      Crimson is a native of the Greed ring, meaning Greed is in his nature and that often can cause even intelligent people to make dumb decisions. That's part of why Greed is considered a more dangerous sin than Lust since it causes people to act more violently and more naively in pursuit of wealth and power.
      Then again considering he's an Imp, Satan is probably the only Sin Crimson Respects/Fears.

    I don’t think it was actual power scaling. Crimson just called him the weakest because he has Fizz as a weakness that can be easily exploited. He’s also non-threatening because he doesn’t want his relationship with Fizz to be revealed. So just by holding Fizz hostage, Ozzie can’t go out of his way to save him because then people would question why he would go so far just for a random business partner. On the other hand, If vortex was kidnapped, Bee would just go destroy the kidnappers without a second thought because her relationship with him is already out in the open and she doesn’t care. So, the culture of hell is absolutely meaningless to her because it's all about what she wants regardless of what anyone else thinks.

    From the way Crimson’s goes about it, I don’t think Ozzie is the weakest in terms of physical power, but mainly his unwillingness to resort straight into conflict in comparison to the other Sins. After all, he didn’t go to fry Crimson after getting Ozzie back, and he let both Moxxie and Millie live after Millie hurt Ozzie.
    And, of course, his relationship with Fizz is his weakness. While Bee is the only other Sun we’ve seen so far, who seems to be rather opposed to straight up confrontation until pushed, we don’t know how the other Sins are until we see them on screen and in action.
    And even if he is the physically weakest, he’s only under less than ten other characters, with him still up there in power and easily stronger than the Ars Goetia princes and Overlords. If anything, it’s more impressive that “mere” imps like Striker and Crimson are capable of having these powerful beings like Stolas and Ozzie on the ropes.

    I think you also have to consider that Asmodeus here actually seems pretty genuinely chill about being crossed until it threatens Fizz. A Prince of Hell, no matter how powerful, is probably considered weaker by creatures as wardriven as the Imps (and especially an Imp steeped in Greed like Crimson) If they aren't willing to throw down and display that power violently. The consequence for annoying Asmodeus is getting kicked out of his Nightclub, not death, therefore he's considered a "soft" target.

While Ozzy even though Millie assaulted Fizz, his not so secret lover, business partner and money maker, on stage in plane view and only verbally kicked them out, even though no one would blame him if he physically kicked them out or worse. Meanwhile Asmo put on a performance and told Moxxie and Millie to just leave even after hurting Fizz. Even with the abduction he remained relatively calm. That would make Ozz the only Goetia that is a Sin which could indicate that Ozz got his position as Sin to appease the Goetia by having one of their own in the highest echelon of power. I personally think Crimson said that to get under Asmodeus's skin. We haven't seen all of Sins yet and while with the Greed Ring being featured a bit more than others, it's possible that Greed is "more powerful" than Lust. But think about it, if we see how well managed each ring is, Greed doesn't really look like he's got a handle of things in his ring, with crime running wild, Mafia gangs trying to overpower each other, it's hard to say. Also, i don't think the ram and boar heads are just for show that Asmodeus has. Also... Crimson shouldn't talk because he DID get tricked by CHAZ of all demons. Like.. dude, you're head of your Mafia and you didn't VET THE GUY?! I think that's a characteristic of Greed for Crimson, much like Striker, their need for power and glory plus with Crimson, looks like he wants to become an overlord of the Greed Ring, they're not the brightest. I think we have yet to see Ozzie's true power and we might get that later. thought a littttle bit disappointed that Ozzie wasn't paying attention to the contract, but i think that was a way to use Stolas in the episode...
    Also it might just be a idea from me, but so far Bee is influenced by emotions around her or what she calls "energy", it may not be the best way to fight and it might be a downfall if she went up against another Sin. She likes to party which fits her Sin!

    I think maybe part of why Crimson called Asmodeus the Weakest Sin is that he doesn't have as much influence outside of his Ring as many of the other Sins do. For example, we know that the sex industry in the Pride Ring is controlled by Val, with Asmodeus probably only being involved at supplying the sex toys for Val's promos; but there isn't any signs that he any said in the matter how that kind of business should be handle. Sure it might be that none of the Sins do have any influence outside of their respective Rings, but if all this contracts talks in this video is true, then its especially true for Ozzie.
    This could be why Crimson feels safe to insult Ozzie since he's in the Greed Ring where Ozzie doesn't have the reach to get to him without breaking some deals made with Mammon. Of course this also means that if Crimson or any of his goons try to do something in the Lust Ring, there going to F**ked in a very different way than the usual, like with whatever happened to Crim's lawyer.

    I think Crimson’s dig at Asmodeus was mostly about how he rarely needs to show his strength/fury to rule his people and that Crimson himself views emotional attachments as weaknesses that can be exploited.🤔

    Calling him the Weakest Sin does track, look at most media where the Seven Sins are brought to life or made into beings, Lust is typically at the bottom of the pack with Envy, Wrath and Pride being the Top Dogs. And it makes sense, Generally I feel like you can divide the sins into
    Three Categories
    Mostly Non-Violent: Lust, Gluttony, Sloth
    In Between: Greed
    Violent: Envy, Wrath and Pride.
    Lust, Gluttony and Sloth typically are sins of indulgence, which is more about self harm than harming others, Greed is similar but it's more about getting as much stuff as you can, regardless of who it belongs too which can easily lead to violence. However, Envy, Wrath and Pride are usually Sins that are violent by naturee. Envy means you want something or dislike someone because of something they have and either seek to take it for yourself or destroy that person or that thing. Wrath is basically being angry and violent all the time, lashing out at anything and everything that makes you angry, and Pride is basically believing you're above anything, so violence aginast others isn't seen as a problem.

Both from a general hellish point of view, but especially from Crimson's. We know how he treated his own family, so I suppose that's the way he jugdes everyone.
    But as you pointed out, deals are a very important power factor in hell, and what else would lure anyone into making a deal than emotions? The need for something one cannot achieve easily on one's own is the best motivation for making a deal.

    I think picking Lust as the weakest of the sins makes perfect sense.
    In Dante's Inferno, just a small fanfiction some may have heard of, it's the least worst sin as it's a sin born out of lack of self control, in comparisson to other more major sins that have you make very conscious choices to be bad or at least is far more harmful to others, compared to Lust anyway.
    All other sins are more destructive and overall harmful in comparisson. Making Lust and by extension Asmodeus the weakest is a deliberate choice to reflect reality.
    So I think Lust is the weakest sin because it's the least harmful.
    And making the Princes of hell only as powerful as their sins are harmful makes sense, does it not?

    • @pancakepop680
      @pancakepop680 11 месяцев назад

      Doesn't make sense. Lust is one of the worst and things like wrath could easily be argued to be a lack of control.

    • @ProfessorNilo
      @ProfessorNilo 11 месяцев назад

      @@pancakepop680 Did you even read what I said?
      Yes one may argue that Wrath is just as much of a sin you can't control, but it's infinitely more harmful than Lust. Wrath is the sin of violence and it directly causes harm to those surrounded by it... how is that a weak sin?
      Also please explain to me how exactly Lust is destructive or rather how it's more so than the other sins. Just claiming it is, isn't a great argument. Prove your point with an example or at least explain what you mean.

    You know it’s just occurred to me - there is always constant confusion between lust and envy because most people fail to see the distinction between them, seeing them more as two sides of the same coin. What if Asmodeud is the weakest sin not because he GAVE away power, but because he SEALED it away to not be reminded of his ‘possible’ association to Leviathan?

    based off of the newest Ep, where we get to See both Ozzie and Mammon in their beast modes, it brings into perspective wether or not Asmodeus can use the fire that surrounds his hands and neck, and we've seen the impeccable damage fire can do, and while Greed seemed quite dangerous, i think that Ozzie's concerns mainly stems from Fizzarolli being an Imp, and the things (if he's not careful) can happen to him in that kind of place without a bodyguard or Asmodeus himself by his side.

    My headcanon is that Crimson only referred to Asmodeus as that due to his lack of commitment to his assigned sin as a result of his relationship with Fizz, nothing specifically to do with literal power/strength.

    Alot of the breakdowns im seeing of him as the weakest sin sounds like people are thinking of weakest in a power level kind of thing. Its kind of obvious in context Crimson sees him as weakest in a more social/emotional context. Asmodeus doesnt seem to go out of his way to be evil and his attachment to fizz makes ozzy more pliable to demands which the other sins likely arent(though i guess bee might be? idk)

    The OG list is usually:
    Pride
    Envy
    Wrath
    Sloth
    Greed
    Gluttony
    Lust
    And while not the strongest, it’s still a major Sin, legit one of the most terrifying demons. The ring they are in is most likely just the size and production rather then power in this case.

    Considering that Asmodeus's demons are stated in these episode to be some of the few demons that can reliably and legally trabel to the human realm, that would mean that he may be the only sin that can influence humanity efectibly.
    That would imply that Lucifer gave Asmodeus special benefits, so either he is supper loyal to the king of hell and lucifer is rewarding that loyalty, or he is more useful or powerful than the other sins and lucifer wants to ensure Asmodeus loyalty and usefulnes by probiding him with "gifts" that would keep him in good terms with the king of pride while working to lucifer benefit (remember that other sins like Mammon are not completly loyal to lucifer and sometimes take advantage of him like what happend with LooLoo land).
    That would put Asmodeus as one of the most powerful sins of hell, maybe the top three.

    It honestly depends on who is drawing Ozzie in comparison of just raw power. Remember in S1 Ep7 during the House of Asmodeus song , Ozzie lays down in front of Moxxie to sing "Little imp, you came here to sing your serenade~." In that scene, he looks about as big as Bee's "beast mode." But in this new episode, he seems a lot smaller.

    • @BlazeIgnitus

      It's not so much represented as the "weakest" sin but the one that is most forgivable. In Christianity, at least, the Seven Deadly Sins are all still considered to be forgivable, if one repents. One commonly held thing is that the one truly unforgivable sin is Despair. It's where the other seven stem from, but also something more.
      It's the conviction that one is damned absolutely, a repudiation of the power of the savior, of the power of grace and forgiveness that is infinite in the Abrahamic deity. The "seven deadly sins" are attached to objects of the world, and are still forgivable in that one can overcome them. But Despair is... different. It bleeds out, beyond the ego-centered self, relates to no desire, no thing. It is complete and total surrender.

    I wouldn't read too much into the statement. Moxxie's dad thought Ozzy was the weakest prince because he has someone he loves who can be used to exploit him. I don't think it can be used to describe how much he can personally mess you up one way or another.

  • @wolfofthenorthwinds7477

    I think Crimson was just insulting Ozzy. But it could be argued that Ozzy has more weeknesses despite being greatly powerful. He's having a secret relationship (but everyone knows) with an imp that can't fight, which can get kidnapped and used as leverage like in the episode. Ozzy is noticeably nice to his staff which makes him appear "soft" which many see as weak even if that individual is very dangerous. So Ozzy might not be the weakest but he's not taken seriously enough that demons like Crimson consider him the weakest.

    I feel like the statement wasn't quite as literal as people make it out to be. I think what Crimson meant by weakest was that he had the most exploitability in the form of his attachment to Fizz. Despite being a demon of Lust, he may perhaps be the most sentimental out of the 7 sins and more attached to things; thus being viewed as "Weaker" in comparison to the other sins. That's at least how I viewed it.

    one idea ive had is that asmodeus having two roles (sin and goetia) might actually make him less powerful in the hierarchy of the sins, since he isnt purely devoted to his sin and likely has some family duties as a goetia. plus since hes a goetia (who have been shown to at least be killable if not just a high ranking mortal hellborn species) it might be possible for him to not be the first prince of lust. in fact if you look at the architecture of the lust ring it could suggest as much since ozzies and surrounding clubs as far as can be told are in a more 70s-80s lounge type of style while asmodeus and fizz's place is much more modern looking, although that could just be marketing ofc.

    Actually, i wonder if Ozzie have a rivally with ruler of Envy becuase when Ozzie have a talk with Stolas, he mention that he didnt believe in love potion. So does that mean that there are demon who sell love potion on hell becuase out of all Sin in Hell, i not suprise that Envy sell one of those thing with how "Lust" want to enjoy what they love and "Envy" crave and want to be love

    perhaps in a future episode we will see how Ozzie, Fizz, and Mammon all met. It would be interesting to contrast Ozzie and Fizz meeting and relationship developing with how Stolas and Blitz’s has. We need more information on Ozzie and Fizz pasts to do that though.

    It would make sense that Sloth and Lust are the weakest of the sins, since they are both nonviolent sins.
    In the episode Ozzy even says that he doesn't do "love potions" because lust isn't about force, it's about seduction. From a meta sense, that could be just trying to make a consent comment, but it's not inconsistent with the other rings.
    At Beez' party, she is all about gluttonous behavior but only if you are really enjoying it. She dislikes that Blitzo is masking his pain by indulging, though she isn't going to make it worse by calling him out right away. Even when she snaps at Loona, she apologizes and ropes it in quickly.
    And Sloth is all about being lazy and doing drugs, but it also has the good medical clinics, rehab centers, etc.
    It seems like some of the sins are about indulging in the sin, but not getting lost in it. Even Ozzy and Fizz being more honest about their relationship shows this. Lust is about having a good time, but if you're not having a good time (either because you're denying the love part of your relationship, or because you don't want to do the lust part) then you're doing Lust wrong.

  • @mastertofu

    I think Asmodeus is the weakest sin purely by how impatient he is with contracts. Man was really about to give all of his assets because he wants it over and done with. The one that he actually agreed to, as read out and explained by Stolas, means he's sacrificed everything in the Greed ring, which is a pretty big deal but I guess Fizzarolli is worth that. I think he sits at the bottom of the sins, but is far more powerful than the Ars Goetia in terms of raw strength, less so than some with political power.

  • @yoanamariakrasteva3392

    There is also the possibility that Crimson views Asmodeus as "weak" due to the fact that the latter has feelings. We've seen from flashbacks the way Crimson has treated both his wife and child, he belittles Moxxie for his past relationship with Chaz and his current marriage with Millie, so it's safe to assume that for Crimson love is weakness.
    You can also say that this might not be the case, since at least two of the other Princes of Hell are in happy relationships- Lucifer being married to Lilith and Beelzebub being in a relationship with Vortex, however, unlike them, Asmodeus keeps his relationship a secret, and from Crimson's point of view this is nothing but a demonstration of the Prince of lust's inability to keep his life stable.

  • @BjornV1994
    @BjornV1994 Год назад +3

    Just a theory, but maybe the power of the sins (or at least how Crimson might see it, looking at how he conducts business himself), depends on how predatory the sin is. Lucifer is exempt from this rule as he is the one who structured Hell, nobody is going to question his authority anytime soon and the Pride Ring also not necessarily centered around Pride... But when we put Lucifer on the top, we can actually separate the remaining 6 sins in two groups. The sins that you can commit to yourself and don't require a second party and the sins that are almost exclusively require a second party, a victim party.
    In the first group, the sins against oneself are:
    - Gluttony;
    - Lust;
    - Sloth.
    All sins to affect others but in general terms don't require a second party. Gluttony is one's overconsumption of food and drink, you don't require others to keep your food or alcohol addiction going. You are doing it on yourself, to yourself. Similar with Lust, sex addiction doesn't require a second party, as perfectly illustrated with the focus on sex toys in the show. Asmodeus also makes it clear that Lust should be consensual, so for him, the perfect victim of his sin is someone who embraced their sexual vices. As for Sloth, they are literally too lazy to affect others. It is all about doing as little possible. Sure, others have to pick up the slack but in a way, sloth is literal inaction.
    In the second group, the sins against others are:
    - Envy;
    - Greed;
    - Wrath.
    These are the sins that have to be committed to others in order to be work (or at least strongly encourage it). Envy is being envious of others. You want something others posses or want them to not posses it. For Envy to work you require another and in extreme cases, you will act on this envy by harming said person. With Greed, it is technically not necessary to have others as you could simply hoard what you already have but as shown in the series, those in Greed live to exploit others. If you want more money, you have to take it from others by any means necessary. As for Wrath, on who are you going to unleash your rage than on others? Others will be most likely the victim of your anger, often in the form of physical violence.
    And as a Wrath Imp who have chosen Greed as his new sin, it isn't hard to see why at least for Crimson (but probably also others), the three who don't require a victim are already the weaker sins and the less exploitative the sin is, the lower the power level.
    So the Hierarchy based on exploitation is probably:
    - Pride
    - Wrath
    - Greed
    - Envy
    - Sloth
    - Gluttony
    - Lust
