    I grabbed a intel i3 10100 for $27 bucks at a local flea market. Bought a $49 motherboard online and some memory for 29.99, threw it in a cheap zalman t6 case for next to nothing on ebay, picked up a 500GB ssd for 30 bucks and threw in a 5600xt that I picked up used for $75. For around 270 I had a decent little build for the kids to bang around on so they can leave mine THE HELL alone.

    I'm still on a Ryzen 7 1800x and GTX 1660. I mainly play older games but my PC still runs fairly well on newer games with lowered graphics settings and FSR. Definitely looking to upgrade when GTA VI is released on PC but until then I am getting a lot of value by sticking with this build in the mean time. The $300 build is definitely a great bang for the buck for people who need something cheap. I would recommend to anyone wanting to build a PC soon but are not in a rush to save as much as possible and go for a strong build that can last 6+ years of modest gaming since it is realistically the cheapest overall in the long run, especially if there are newer games that you haven't been able to play yet and require some solid hardware to run properly.

  • @Whit3_279
    @Whit3_279 4 месяца назад +28

    The 3600 is still a strong bang for the buck and can drive up to a 6750 XT in 1440p with games that are more heavy on the graphic card. Also AM4 is the most versatile platform IMO.

I'd love to see your recommendations for 'budget upgrading' these builds, or similar AMD ones you've done in the past - where you'd throw your money for most bang in upgrades: ram, cpu, gpu, storage, what to look for, what you don't think is a deal breaker. Spent like $120 on the PSU because I had issues with crap PSUs before, spent $70 on the case and $40 on the cooler (I already had storage so I carried it over from my previous PC).

    Hi, I really like your videos. A little question... are you not tired of holding the microphone in your hand? I don't see (or rather hear...) a difference in the sound quality from your old videos. In any case, it's always fun to hear and see you

    When you get down in the super cheap builds... brand new is expensive for what you get. Obviously your GPU choices were used. I wonder about just getting a used/refurbished Dell workstation and adding a GPU. Though those do typically have older midrange CPUs. Or what about those cheap Xeon/X99 motherboard/Ram combos on AliExpress?

    The Ryzen 5 2600 never dies. The only budget Ryzen cpu that is the minimum requirement to run Win 11 plus 32gb of ram since Win 11 is a resource-hungry OS🤔😉

    seriously recommend a 650w PSU for the $600 build.
    550w is really pushing it and those gpu has transient spikes that may shut down the system at best, and damage parts at worst

      Don't run FurMark and your transient spikes will be much smaller.

    Just one question in regards to the RX 580 that you mentioned. Is it truly a RX 580 or the 2048 version? Because they are not the same.

    Hi All, I'm hoping you can help point me in the right direction. I bought a Aspire A715-42G a couple years ago for the purpose of playing Half Life Alyx in VR. It kind of does the job, but I am not happy with it. I think I need a Desktop gaming PC. I don't need top of the line, but would like something that can flawlessly run games like Half Life Alyx or Cyberpunk 2077, and would like to spend no more than $1,200 USD. Is this possible?

    Is thermaltake a good psu manufacturer? Because I've recently built a PC with the 3600, gtx 1650 with no alimentation, 2 SA400 480 SSD and the Gigabyte P450B psu started to smell strange. Is there any chance with this psu to have the exactly bad luck?

    Newbie question. When I use the link for the graphics card - some say Dell, ASUS, ect. Does it matter if it has a PC brand included in the description or are they all universal? Thanks for the awesome video.
    Also, I see the RTX 4060 is about the same price. Is there any reason I can’t get that instead?
