He has all 7 sins?😮 this is strange.🤨
One head cannon I have is that Satan is Lucifer's Second-In-Command
I will just quote my great grandfather.
"money's like the drink, once a man has had a real taste of it, he just wants more untill he is a shadowed husk of the man he once was."
I’m really just hoping more care is being put into Hazbin Hotel. Because I love the idea of the world and the characters, and I don’t want it to have the same flaws as Helluva Boss.
7:52 those aren’t clown girls, those are more Fiz-bots
Honestly Mammon definitely seems and is the worst ruler in hell seeing how poorly he treats people and is purely greed obsessed.
He and Mr krabs will be good friends
I have a feeling that Leviathan of the Envy ring will be pretty bad too, but I'm mostly going off the fact the only Envy Ring demons we've seen with a speaking role (Glitz, Glam, and the racist mom in the hospital) have had terrible personalities.
@@Ledecral and that racism can be seemed in real life in basically any former British colony (usa because they segregated people until 1964, South Africa and apartheid until 1994)
@@Ledecral Yeah envy demons seem to think that they're above all the other species of demons in hell and talk down to them even if they try to have a normal conversation
@@HelluvaHazbinfan33 that is the reason why I call any demon from envy ring “disgusting fish”
I like to think that each sin embodied by the 7 princes is more business-related than their personality and trait. Sure, most of their visuals and surroundings will be related to their respective sins, but that doesn't mean that they will be only that sin. Asmodeus is a great example; he is the embodiment of lust, but he isn't horny or flirty all the time. It's fun to think that the princes have a little bit of each sin on them; they just embody their respective ones, since it's literally them.
Yeah Lust in it's self doesn't just mean sexual. It's lusting for something you really want. The same with Greed it doesn't has to be about money. Like all the sins it's probably how one deals with it.
Each of the sins is a different (though, not mutually exclusive) way of interacting with desire.
Gluttony is an unwillingness or inability to have enough,
Lust is the passion one can feel from wanting,
Greed is possessiveness: Desiring things for the sake of being able to claim ownership,
Wrath is the looming threat of retribution one gives off to protect what they have,
Envy is the resentment one can feel for someone who has what one desires,
Sloth is the craving for the satisfaction that comes after getting what one desires,
Pride is the idea that one deserves to get what they want.
@@Canido19 This is an interesting take on it.
@@southeastindependentsocial330 "um actually", its no take, its literally the sins definition... with fancy words
@@vuanhuc3582 With a bit stretching to make it all about possesions. Sloth is flat out not correct here as sloth is about not wanting to do anything, not anything to do with getting satisfaction from getting your rewards. Pride is thinking you are better than you are.
It's incredible that Viv has managed to create a baddie that so quickly eclipses so many of the other antagonists we've had so far in terms of how hateable they are 😅
Yes!
I feel like she really went for hateable with him, his episode already started hitting us with that "Women ain't funny" bullshit right away
Because she intended for him to be a villain, the others were just antagonists at worst.
You can really see what she might fall to, not greed, but lust, & gluttony (at least she might have in the past but doesn’t anymore).
@@cienciandreToo bad they didn’t bring an example of why that’s wrong in the episode, but I guess the characters in universe weren’t allowed to.
He's intimidating, he's certainly loathsome, and he's easily more vile and hateable than the other two Sins we've met so far, but I certainly wouldn't say he's the MOST loathsome antagonist in Helluva Boss thus far. The MOST hateable would have to go to the likes of Stella, or that Fizz-obsessed creep who appeared in the same episode as Mammon.
Greed doesn’t contain the other sins, it just profits off of them. Mammon surrounds himself with things he and others value to horde the wealth those things contain, so that he may sell and posses all the wealth he can.
Andddddd, that's why greed is the worse?
Yup. Like a sort of soulless personal black hole or void that sucks the fun out of everything near or around him.
Mammon keeps trying to go after that dopamine rush as much as possible.
@logandickerson5628 Perhaps, French Revolutionares are too "Prideful" for not obeying their noble? Greed means mental stimuli problem with unnecessity, Without pride, you will be swayed by everything. Too much, you'll become a stereotypical comic supervillian. Have it enough you could stand for yourself or fight against the Oppression, Just like "Pride" month. So greed is the worst.
@@GlitchBoy-ws5in I mean in the Bible itself, MONEY is written more times than any other Christian buzzword (mainly because whoever wrote it KNEW how bad money could corrupt and was warning everyone on the base uses), and states that the love of it is the root of all evil
Not to mention, out of the 10 commandments, 2 are don't steal, period, and dont steal someones stuff...or wife.
@IronycheinPain Bible allows Slavery, And Slavery is not just so.ekind of Viagra or Weed than only effects you in boths positive and negative, Slavery gains so much benefit for one by taking from the others and leave them with Disadvantages, Just imagine somekind of Idiom like "ทำนาบนหลังคน", Straight forward, you exploited and Reaped all their profit from them, Bibles allow it so I took it with a grant of salt.
Fun fact: based on his old white outfit in the flashback, Mammon may not actually be fat in the slightest as you can see his arms look incredibly skinny hinting that he might just wear so much baggy clothing that makes him look fat, this is also supported by the fact you can hear bags of gold shacking at times when he moves suggesting he carries bags of gold in his clothes
maybe at first, but you see him actually becoming bigger with fatter arms and less chingling sounds in the "present day" so maybe he actually became fatter and didnt feel the need to hide lucky sacks of money under his clothes anymore.
I think given that the sins shape shift it probably isn't really an outfit but more an extension of himself. I can totally see his body being able to hold bags of money though
takes a whole new meaning to deep pockets
This isn't a fun fact, it's a fun theory
@@dryocampa maybe for his current look but he does seem to be really skinny in the past
Makes sense. How much money someone has can be a point of Pride. Money can be used to sate your Lust, to feed your Gluttony, buy things that lets you be more Slothful, and to be the Envy of others. Wrath is kind of a stretch, but Greed can be fed by the anger of others. War can be pretty profitable.
Not can be. Is. XD
Maybe his "wrath" is instilling it into others
We saw his wrath when he had a total b*tch fit over his abuse victim abandoning him, to the point of blackmailing and threatening revenge. Wrath is the sin that is protective of his greed and pride, it prevents him from letting it go.
As Armstrong can assist to that last statement
The biggest thing that separates Mammon from the other sins is having a baseline of moderation. Bee believes indulgence is fine if done for the right reason. Ozzy believes lust should be consensual. Both provide for those in their ring and operate by the rules they set for themselves and others. Even in the sloth ring, there is an emphasis on resting and taking medication for the sake of recovery, not just to be lazy.
Mammon however seeks to draw out the greed in others, essentially ignoring the standard of moderation the other rulers have set thus far. He doesn't force people into doing what he wants, instead he plays into their desires. And this comes into full force with Fizz in this episode. Fizz wasn't forced to participate by Mammon; Fizz choose to participate because he tied his worth into his position with Mammon. Even when Blitz and Ozzy told him it wasn't worth it, that unintentional greed for approval, kept him going. It wasn't until he was convinced enough was enough that he was able to break free. And THAT is greed's weakness; moderation and knowing when to stop.
All these theories i've been reading in these comments are just so creative, and the idea that Mammon feeds on your desires and makes you greedy for more is just a cool and intimidating concept
The moment Fizz decided he had enough and told Mammon he was done, and that he quit, that he didn't need approval anymore, that's when Mammon got angry and tried to intervene
Idk that's really cool
I can tell you wrote the best essays in english class lol
That thing about moderation is a really good point!
I love how Mammon is so kid unfriendly while being kid friendly at the same time
I think Mammon has so many sin vibes, because he is designed to be a bad person (you know, that's why sins are sins, because they are bad).
He's the only one so far that actually represents his sin in a bad way.
@ghost4439 which is a shame, mammon seems to be the only true sin we seen so far that lives to his title, I hope lucifer is super evil if not then hell and heaven should be reverse because hell seems to be the all good XD
@@code122I mean we have like 3 sins so far. Plus even though lucifer is bad he still lives charlie
@@code122I hope not, It would be another "Lightness Good, Darkness Bad" Cliche like MCU depending status quo over again, She and Lucifer are both ENFP but they have saw different sides of things, Me Enfp would laugh at how Naïve she is on the subject of morality.
@@code122i think itd be a pretty cool twist if hell was a better place to be than heaven
Something else I noticed between every sin, is that each one has a level of change between their default and beast mode
Asmodeus, from hat I can tell has the "purest" change. His physical body becomes his flames. That's it. NOTHING else changes[outside of his voice but that's not really a physical change and they ALL have a vocal shift]. He is true to himself, honest about how he does things. He is, in my opinion, the Purest embodiment of his Sin
Bee has her entire body turn more feral, more demonic, and that mark on her forehead opens into a third eye. But the form is very clearly her, but more bestial. She is ALSO very true and honest with herself, so I see her as a perfect embodiment of her Sin
Then there's Mammon. Who literally has to form a cocoon around himself and literally erupt from it in the most twisted corrupted version of himself. His extra eyes stay open, the ears of his hat SHARPEN, he grows giant bladed spider limbs, a wormy parasitic body, and he gives off a gross green smoke. He is the most corrupted, the most TAINTED. He is the WORST of his sin in every way
Also, something else I've noticed that is very interesting, is that each Sin ONLY takes on their full on beast mode when they are full of rage, full of WRATH. Is this something that Lucifer did?
Moreso maybe a Satan thing. He's the Prince Of Wrath of this universe, while Lucifer is both the Prince Of Pride and the King Of Hell. If there was anyone responsible for the Princes having some sort of beast mode that's incited by anger, then it'd probably be Satan. As a side note, it's been speculated by Cartoon Universe that Satan might have a big and heavily built physique, so I could only imagine what his beast form must look like 😬.
These observations about the different sin characters is really cool, this is canon to me now tbh
Bee's third eye is what entomologists call an ocellus-a false eye used to scare off predators.
Honestly to me, most of the Sins have become more peaceful in the sense where the sins they embodied have just vanished almost completely. The Long peace has caused them to just see their sins as more of a Business then something of very day life, they have become more positive and just want to make their sins into a society where not just they benefit but others beneift as well.
Mammon on the other hand has somewhat become more emboding all the sins the other princes left behind and is now turning himself into what they found disgusting about themselves. Mammon is the greed of all rings personified and the other princes might just hate Mammon for being what he is, because in truth he is the only one who can be called a true prince of deadly sin.
Eh, I think we'll need to wait and see how Wrath works. Wrath is typically depicted as the most violent and aggressive of the Sins by it's very nature, as such it's unlikely that Satan would be especially peaceful.
Or envy
@@thefanwithoutaface8105 going off on the personalities of the imps in Wrath ring, I kinda imagine Satan to be pretty battle-thirsty and looks down on weak people or something like that
@@depressedrocksenjoyer9472 tbh at this point i'm half expecting satan to be kinda like khorne from 40k big, angry, and with a massive battle lust but overall probably the least likely to stab you in the back because he'd much rather stab you multiple times in the front
@@Sarindanvelor I figured he'd be a stereotypical army general with the voice of a drill sergeant and a far beefier physique than Asmodeus; the latter even Bee found attractive.
As they say “Money is the root of all evil”
@@Adam-326 there. You happy? 😒
It's actually, "The love of money is the root of all evil." That is Mammon in a nutshell.
It’s still true. Money 💰 causes nothing but trouble
Short turn gain is also one of the greediest things, wich he obviously loves. He destroys greed for short term profit, even though he would probably gain more he kept his ring healthy. You can even compare it to real world companies and people.
Hell is pretty much the U.S. taken to its logical conclusion. Even Blitzø stated that L.A. is similar to Hell.
8:32 I feel like the fact Mammon holds the pageant and challanges Fizz's position isn't much due to envy and is generally more of a manipulation tactic to never stop Fizz from trying to please him. Competition and preventing one from doing what they're good at is a common manipulation practice used to make people to give their best at all times. It is true though that it might have been easier to just have multiple icons at once though.
I think a lot of this also comes back to his spider like attributes, Mammon sets up a situation that causes others to get trapped without him having to do anything, like a spider waiting in a web. It’s possible he worked harder in the past to make the “web” but now he wants to do as little as possible and gain as much as he can get away with.
Greed is pretty much wanting everything that includes all other sins. Just money is a narrow view of greed
True, Greed can also relate to status, cars, jobs, families, and even food, and land und buildings, there is so many things in life, that can make you greedy 👀
Honestly makes sense that the sin of greed would be greedy enough to embody a little bit of everyone else's sins since greed in itself is the want of everything
I don't think Lucifer not doing anything to stop Mammon from ripping him off is an indication that they are antagonistic or hate each other. Given he's the sin of pride, Lucifer probably sees Mammon imitating him as a compliment, imitation is after all the best form of flattery.
It's also makes me wonder if Mammon refers to Fizzie as his ‘son’ (albeit in a very toxic and abusive way) because of Charlie and Lucifer? When he found out Lucifer had a daughter, he wanted someone in his likeness as well, mostly because Charlie also coincidentally looks like her dad.
Mammon's only interest is money,he copied lulu land due to how successful it was,he never wanted a son and he was just exploiting and manipulating fizz for money, well he is the embodiment of greed after all
@@Different_wilson You mean Lu Lu World? Loo Loo Land is Mammon's enterprise.
@@JamesDavy2009 yeah Lulu world sorry
It’s so interesting how he’s the embodiment of greed but also shows traits of the other sins
Also I feel FMA showed there are positive elements to Greed. Greed in FMA loved and coveted his companions and friends to where he was literally willing to fight and die for them and even sacrificed his own life to protect them. Greed at it's core means treasuring and loving the things you have to an extreme degree and that includes relationships, to where you'd literally do anything to protect them.
Personally I think that atleast two of the Sins will be revealed as truly Evil as Mammon himself if he tried anything would be effectively on his own in trying to screw over Fizz and Ozzie since they have not only Blitz who can call upon Stolas for help but also fi they need it Bee could help them out since Loona knows her personally now.
I think Leviathan will be the only other evil sin with maybe sloth (likely too lazy to be).
@@willofiron26 Plot twist: Belphegor may be a literal giant ground sloth with Baphomet doing all the administrative duties. I also think Belphegor's way of getting around is in a carriage being pulled by several candle-heads.
Well, he is greed. It fits that he wants all the sins.
I think the nature of Greed is that it'll emulate whichever traits are most immediately beneficial. Like how Mammon doesn't really do 'proper clown stuff' anymore because appealing blatantly to Hell's fetishes through Fizz proved more profitable.
When you put it like that Mammon has absolutely screwed himself over!
7:50 i still can not wrap my head around the fact that people don't seem to realize that those two sitting next to mammon are just customized fizarolli bots, not some unknown "sexy clown girls". yeah, he dressed them up to match his own costume, but those are very clearly the same fizzi bots he's selling to everyone else. i mean for pete's sake, we even saw that there are varients of the bot in mammon's commercial and yet people still don't seem to get it.
Mammon having aspects of every other Deadly Sin is a really great way to distinguish him as truly detestable since there was no redeeming qualities about him at all.😡 I wonder if Leviathan will be similar to Mammon, but actually be more calculated since he’d envy what all the other Sins have.🤔 I did find it hilarious that thanks to Mammon bringing up the blackmail right away and not really thinking it through, he quickly lost his only leverage.😂
Also, that Grimace picture really was accurate.😅
There is the other possibility of Leviathan doing the reverse. Making their ring so amazing, so good to live in, so upper crust and exclusive that the other rings would be filled with envy.
I believe Leviathan may have the personality of Veruca Salt.
Feel kind of like you are jumping the gun a little. We've only truly met Three of the Seven and while Greed is considered one of the more evil Sins, usually it's Envy, Wrath and Pride that are considered the most evil of the Seven.
Great video! I also think Mammon is the most deadly so far, but I'm waiting to see Satan!
Satan probably just screams and is just mad constantly.
@@hellfoxwolf14 Kind of like Anger from _Inside Out_ with a smattering of a Roman Emperor that loves watching the games at the Circus Maximus.
Theory: What if Mammon will team up with Crimson and Striker?
Mammon actually has power while those two clowns pretend to have power
I do agree with you that Mammon will have the upper hand for a while, but it'll be temporary. I'm sure IMP would think of something. After all, Mammon's not the sharpest tool in the shed. He comes up with stuff on the fly but doesn't plan well ahead.
I have an idea of why blitz was in prison when he met moxie because he murdered some demon. He mentioned when he was on the phone with moxie’s dad that he doesn’t kill native born demons ANYMORE meaning that he originally killed native born .
I hope Mammon becomes the main antagonist in Helluva Boss.
They made all the others so non-evil this guy had to take up their jobs. I respect him for pulling triple/quadruple duty.
This is why mammon is my favorite sin so far. He's a true demon lord and considering the environment he lives in he has the correct mentality towards things towards things.
he isn't exercising his sin in an efficient manner tho, because the very definition of greed is short-sighted. the other sins so far seem to have found a way to do their job in a rather non self-destructive way or even in a symbiotic way with the ones they are juicing their sin from. mammon is just gonna crash one day, because nothing he does is smart or works long-term. Its a good IRL commentary because a lot of corporates are like that.
Greed is such a multifaceted sin that to a degree it needs another strong trait to guide how it responds. I was kinda hoping to see this in the form of Mammon's relationships with the other sins. I guess we can still see that.
Here is an interesting question to chew on. Are the other rings so much better than greed inspite or because of how bad greed is? We know from our first trip to wrath that the rings do extensive trading with each other for their specialized goods. We also know that Mammon is making some crazy advanced stuff for dirt cheap, just look at the fizzy add near the start of the episode. Seriously the things are advanced AI capable of advanced thought, recognition, fully mobile and more and yet it is being sold for only $69.99. basically is Mammon's massive exploitation of his own ring allowing the other rings to get away with not doing the same?
Greed can influence these sins
Greed and lust: sex addiction
Greed and gluttony: over eating and constantly wanting more
Greed and sloth: being so rich and lazy that you don't need to lift a finger
Greed and pride: trying to be above everyone else by wanting to win for not just the satisfaction but also the money
that is not how greed works, greed is not willing to share, its mine and mine alone. what you mostly mention is gluttony; wich means never having enough, look at beezlebub and the hellhounds, canines never know when they have enough, they will always eat when their is food.
Back to mammon, where does his profit go? to frizzo? to the rest of the greed ring? no its his money and only spends the least amount to make more.
@sjoerdderks4731 ok but greed can extend both ways by having more of something and never feeling that's it enough.
Gluttony is just the overconsumption of things like drugs, alcohol, and especially food.
Greed isn't just about selfishness but also the feeling of wanting more.
@@djdraws4555 Just not right. Gluttony is often about food but is just overindulgence in anything including sex of drugs. Envy is not being satisfied with what you have. Greed is not wanting to give what you have.
@@imaloser5689 sir the word you are looking for is Lust. which means having a strong desire or sexual desire for something or someone. although you are right about Envy, i still stand by what i said greed isn't just having all to yourself but also hoarding that all to your self and constantly wanting more to put in the pile.
@@djdraws4555 Gluttony can be sexual and lust can be non-sexual. Lust is an overwhelming desire for something like sex or money. You can lust after something without indulging in it excessively gluttony is just excess of things to be point of waste. Greed does usually include wanting more but the important thing that makes it distinct is the holding on to it part.
If you lust for something you might be fine letting it go once you are done with it. You wouldn't if you are greedy for it.
Well he is greed... it makes sense he'd have a bit of all the sins instead of sticking to only one....
I like asmodeus because he told a bunch of people with no shame that he loves fizz ☺️☺️
I like the simple fact that, honestly, not everyone in hell is a full on bad guy. Just people who made mistakes and landed there.. sometimes of no fault of their own. Sure You could make every single being in hell a pure uncaring monster... but instead the population seems just as varied as the population of people actually on earth. The same goes for the people actually running the circles. I like how they express different aspects of each of their sins... but are also shown to be above them to degrees as well. I mean for as evil as Mammon was... he did try to buy Fizz time to recover instead of just YEETING him on stage and expecting perfection. Everyone has layer put into their personalities, making them all stand out and that's amazing. As far as Mammon however... in the past few episodes we have seen Blitzo's foes all kinda gathering up on their own. So I could totally see Mammon try to 'encourage' them all to ruin Fizz and Blitzo's days. I am honestly hoping this means getting to see more Ozzy and Stolas interactions. But I also cant help but worry about the safety for characters like Octavia. I can see lines are being drawn a bit in the sand.. and its gonna get explosive.
Mammon being the worst of the sins makes perfect sense thematically given the current political and economic climate.
Mammon has so much potential to be a huge villain really excited to see more
In practice he has:
1) Greed because he is always interested in money and how to get more and more of it;
2) Pride because he sees everyone as money machines that he can use by trampling on their rights;
3) Wrath because when he doesn't get what he wants he is ready to ruin the life of his fellow man at the cost of his own stuff (like money to chase Fizz perhaps);
4) Gluttony because he has no problem with excessive binging;
5) Lust because it sees the sexual need in its franchises even where there would be no need;
6) Envy because he is more or less a freeboter;
7) Sloth because he doesn't actually do much to earn money but he lets everyone around him do it.
I'm excited for more Mammon content in the future, he seems like an awesome villain
*Thanks for the new Helluva Boss video, Imp Cut from **#CartoonUniverse**!* ;D *Huh.Now you mention it, Greed is definitely a deadly sin cocktail with a lot of negative attributes with zero redeemable attributes: unrepetant dominant pride, unbridled envy, the unhealthy side of gluttony , and high dosafe of wrath and apathy to boot for examples!* 🤔 😮 *I'm glad Queen Bee-zleBub/Queen Bee from Gluttony and Asmodeus from Lust are the more virtuous/venial Demon Royals of Hell while others should be aware of the deadier Demon Royals of sin such as Lucifer Morningstar/The Devil (Pride) ,and of course, Mammon (Greed) for examples! *That just leaves only Satan (Wrath) , Leviathan (Envy) and Belphagor (Sloth) left to be unveiled in future episodes and seasons of Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel!* 😉🤗
I want a monster fight, I don't even care which sins end up fighting, I just want it
I think he was angry that fizz quit, because glitz and glam will be harder to control and he was. Their motivation is to get as much fame and money as possible. Where as fizz worked for him because he looked up to him as an idol. The twins aren’t going to do that. At the end of the day fizz will make him more money than they ever will.
Bro I love these theories so much, always a joy to see you post!
I find that very ironic
Cause personally think that's real life problems
VERY deadly sin. =(
Who would think that greed is not just an addiction to money, but one to other bad things?
1:45 I bet you that mammon bribed the court.
5:25 I also just realized how cool it would be if Mammon sent somebody like Striker, or a new character, after Ozzie. Like imagine some big sin getting so mad at another sin they sent an assassin. It would probably be Striker though, considering Striker is still alive.
One thing you forgot to bring up regarding Mammon and Sloth, Mammon does not even bother to walk anymore. Maybe just waddles a few steps, but always relies on teleporting to places (seemingly at the cost of money?), even if just a few feet away.
This is why the Seven Deadly Sins are so deadly.
They are a part of our lives in one way or another. You need them, but they can take over your life to the point of destruction.
I love how in Lucifer's art he has a staff with an apple on it as a nod to the apple from apple and eav
Just out of curiosity, is that graphic shown at the very start of the video that depicts the seven rings of Hell an official one by the Helluva Boss crew? Or is it fanmade?
its actually made by me (Deepcut) the host of CU. I plan to make one for species soon too.
that is the nature of greed
Anyone who has really listened to the song "Biggering" would probably disagree that greed is the most destructive. While greed and any of the sins are pretty bad, it's pride that keeps it all going. Pride is the sin that everyone suffers from and it is what prevents people from stopping their bad behavior.
Was that the cut song from the lorax?
@@mrbeastfan8079 Yep
I think mammon will return in the episode Mastermind where his second appearance makes the final “mastermindful” monster in the entire franchise.
Awesome video
:D
Green is in the middle of the rings could mammon showing off all seven deadly sins make his ring collapse into the others? Making it like a territory issue like if Greed and Lust collapsed into each other Mammon and Asmodeus would fight over who's land it is
Hey since we know it was 15 years ago Fizz got in his accident but only been 10 years since he's been top clown for mammon. Did it take 5 years for fizz to recover which he learned sign language (horns seem to scoffed hearing like the little boy had broken horns too) and his vocals cords seemed to have gotten damaged too since as a teen his voice changed when he entered puberty but after the accident it seemed to get scratchy.
I’m sure that Asmodeus and the other Sins are all fallen angels who are millennia old. As for why Loo Loo Land didn’t get shut down, I’m feeling that as Mammon’s domain is Greed and Lucifer’s domain is Pride, Lucifer knew that Mammon would cut corners to maximize profit and minimize cost, ultimately creating an knockoff that’s inferior in quality. As Lucifer has the better park, he doesn’t care that his fellow Sin is plagiarizing him, as for him, it’s more about the status and prestige than the profit.
Mammon is the Toxicity of Sin, it seems.
You makes some seriously good points here, but there's one point about Wrath as a deadly sin that Mammon definitely "almost" fell prey to . . . and that's the fact that as a "Deadly Sin" is called that because it when taken to the fullest it leads to one's own "self destruction" . . . in this case becoming so enraged that you foolishly rush right into your own execution . . . and if Blitz had held onto that celestial carbine rifle that Moxxie got from Striker in their first encounter, and had it with him at the contest . . . from where he was positioned in the rafters to watch Fizz's back, he could've easily nailed Mammon right between his 8 extra eyes and blown his brains out in front of everybody permanently! Paying him back for all the years of abuse he put Fizz through and kicking his own rep to the peak as the first imp to cack a Deadly Sin, and in the service of another at that.
so yeah, Mammon is a bloated sack of sin who doesn't even know how close he could've come to falling prey to his own self-destructiveness.
Mammo so greedy he’s even taking all the Sins for himself.
I like how Mammon holds all the sins because he's the physical embodiment of all of the evils of Capitalism and drives home how many ways the evil of the system can rear it's ugly head.
Love your videos man
I wonder what would happen if a Prince was to lose their position or die.
In Dante’s Inferno, the Greed Ring has two types of sinners, those that horde their money and those that waste their money.
4:31 i think it was both, while mammons ego was hurt by fizzarolis song, but he didn't act until fizzaroli quit which would hurt his profits aswell
I thought those robots fanning and feeding him were actual fizzbots? like his personal fizzbots, kinda makes him even creepier and his statement of wanting to pander his bots out so people find Fizz sexually attractive creepier like the stereotypical boss that has some weird unwanted attraction for you at a job your working at hence one of the many reasons why Fizz looks so uncomfortable near him even though thats his supposed childhood hero. it kind of gives the usual well known take of "dont meet your heros you never know who they really are" vibes
Nice theory!!😁
Lol Mammon's so greedy he has to hoard the other sins too.
You bring up a good point, if Ozzy stops designing the Fizzies and other toys for Mammon, it should definitely negatively impact his cash flow, perhaps an unexpected angle Mamm didn’t think of
And seeing as the other Sins we’ve met have been largely decent people, it’s nice to see a Sin being unabashedly and stereotypically ‘evil’…
I'm really excited to see what they do with Mammon next, he has so much potential
7:54 these are also love bots, & uh yeah I think that’s a nod to child grooming lmao.
Not just into creepy situations, but also into his brand.
Mammon is so greedy he took the sins from the other ones
I kind of dislike how Mammon is the only one to actually represent their sin the rest are watered down frauds asmodeus's most lustful action is selling sex toys also lust inherently should not be able to form a relationship
He has all seven infinity sins. I can’t wait for the finally when Mammon says “I am inevitable.” But then Blitz now with all seven infinity sins says “And I am one Helluva Boss.” And then snaps his fingers.
I think that with Greed comes a sense of possession, Fizz terminating his contract is intolerable because for Mammon, Fizz "belongs" to him. I think this sens of possession is also what affects Mammon a lot and maybe why he is going a bit to for in the other Sins direction ^^
It does seem that the Seven Princes hold more of an Olympian influence over their respective sins:
They aren't that thing all the time, but they embody and hold sway over those sins.
Aphrodite was the Goddess of Love, Beauty, and Sexuality, but she was often not the most loving in other aspects, often being flighty, spiteful, and envious, just like how Beelze, while being Gluttony incarnate, isn't every form of Gluttony, never trying to take more than her needs in her relationships.
I like the idea that Mammon is so greedy that he wants everything, including the titles of the other sins. Greed in viv's eyes might be the desire to have everything they can
Also mammon will almost always teleport instead of walking around
man i love how much i fucking hate mammon, i hope by the end of the series hes thrown out of any sense of power and everything comes crumbling around him, i think it would be a pretty great finale
He is so greedy that he even wants to embody the other sins
It fits with what he actually represents though. Mammon is so GREEDY, he's not even satisfied by just being greed, he wants all the sins
I'd consider the overall issue a lack of character development. An overall theme in this series seems to be that just as the in-setting Heaven so far appears to work off the principle of "this is a complete and comprehensive list of how to never make mistakes; as long as we exclude anybody who ever makes a mistake Heaven will stay perfect forever", Hell seems to work off of "nobody will stop you from making mistakes, but you'll never be able to escape their consequences forever". The interesting thing about this is that the setting as a whole also seems to follow the maxim of "Success is a poor teacher."
Low-level angels have never made a mistake - or they'd no longer be angels. As a result, they have absolutely no idea how to learn from mistakes or clean up their messes. Damned souls... are unpredictable. Most of the older demons, by contrast, seem to have had damage control and "triage thinking" hammered into them by unpleasant experience to the level of instinct. You repeatedly see a demon's instant reaction to an unexpected disaster being to scan for damages, separate out the categories of "doesn't need fixing this instant" and "is now unfixable", and all this happens before deciding whether what the demon wants to be their emotional reaction is affordable right now.
Mammon... doesn't seem that good at the concept of valuation; while this is obviously relatable to greed as a concept, it's also clear that it isn't working all that well as a method for maximixing material gains. It is very hard to become the kind of person who everybody is fine with basically owning everything, and it's possibly harder than to work through greed than the basic concepts of the other sins to the "marginally safe and sane and very slowly becoming more so" that we've seen some other Sins display, but it's also possible Mammon isn't perceiving failure or is a relatively slow learner. We'll see how the series develops.
i guess mammon is so greedy he wants everything the other 6 sins have idk if that makes sense
I hope for both. Mammon and ozzie giant kaiju battle, wreck the greed ring and mammon looses everything when he realizes he smashed up the greed ring with a satisfying "oh crap" moment.
Ah yes Mammon the big fat green Christmas tree lol
6:53 he go greedy with them shakes that’s for sure.
He’s so greedy, he stole the other 6 sins
Mammon’s face looks like the angels in the hazbin trailer
He does look similar to Adam.
Given what I've seen so far, Mammon is the sin that has the weakest bond with the rest, outside of business contracts. With that in mind, I could see him overreaching in any attempt to take revenge on Asmodeus, collapsing the limited stability of his ring, and being attacked on all sides by the other six sins. This seems especially likely, given how it looks like Asmodeus could be the more socially active sin and has more than enough charisma to get at least Bealzabulb on his side; who is yet another social butterfly that already has confirmed connections with two other sins (Belfagor and Satan). Granted, they may not be the best connections, but it should be enough to get Asmodeus's or Bealzabulb's foot in the door.
Mammon probably has aspects of all the sins because he is a genuinely bad person.
Another Deadly Princes I expect to be like him is Leviathan. Envy is a very ugly thing and can make people angry, prideful, and greedy.
Wrath is extreme anger and can be controlled, so I hope they give Satan more nuance than he’s just a super angry dude.
Belphegor would be too lazy to bother being sinful beyond sloth.
As for Lucifer, I guess he shows some greed as he confines all the sinners to the Pride ring to keep all old God’s creations to himself, which may hint at envy.
yea i'd love an epic demon monster fight! but more likely it will be smaller political/image/finacial fights. hope we do get a demon smack down episode at some point.
I’m still betting on Satan being the big bad as he is the prince of Wrath, and you know… Satan.
great video!
agreed.
A reminder that when the Sins are listed in rank (according to their Biblical lore. Idk if Viv has them set up where their rank match the levels they rule or not), Greed is listed right after Pride. Pride leads to all the others, and Greed leads to those that follow it. So this makes sense.
I've thought for a while that Asmodeus, Beelzebub and Belphegor are more benign and hedonistic, more concerned with spreading enjoyment through their sin. In contrast Mammon is more antagonistic, prioritising personal profit over almost everything. The way he has traits of multiple Sins shows how they do overlap to an extent, and you can be guilty of several at once.
I wonder what the remaining Sins will be like and what their relationship dynamics are.
He’s so greedy, he took all the sins for himself
Mammon is a
