TROW OUT THAT JUICER! It has a cheap Galvanized Chinese coating on the wheels. This will come off right into your juice. Get a 3 or 4 roller made of stainless steel! But throw this one away!

Grew up in Louisiana, sugar cane is all over there. My Grandfather used to grow it in his garden and he'd press out the cane stalks and cook it into cane syrup.
We did the same as kids and never had cavities until we started eating white sugar and candy. We almost had no sugar while growing up. We lived in the country and sugar was only used in baking, coffee and tea.
@@Moonsprouts We did that too. The dentist couldn't figure out why our teeth were so white. Now I have to buy some sugarcane and get brushing 😁. I really do miss life in the country. 🙁
Same in Jamaica. Lool I laughed when he was peeling the cane with that lil device 😂. I can imagine Jamaican men would cry laughing at it. They hack at sugarcanes with their big cutlasses. As kids we use our teeth to peel too. Memories 🇯🇲 🌴 ☀️

For those of us that has cane growing thick and tall in container, that peeler should handle skins! I'm going to run a few chunks thru juicer and freeze in ice cube trays.

Easier to squeeze by hand than expected and nice that it has a belt wheel. Will have to think of how to salvage a motor from something and regulate the speed.

I have the same press! When I press sorghum, I connect a hose to the juice catcher and let it drain into the jars freely:) it might save you from spills when transferring into mason jars. Great vid!
I like your code words label on the machine. You could put that on a rolling cart with a rectangle cut out of the middle and then place a 5 gallon bucket under it so you can collect more without stopping to empty the tray.

I am wanting to grow sugar can as soon as I can finish my greenhouse (To cold here for it to survive the winter here without some extra protection). That juicer is way out of my budget though, but I have looked into boiling the cane to get the sugar out of it, I can afford that LOL.
I wonder if you can use it (the pulp) for worm feed or dehydrate it and use it like coco coir?You have to be able to use the remains for compost or something good like that?

😮You killing me Lead Farmer 73 😩😩😩 I NEED THOSE LEAVES. Hellllpppp. Oh, please be careful with your eyes when peeling sugar cane. Them little splinters can do some serious damage to your eyes. Wear glasses. 👍 and, to make it easier for you, adapt a motor to the machine and that thing will get you twice as much juice.
