If it keeps frying despite being adequately ventilated, why not fit a Nippon Denso one on there. Something from Yamaha or Suzuki. I hear the ones on the SV650 last for a really long time. I think better quality ones have better internal insulation material that doesn't break down from heat.
Hi James, how do I get in touch with you and may purchase the Interceptor soon, need to buy the extension cable with the pins. Plan to relocate the rectifier even for I start riding. I had s problem with my old Vulcan 750 before. Got me stuck in the middle of nowhere 😂
You mean the RR unit? I suspect that even a mosfet RR would be unhappy in the OEM location….. the mosfet RR’s I’ve seen all have thicker gauge wire which means OEM block connectors can’t be used without cutting the wiring harness in order to use different blocks.

@@internetpolification Well both the twins - Interceptor and the GT have had their share of tank slappers in the past - particularly the 2019-2020 models with the Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp (Brazil made) stock tires. Many users have tried wheel truing, retightening steering head bearings, adjusting tire pressure, changing tires, etc. - but the general consensus is that the tires were the culprit, some manufacturing defect. Regardless, the 24 degree rake on the Interceptor is on the sportier side (towards sharper handling), so I was thinking along the lines of a damper. Wouldn't hurt to have a helping hand at 140+ kmph.
I suppose it depends on the road surface too? I regularly ride at 80mph here in the U.K. but have never had any tank-slapping or need for a damper, I must say.
@@internetpolification Right, I haven't faced front wobble as well. Running Ceat at the front, Pirelli at the rear. Sudden road surface bumps + high speed + some steering input make it likely I guess. I haven't been that adventurous, speed up on smooth tarmac, exercise care on bumpy roads.

They fry due to the OEM location. No reports of burnout on re-located OEM RR units so far.

Change the stator to a MOSFET.
