an aptera, it should be able to charge up what u drive in a day, unless ur daily driving is really far, and in that case EVs are still not the solution for every day yet.
Why don’t we shift to affordable hybrids and affordable EV for the lower “ working class first…”- which is the bulk of the population… Then build big, expensive EV for the fewer wealthy people…. What is the point of having $50K EVs when there are $30K Corolla hybrids? Lower class workers just can’t afford EVs in USA when there are cheaper alternatives…
DW seemingly wants to protect uncompetitive German industry. So many critical facts conveniently ignored in this piece. One being that China, the largest auto market in the world already passed 50% plug-in market share this year.
You're absolutely right that China’s rapid adoption of EVs is game-changing. It’s a trend that’s putting real pressure on the global auto industry to adapt, and we’re watching closely to see how German and other manufacturers respond.

China has been working on EVs for almost 30 years,. In this time, German automakers enjoyed their largest and most profitable ,market in China, and did not take Chinese regulations seriously until they got the "wake-up call" - they were sleeping. Now they are back-peadlaing in Europe to avoid bankruptcy. US is even worse - caught flat-footed and now hiding behind "national security" to lock Chinese out of the American market. What was the staff or DW drinking when they made this video?
I don't think the staff at DW were drinking at that time. More likely they were smoking cracks or sniffing cocaine with all the grant monies they got from part of the US allocations of over a billion US dollars in anti China propaganda program.
I think that was much of the problem for the German car companies, because they were making so much money in China they didn't bother with any R&D. BMW did a great job with the first i3 and could of been a world leader in EV tech, but they realised it would hurt their current business model and so didn't carry on with it. Its the same for GM with the EV1 and Toyota with the original Prius. Now the Chinese will hurt Germanys business model and they only have themselves to blame.
The video is an accurate depiction of what is happening. Don't shoot the messenger. If you want the situation to change, incurage people to purchase EVs from legacy manufacturers. I don't know if you've herd the expression "wish in one hand and poo in the other and see which one fills up faster."? Wishes don't catch fishes. People do what they think is best for themselves. When EVs are affordable and reliable and easy to charge and people see that value, then EVs will sell themselves.
no, China didn't. 20 years ago China was making very few cars. Li-ion cells were invented in Western countries and made practical in Japan 30 years ago ONLY. First Li-ion car was a Tesla Roadster - only 15 years ago. Yes, China made a lot of progress, but mostly copying techology from others, and improving it. Not s single radical innovation went from China. BUT I'm happy about Chinese progress - as the country have reached 50% share of all cars sales. Fine! I hope China will go to 100% by 2030.
The consumer prefers big and sophisticated. That's the problem. Car automakers follow that trend. Little but high efficient engines gas or diesel, hybrid option. By now that should be the temporary best option. Light cars, not a tank on wheels. What is in the future. It depends of new techologies not coming yet.
I’ve never seen DW out right lie this much on environmental videos. VW EVs are not selling because their software is terrible. All these legacy manufacturing lost China. Many like Jeep closed their Chinese factories. Globally EV sales were up 20% globally. China which sells 30% of all cars sells 50% EVs. I could go on and on debunking the lies in this.

I'm sure wind and solar are doing a great job of changing all those EVs at night on a calm day. Renewables are great for reducing hydrocarbon use when they are producing. But, they are NOT a direct replacement. Hydrocarbons are energy storage. Wind and solar are variable power that must be used the instant it is produced or be lost. Battery storage costs are completely prohibitive to grid scale storage.
It‘s only shocking to marketing and soulless beancounters. The average carowner wants cheap and reliable transportation and doesn’t really care about what’s the power source. If they listend to their customers, the manufacturers would have been spared from this indignation.
If you want cheap transportation and you are traveling less than 10 miles/16 kilometers an E bike or E scooter is the greenest, most affordable, often fastest solution.

This year, EV sales were projected to exceed 14 million units, up from 10 million last year. While the EV market is expanding, growth is particularly strong outside the EU and US, as consumers gain access to affordable Chinese vehicles that offer greater range and advanced technologies.
The US is Ok with made in China products by importing $427 billion dollars of good from China. Germany is Ok with made in china products by importing 155 billion euro of goods from China. The reason is that, till now there is no solid proof of this slave labor claim about China. I have watched the reports done by dw news. Not a single video proof was provided. Not to mention that fat that Chinese EV companies are highly automated. Few labor is even need to produce the cars. As a result, worrying about the slave labor used in making Chinese EVs is just nonsense
But you think only for today, not for tomorrow. Cheap Chinese products come at a cost tomorrow. They have no long lasting support and also you are dependent on the Chinese. 7-10 years ago we had a Chinese produced pickups. Sold to some government structures like Fire and Forest protection agencies, rural police department and such, also some private individuals (but no more than a few thousands). Let me tell you what happened - no support after warranty and in the last years no support in the warranty. The company had declared bankruptcy. No schematics of the Electrics, no schematics on the 4WD. And the 4WD system is the most problematic at the moment as it is an automated and electronic clutch. If it brakes there is no way you can rebuild it. They have even tried switching modules from working trucks, to non working trucks and still does not work. There is a problem in the psb board, or some other electronic equipment within the 4WD system, maybe serializable boards. There is no diagnostic tool, even reputable middle class diagnostics do not work on them. And the pickup is toast. With everything else working. Is that what you want from an EV. On top of that an EV is really dangerous, because of it's batteries and BMS. I do not want that from any car, especially an EV. I do not care how cheap they are now, as in 5 years time if there is no support, the value will be 0. And we will be left with a garbage that who knows if it's even recyclable.
Thats daft. They can continue making ICE's on their old factories for some time, the cost being sunk - and prepare ICEs for 'alternative fuels'.... But electric cars are just more efficient. And robust. And cheaper to run. With solarpanels becoming cheap too every electric car owner can make his own fuel, too.....
And consumers don't want EV's like many projected. Because product is just not good enough. And how many companies in world does make profit out of building EV's?
so most of these automakers gave up on the idea of swappable car battery to increase sales which is wicked. The chinese Nio EV swap for 5 minutes. with a 3 car parking space for a single station, 10-13 batteries available swapping device for each single station and 60 minutes for a full charging on each battery. There will be no unavailable battery in this systems and the company can replace a faulty one if exist.
In example. No more Yaris or Fit for the US. Big mistake. They are more ecological than a heavy battery powered car. Check it out. It is a fact for the first 14 years using a Yaris or a Fit instead of a Tesla. it is a fact. less carbon footprint. Does a Yaris/Fit give you status? NO. It is pure efficient transportation. Vanity of the consumer is the problem here.
People here in the USA have been brainwashed for far too long that bigger is always better. Too many have bought into the lie and have watched their retirement nest eggs evaporate to keep the gas guzzler going. Don’t get me wrong, solid conservative in other areas and happy for the Trump victory. Here’s hoping that Elon works with the new administration and does release an affordable BEV for the masses. Then true market forces will be at play to silence at least some of the critics.
The big car companies have no choice at all. They simply cannot make EV's at a profit. They will exist until the consumer decides to choose from profitable EV makers like Tesla or BYD.
Rocking my '11 Accord coupe bought new. Driving my '12 CT200h more though since it's very fuel efficient. 177k miles now and no fear of ICE crapping though HV battery may be due for replacement anytime now. Waiting for better batteries because currently, battery replacements either cost too much or not made available. Eight year warranty is too short, heck, operability is covered three to four years only because that's software and not covered by the longer batter warranty.
For people who are in tune with new technology, EV is naturally a choice to go for. But for others, especially those who are used to ICE and have sweet memories with ICE, they are not going to let go of ICE so easily. In fact, the pro-ICE group is currently larger than the one who is driving or planning to drive EVs.
Things will drastically change when cheaper EVs with next gen batteries are cheaper to purchase than the equivalent ICE. At the end of the day most will go for the lower cost option
And? Aren't you forgetting something? You say THAT automakers are betting on gasoline, but never answer WHY automakers are stalling and staying with ICE. As an engineer I know there are tons of more parts to manufacture and put together (time is a cost too) and you'll never even get close to the efficiency of an electric motor. If you really are pushing a gasoline engine you might get above 35% efficiency but at what cost, even more complicated crankshaft solutions like Mazda, controlled timing of the valves with variable camshafts and complicated intake with variable length and exhaust with variable volume. A diesel can be pushed above 40% to 45% efficiency but that isn't even close to an electric motor with easily 85% and better up to 98%. Better yet, you have your own gas station at home as long as you are connected to the grid or have solar panels of your own. With prices going down on lithium so price will definitely go way under a normal ICE car and silence and not to forget the sheer fun of the acceleration of an EV what's not to like?
Great points! The efficiency gap and simplicity of EVs really should make them hard to beat eventually, especially with the convenience of home charging. Carmakers are likely sticking with ICEs due to market and infrastructure challenges, but with EV costs dropping, the shift feels inevitable.
gasoline engine are ranged over miles. Durable ICE last for decades if used less often with lower rpm.. EV battery will degrades over time regardless of usage. That includes hybrid car battery. There is no value for an EV car after 10 years unless they made a replaceable battery. 2027 EU regulated use of user replaceable battery for phones. EV battery is built on chassis. EV is complementary to ICE and will never replace diesel or gasoline ICE. It is something that you use and dispose, not collect for occasional drive.

Both the US and Europe has been way too late to investing in the entire EV supply chain, and the longer they wait the worse it's going to get. This is why China is dominating right now, they invested early and they stuck with it.

Hence, no electrical car in my family.
ICE vehicles are in terminal decline! There will be no "dead-cat bounce"... for those who know that expression. That is normal, the law of the market is at work! The present trends are showing that the last ICE vehicle will come out of the last assembly line before 2030 in China, about 2 years later in Europe, and a further ca. 2 years in North America. There will be no need for "2035 bans", as the law of the market, a MUCH more powerful law, will have done the work earlier than that! You are spreading the rhetoric of the companies that will likely be obsolete in a couple years. They should have reacted 10 years ago when they still could compete with Tesla and the Chinese winners like BYD, Zeekr, LeapMotor etc. They are probably doomed now.

It is rather simple none of the legacy car companies are able to gain marketshare in EV let alone make profits. Tesla and the Chinese are leading with Tesla making great profits and BYD is not losing money. Tesla is updating their range for a new growth spurt The reaction of the legacy companies? Scaling down and waiting for government support! So the future is easy to predict Tesla and BYD will continue to lower prices as batteries become cheaper and economies of scale come through as the Qtr 3 results by Tesla clearly indicates.
It all comes down to politics. In California, EVs sales are continuing to grow exponentially, and Los Angeles has twice as many EV charging stations as gas stations. Automakers are betting on ICE cars again because they lost to Tesla and Chinese EV. Especially German automakers are is trouble now. I think we will have a huge change in European Union’s policies on green transformation. Suddenly ice cars won’t pollute that much and suddenly we will be able to buy German ICE cars past 2035 😉
I owned one myself. After the first winter, i replaced it with an internal combustion car, 50% less milage in winter is really a problem and expensive.
The idea is to move forward with mobility, not backward. Even if you get to do karaoke in your brand new Tesla. The essential purpose of a car, moving from point A to point B, is simply much more practical and convenient with a fuel-driven vehicle.
I love V8s but I have nothing against EVs especially utility vehicles. That'll make our cities a bit quieter. I prefer riding an eBus to a noisy diesel one.
They are admitting that EVs are failures and only Toyota had the prerequisite brains and eyes to foresee the disaster EVs would bring to companies like VW and Stellantis.
I currently drive a Korean EV and I will not go back to ice cars so my options are either to go with Korean cars or Chinese cars which I'm happy to do either way because tesla are too expensive.
Any company that pivots BACK to internal combustion at this point won't be around by 2040. That's insanity. That's like ditching the gas car to double down on carriages for horses.

LMFAO. Sad but true.
You spread disinformation not just goal post.

@almontoya5703 I also agree with you on that point.

The answer to Why Automakers Are Betting Big on Gasoline Again is simple, for the majority of consumer gas cars have 2 big advantages:
1 Gas cars are cheaper
2 They are more convenient to use for the majority of people
ICE cars are only more convenient for people that don't have access to home charging. Meanwhile there is electric service available just steps away from where everyone parks their cars at night.

Surely 😉 But Why Tesla Layoffs 30,000 Employees and Why Hertz got rid of 30,000 EV'S 😂😂😆
Yeah. And become dependent on a product that is made by a regime that is malevolently minded towards the west.
I used to be a doubter of EV, not any more. Can't wait for the BYD Shark coming to the US.
EVs really are pretty great commuters. I'd go with a used one before a chinese one. That's not a can of worms anyone should want to open.
Yawn...
@@markdorman52 someone sounds forced to watch videos and read comments.
MR Chinese EV's Shills detected 🔥🚒😂
Of course… the sun shines 365 days everywhere!
Except when you need to refuel them. EVs simply don't offer the same transportation services as petroleum and hybrid electric vehicles.
Solar panels generate power even on completely cloudy days.
ONE THIRD of all car owners don't have the ability to charge an EV at home.
so most of these automakers gave up on the idea of swappable car battery to increase sales which is wicked. The chinese Nio EV swap for 5 minutes. with a 3 car parking space for a single station, 10-13 batteries available swapping device for each single station and 60 minutes for a full charging on each battery. There will be no unavailable battery in this systems and the company can replace a faulty one if exist.
So long as the world uses diesel, gas cars aren’t going anywhere.
We heard the same story from kodak about digital cameras and from nokia about the iphones. Bye bye vw, mercedes, bmw, ford, gm, citroen etc.
🚬
But .. didn't they just bet big on EVs and lose billions??? They sound like an addict chasing a high. Not a rational investor....
ICE propaganda is larger and the sheep follow
Your well though out post will be over the heads of most here
Great points! The efficiency gap and simplicity of EVs really should make them hard to beat eventually, especially with the convenience of home charging. Carmakers are likely sticking with ICEs due to market and infrastructure challenges, but with EV costs dropping, the shift feels inevitable.
Can't compete china directly so stop competing, brilliant strategy, bravo 👏
Almost like if the legacy car makers started worrying about this 15 years ago instead of spending all their money on super bowl ad wars...
There is no cure against stupidity. Yes, you can try to push gasoline a few more years but you end up nowhere
gasoline engine are ranged over miles.
The Germans are very funny creatures !.. they damn know the future is electric but since they are not in the bandwagon they try to villify it as much as they can in the hope of some naive people out there somewhere will believe in them and buy legacy !!.. they are like little kids, without hope of them getting adulthood !..
Substitute "Automakers" by "some European manufacturers that have done a really BAD job with EVs". The others have done their homework and are, really, angry at those few German carmakers that hadn't done their homework.
May I ask why these goverment agencies, including media, giving contradictory information?
Government agencies say whatever is on their agenda, same as news organizations.
People, have different opinions, understanding, and agendas this leads to a wide range of options and subsequent news.
Rarely is the truth high on the list of criteria for publication.
Both the US and Europe has been way too late to investing in the entire EV supply chain, and the longer they wait the worse it's going to get. This is why China is dominating right now, they invested early and they stuck with it.
Yesterday Europe bought
cheap gas from Russia
now cheap cars from China
EU doubled down on Ukraine and closing factories because they cannot compete without cheap Russia energy. US is having a good laugh 😂
The European EV hiccup is due to the war in Ukraine. It will not impact the long term EV trajectory....
EV’s are the obvious future, old oil tech is dying off, and everybody knows that. VW, Stellantis and other legacy automakers are getting clobbered by Chinese and American EV’s.
Germany/VW have caused their own problems
Without oil there is no electricity you mor@n.... plastic and syntehtic materials for the car the insulation the fking electric boards in the car is oil product....
If I have one car in the family, I want it to be able to run at least a thousand kilometers per day non-stop. And I want to be able to refuel it easily in a few min. Hence it will not be electrical. Only if I have two cars in a family I will consider electrical one as an option for a city car, smaller one and cheaper one. There is no way I will pay more for it than for a principle one.
Those that fight this mega-trend, like the ones "betting big on gasoline again", will be the first to go out of business!
You're spewing nonsense. VW and other automakers are in crisis because of these bs EVs that are pushed by degrowth fanatics and that nobody wants. ICE
@@Briat763 Yes! You are correct! ICE vehicles are disappearing because cheaper, to operate, better products are replacing them.
Guess what will happen in 1-2 years when EVs will not only be much cheaper to operate, but also cheaper to purchase?
The traditional automakers that won't be able to take the turn, will know the same fate than horse buggy manufacturers in the early 20th century!
And it's 'about time!
@@st-ex8506 Yeah, nobody buys them. Hence automakers losing billions of € because some lunatics told them to invest in them.
Been hearing/reading the same *** for years now "they will be cheaper in x years.", yeah... still not and they will never be.
Tesla Layoffs 30,000 Employees, Hertz getting rid of 30,000 EV'S that's a WIN WIN 😂😂😂😂
Automakers who are really struggling and can't compete on EV's (losing money) are doing this, yes. They want to keep the ICE gravy train running as long as possible. Sad!
Better charging infrastructure, lower priced EV’s, supportive government, and media are the keys to successful EV adoption 😎
Lithium batteries are not the answer, no matter what you have been sold by the mainstream media. more and more people are realizing it.
In other words - nanny state. No thanks
Let's hope all those items fall into place sooner rather than later!
You are spreading the rhetoric of the companies that will likely be obsolete in a couple years. They should have reacted 10 years ago when they still could compete with Tesla and the Chinese winners like BYD, Zeekr, LeapMotor etc. They are probably doomed now.
Wait until crops start failing, then people will wake up.
More CO2 = more crops
We should be focusing on greening of the energy production...not wasting resources on cars. I would love an electric car, but more important is energy.
We are ...but changing all the fundamentals takes decades.
@@Luke-PlanesTrainsDogsnCars I agree. But the idiot politicians need to realise we cannot pull a rabbit out of the hat by 203....
still better then dirty electricity and also dirty vehicle gas.
@@Luke-PlanesTrainsDogsnCars
Ha, but somehow everyone wants full global EV adoption by next Monday.
Europe and USA, are spent fortune on the war. You be supprised if they still have any money left for anything else, specially for improving the electrical infastruction.
Mediocre report 👎👎👎
Accurate = mediocre apparently.
We can't have reporters report facts. They should tell us what we want to hear because that would make it true.
If Harris wins the presidency, EVs will continue to grow because she is a Californian. But if Trump wins, I don't even want to think about all the bad things that will happen.
Its so sad for ICE i get it. But dont mix lies with reality. You only discredited yourself.
I never followed this EV madness. The tech is not ripe enough to go full force adoption
I'm not getting an EV at least until 2035.
Ripe enough I would say after 5 and half years and 110,000 km of EV driving. I can't think of any circumstance that would make me go back to ICE.
@@kiae-nirodiariesencore4270ice makes loud and cool sounds tho

Yet it's working in country like Norway and china , the problem is your government and corporation that want to keep pollute to run vehicles exist
The best combination is fuel generator and a electric motor and between a copaciter or a battery.
Sincerly.
A car is just one transportation option. For my daily commute, I rely on a bicycle and public transit, reserving car use for weekend trips to the suburbs.
European and US brands are only interested in making premium priced EV for higher profit margin which most average consumers can't afford. Also a fact that Chinese started making EV before even Tesla started. They had time to refine and improve in the last 20 years.
The floods in Spain and the hurricanes in America should be a wake up call regarding climate change.
Climate change is a scam, don't be fooled by politicians and mass media, they want you to pay more taxes. Climate is changing, all the time, that comes from the Sun, we don't have control over that. We can only adapt.
Yes let's tariff the companies selling affordable reasonable products.. Then sell big ridiculous EVs that'll surely lead to sales
because the usa said NO
Petrol head Jeremy Clarkson predicted some time ago we'll all be driving Chinese EVs in the future, the US and EU can't stop progress, in a vain attempt to save their ICE manufacturers who got left behind.
Tesla is not changing to ICE, it's profitable and going no-where, although the CEO could wind his neck in and sell even more cars.
If it were not for government subsidies, even LESS electric cars would sell. Use your head for something other than a hat rack
A propaganda piece
I love V8s but I have nothing against EVs especially utility vehicles. That'll make our cities a bit quieter. I prefer riding an eBus to a noisy diesel one.
They are admitting that EVs are failures and only Toyota had the prerequisite brains and eyes to foresee the disaster EVs would bring to companies like VW and Stellantis.
I currently drive a Korean EV and I will not go back to ice cars so my options are either to go with Korean cars or Chinese cars which I'm happy to do either way because tesla are too expensive.
this is misleading news, when in reality affordable EVs are people's dream to own.
😂😂😂
Any company that pivots BACK to internal combustion at this point won't be around by 2040. That's insanity. That's like ditching the gas car to double down on carriages for horses.
