Hey @OzTalksHW, I just wanted to say thank you!! I came across your RUclips channel almost a year ago and it’s been nothing but Great and very informative!! Hope you are doing well Brotha!!
I grabbed a intel i3 10100 for $27 bucks at a local flea market. Bought a $49 motherboard online and some memory for 29.99, threw it in a cheap zalman t6 case for next to nothing on ebay, picked up a 500GB ssd for 30 bucks and threw in a 5600xt that I picked up used for $75. For around 270 I had a decent little build for the kids to bang around on so they can leave mine THE HELL alone.
Similar atm I'm using the 2600X swapped out the 1070 in it for a RX 6750XT two months ago now I just need a RAM upgrade + CPU & Storage upgrade. A lot of people slept on 2nd gen Ryzen but that whole lineup is very good, might go for the 5600X or one of the 3d cache ones during a big sale.
@@Warbob11 save up for the 3d cache one. they are soo competitive right now its insane how good they are compared to the new ryzen chips in gaming for the price

I'm still on a Ryzen 7 1800x and GTX 1660. I mainly play older games but my PC still runs fairly well on newer games with lowered graphics settings and FSR. Definitely looking to upgrade when GTA VI is released on PC but until then I am getting a lot of value by sticking with this build in the mean time. The $300 build is definitely a great bang for the buck for people who need something cheap. I would recommend to anyone wanting to build a PC soon but are not in a rush to save as much as possible and go for a strong build that can last 6+ years of modest gaming since it is realistically the cheapest overall in the long run, especially if there are newer games that you haven't been able to play yet and require some solid hardware to run properly.
The 3600 is still a strong bang for the buck and can drive up to a 6750 XT in 1440p with games that are more heavy on the graphic card. Also AM4 is the most versatile platform IMO.
@@AbdullahAbrar-sc1pw The 5600 isn't so much of an upgarde to 3600. Better go to the 5700X or ultimativly to the 5800X3D. I personally run the 5800X3D with a B550 MB and a 6750XT with 16GB RAM and I am very happy with this setup. But it depends on your Budget.

I love your builds, they convinced me to build my own AM4 PC back around 4-5 years ago. It's nice to see the platform is still solid. I'd love to see your recommendations for 'budget upgrading' these builds, or similar AMD ones you've done in the past - where you'd throw your money for most bang in upgrades: ram, cpu, gpu, storage, what to look for, what you don't think is a deal breaker. Thanks for the video!
I had my pc built 5 years ago in October... And you helped me with your videos!! Still 5 years later it's going strong and I'll still watch these videos because they're so relaxing and interesting to see what you are building these days. Thank you for all your videos man.
It’s amazing what a powerful pc you can get for ~$300USD (or equivalent currency value) compared to the pre-Covid era 🤩🤯🥳💪. Great video once again Oz 🥰👍
I know this was specifically geared toward a NEW build, and I love what you're able to squeeze out of a budget, but in this price point the used market should be in play in a real world scenario. Get your budget, design your system, then check your local market to see what upgrades you can find for the same price as the new parts you're looking at. Oz has some GREAT videos on the topic!

I overclocked my rx 570 4gb an di got it to run at 1400 clock speed. if you do this with a card like 60$ more you can get it to about 2200-2400. its a real easy skill to learn for the performance boost. you should start including some OC in your budget videos
Came here to say this. I have the steam deck lcd. Runs hogwarts legacy docked on my OLED 4k TV anywhere from 30 to 60 fps but it doesn't have the shaders my zephrus G14 has. The steam deck is perfect for me traveling or docked playing games anywhere from a couple years old to retro emulation.
It’s important to note that this particular motherboard lacks a dedicated flash BIOS button. If you plan to use a CPU beyond the Ryzen 3rd generation, ensure you have a lower-tier CPU available. This step is crucial for executing the necessary update to install and run a 5th generation CPU.
Hey, I am currently building the 600 here, and ran into a question... Where do I plug in the argb controller into the motherboard for the case fans? Thank you for this, I've been wanting a upgradable decent computer and this is right up my alley.
This same PC costs like double here. I know cause I built it, pretty much. 5600 is $200 here, 6600 is what I bought but it went for $550 when I bought it (scalopocalypse peak). Spent like $120 on the PSU because I had issues with crap PSUs before, spent $70 on the case and $40 on the cooler (I already had storage so I carried it over from my previous PC). You basically built a better PC then mine for a fraction of the money I spent for it :/. Import tax is nuts where I am.
Or do a full aliexpress build, I built a Pc with Rx 580, Xeon cpu 8 core 16 thread motherboard combo, ddr3 ram 16gb, mag psu 550w, green cable extensions, looks lovely, waited for sales £236.
I'd recommend a SOYO B550m over the Gigabyte B450. It is the same price (or less) on Aliexpress, & I have loved mine. For a $300 build - Aliexpress has a A320mb/Ryzen 5 2600/16gb Kllsre ram for $102.

When you get down in the super cheap builds... brand new is expensive for what you get. Obviously your GPU choices were used. I wonder about just getting a used/refurbished Dell workstation and adding a GPU. Though those do typically have older midrange CPUs. Or what about those cheap Xeon/X99 motherboard/Ram combos on AliExpress?

Hi All, I'm hoping you can help point me in the right direction. I bought a Aspire A715-42G a couple years ago for the purpose of playing Half Life Alyx in VR. It kind of does the job, but I am not happy with it. I think I need a Desktop gaming PC. I don't need top of the line, but would like something that can flawlessly run games like Half Life Alyx or Cyberpunk 2077, and would like to spend no more than $1,200 USD. Is this possible?
Little question, when trying to add TALK15 promo code with the aliexpress new AMD Ryzen 5 5600 (same background picture) it says it can't be added as "This coupon code can't be used in combination with other discounts".
Is thermaltake a good psu manufacturer? Because I've recently built a PC with the 3600, gtx 1650 with no alimentation, 2 SA400 480 SSD and the Gigabyte P450B psu started to smell strange. Is there any chance with this psu to have the exactly bad luck?
Newbie question. When I use the link for the graphics card - some say Dell, ASUS, ect. Does it matter if it has a PC brand included in the description or are they all universal? Thanks for the awesome video. Also, I see the RTX 4060 is about the same price. Is there any reason I can’t get that instead?

Hi All, I'm hoping you can help point me in the right direction. I bought a Aspire A715-42G a couple years ago for the purpose of playing Half Life Alyx in VR. It kind of does the job, but I am not happy with it. I think I need a Desktop gaming PC. I don't need top of the line, but would like something that can flawlessly run games like Half Life Alyx or Cyberpunk 2077, and would like to spend no more than $1,200 USD. Is this possible?
*For $300 best to buy used, some absolute deals out there sometimes*

Is thermaltake a good psu manufacturer? Because I've recently built a PC with the 3600, gtx 1650 with no alimentation, 2 SA400 480 SSD and the Gigabyte P450B psu started to smell strange. Is there any chance with this psu to have the exactly bad luck?

I might just make this pc. I'm pretty sure it can play Spelunky and most of Steam library. Fantastic channel and demos. Wow! Vote blue.
