Hi Alice, question - can a woman give normal birth to 2nd baby after C section which was done for the 1st baby ?

In most cases, yes. It is important to find a doctor that will support this plan and a hospital that is supportive as well.

Love and appreciate all your work you share with us! Would you say there is a sign in which you should probably head to the hospital ? I’m 20 min away from my delivery sight so I plan to try and labor for as long as I can at home , I would have loved a home birth but maybe in another lifetime I’ll be able to afford it .

Thank you for the sweet words and your support of the channel! For first timers who wanted to avoid intervention, I usually recommend waiting until contractions are around 3-4 minutes apart, each contraction is over one minute in length and that pattern has been going on for one hour. If water breaks or your feel rectal pressure then head in sooner. For people who have already given birth before, I would say if at anytime you feel rectal pressure to head in. Also, once contractions get regular and have some intensity then head in. Things can speed up quickly for second timers. Let me know if that helps!
