  • This video applies to banggood or Amazon purchased planes listed in the title. I’m no expert but I’m still flying after breaking the prop adapter and fixing it myself. Couldn’t find anyone else who’d replaced this propellor base and I know they break a lot since they’re provided in the replacement parts.

The motor shaft also has a flat side that needs to be lined up with that bit 👍🏼

Thanks! Once I saw the flat bit I oriented the base to match up and it slid on with no issues.

The base will not go on shaft all the way if the flat shaft feature doesnt match with the same feature in the prop base . A short shaft protruding through the base is the warning you are misaligned. I struggled til I realized to match the flats. Manual is no he

Use the propeller to push it on, hold the nose of the plane right behind the transmission assembly and push. And the base will go on the shaft back to the proper position

My propeller-base/adapter/mount also broke. It was a pain in the a** as you have to be careful not bending the motor-shaft or dislodging it from how it's placed in the foam. I think the ppropeller-base/adapter/mount is slightly glued in so what I did was use pliers to squeeze the plastic 'neck' of the mount so it 'disconnects' from the metal shaft by doing it at different angles. After that, then I pulled the adapter off like he did here in the video. Thanks for uploading this. It was nice that they include a spare propeller but they should include back-ups of the propeller-base/adapter/mount as well. Or thicken the walls at least or make it made from polymer.

The engine shaft has a flat side you just have too look hard to see it , and the replacement piece has a flat side. Hard to see

@@RS-yl8vy the motor is inside the plane. The plastic adapter broke so i pulled it off like the guy in the vid. I tried to put a new adapter on it but it needs so much force that i am now scared to break the motor. The adapter is on the motorshaft now but it is only halfway on it (the motorshaft isnt sticking out)

I just destroyed the motor on my 400mm Corsair. I'd like too replace it with maybe more powerful, but I don't want to do the whole receiver transmitter thing, just maybe a stronger motor?

Might be tough project, motor fits into a gearbox. Bigger motor won't fit diameter wise.

Deja ENFRIAR el motor entre vuelos al menos 15 minutos, asi te durara bastante, si no lo haces muere en pocos vuelos.

El motor de serie tira de sobra para este modelo.Yo hago loops y rizos a medio gas.Simplemente te elevas bastante, picas a fondo, enderezas, y a esa velocidad, a medio gas ,hace todo sin protestar....Saludos.

Dear Michael, may I ask you how to remove the adaptor? Your video help me know how to use the new one. However, I found it is hard to remove the old adaptor!

    • @NightNurseMike
      @NightNurseMike  Год назад

Push on something solid in the area surrounding the prop shaft with the tip of a pair of partially opened needle nose pliers. That way you’ll be applying even pressure and it won’t be applying pressure at an angle that makes the piece get jammed as you’re removing it. If you don’t use pliers or something to push as you’re pulling then you’ll likely pull the motor loose. It’s held in with foam and the prop adaptor is stuck on too tightly to pull without counter pressure

Feliz vuelo.

ok. i first , when i put all in the correct place, i tested the correct funtion and used celo tape for fly test and then i glued the external union on the fuselaje with ciano and in this form the union is strong and renovable if you want wthiout problems.@@NightNurseMike

No they don't! These are ALL made by Volantex - including ALL the rebranded labels like Eachine! They all use the propeller shaft with 1 flat side. The XK A180 F-22 is about the only little toy that I know of that uses screw on props.

  • @Doggeslife

Nice video. I like to slide a pair of tapered tweezers between hub and gear drive frame and pry it off by using the tweezers like a wedge.
When installing the new one it's a good idea to use a wood dowel or stick inserted in the battery cavity to push on the back of the drive shaft so that you do not damage the foam and tear the drive loose pressing the new hub on.
There's an option for a rigid hub too, with a little prop modding. The hub is also available in 2.0 mm size to fit the gear drive shafts: ruclips.net/video/e1hPKCGKz24/видео.html

    • @Regusband

Get it cheaper on bang good. They last a long time, the motor won’t burn out before you lose it in the neighbors tree or demolish the rest of it
