  • Looking for the best sugar cane press on Amazon?
    We ordered this off Amazon and it seems to be a great buy so far. Adding the engine made it 100% worth it!
    Buy it: amzn.to/3i0wSGA
    This thing is a beast, you certainly don't want to put anything through it that you don't want absolutely flattened. And don't operate it like I am with the gear cover off! As you can see in the video it makes short work of split cane and is the best way for a small operation or homestead to juice sugar cane.

Also, used some food-grade silicone to seal it. And I removed the round plate on the third top roller and did the same.

    Wanna bet that if you had an aide you could run this on a modified pedal bicycle? You look fit enough, and the aide just has to pick up stalks and feed them in (which you could also do with a hopper, or with clever positioning you could even just do it yourself).
    If you have oilseed crops like olives or such, see about getting a 2kW Diesel motor and rigging it up.

    It is the cheapest but the problem is on both sides of the rollers it rusts and that rust gets in the juice. The frame is also made out of recycled iron. Cheap ? Yes! Healthy and safe? No. Uploader please show a video of how the inside looks now. Do the needful please. Thank you

      David,ive had same machine since Jan.2020,zero rust on the rollers,i use a spray bottle with plain water to wash it off properly after juicing,its the same manual machine that some places sell with a motor already attached to it and they put metal sheets around it,encasing it, with their pretty stickers on the outside and the on/off switch,you dont have to put another machine down,to sell yours,there's room for everyone,some people spend what they can afford to spend 🤷🏻‍♂️ if the sugar cane is thick,split it,one pass thru,it gets all the juice out,can always fold the sugarcane and pass it thru again,for a little extra juice

    • @DeHavenRanch
      @DeHavenRanch  9 месяцев назад +3

      The rollers look brand new and it’s been stored outside in Florida. The juice doesn’t touch the frame it goes straight into the stainless steel drip pan and down the hose. I looked at yours, but for a hobby farm that doesn’t juice much cane it doesn’t make sense to pay that kind of money for something we rarely use.

    Sugarcane juice is so underrated. Its understandable though, sugarcane has a really short shelf life.
    It starts fermenting pretty quickly after it’s cut.
    Also! Run the cane 2 or three times through the machine and fold it while doing so. You gotta get out all of the juices!

    • @DeHavenRanch
      @DeHavenRanch  2 года назад

      That’s it does. Has me thinking about getting some sort of copper device to do something with it.
      When we are going for maximum production we will run it twice, we figured we get about 15% more juice on the second run.
