Thanks for the informative vid. Will be using a Defender for the 1st time this winter on my long asphalt driveway with the house at the top of a hill in rural northern WI. I thought about a poly blade edge but (just guessing) think it would ride up over the snowfalls that start warm then go below zero, freezing the mess that fell first. Also, have you used chains and, if so, what type. Thanks!
Have you had a chance to inspect the belt after plowing with it for a season? I'm thinking of the same machine, except with a 6ft BOSS v-blade to use commercially clearing very small apartment building parking lots, small gas stations, and places that pickup trucks are too big for. I think this machine would be perfect but have heard of belts having issues and interested to see how yours is standing up to plowing.
I have not checked the belt since purchasing, have close to 300 miles on it right now 80% of that is plowing. Can say it feels completely fine nothing giving me a feeling of belt wear.
I know it's a long time since this video came out, i'm just woundering do you also have for problem/condensation on the windos soo you cant see enything from the inside.
I’ll say that’s the defrost works good, however I have had a couple times that condensation has built up but it was because I was outside shoveling areas prior and my cloths were damp, I was hot and breathing heavily so it was a perfect storm to create that problem
Are those the factory Trac Force tires? How is the snow traction? Looking for something with good snow traction & tougher sidewalls then the bighorn 2.0 we currently have.
How long from order date to delivery date? I ordered mine last Sept/Oct, supposed to be here any day now, but called the dealer and he said paperwork from Can Am shows possibly July to August. At that point I may as well order a 2024 and see what has been added, if anything. My luck, I would take delivery in July and the next day, huge announcement, the 2024 model comes with front locker, 37's and a turbo 4 cylinder. That color is growing on me.
Sorry to hear that you have had these issues . I did not order mine , my local dealer and I had been in communication last year and I was on top of the list if anyone had backed out of an allocation. I was just lucky enough that this one was not spoken for and was able to purchase once it came in. This was the color I would have built, it’s epic in person!
I’m at the same spot as I havnt ordered one but have a dealer with one in stock for msrp. I kinda wanna wait until august 4th or whatever when they announce then new ones. I think the 2024 will have a big digital gauge like the ride command in polaris. A buddy works for BRP snowmobile dept though and he said he heard the new gauge the sleds come with there is a version that is gonna be in new top end canam sxs’s. I live the defender but the Polaris ride command is worth every penny. Not having a screen or anything seems cheap when your spending 30k On a sxs…
Nice video! A lot of wet, heavy snow to get moved. Glad to see the Defender doing a nice job moving it for you.

Hope you enjoy your defender this weekend ! I have not used chains , I am still on the stock tires and they have been doing good for my environment.
Thanks!@@GoodysGarage

Which plow is this? The pro mount poly? Im debating between that and the super duty
This one is the pro mount steel
Hows the maintenance on those can-ams? Expensive? Easy to work on yourself? Finding parts? thanks
Have yet to need to do any real maintenance on this unit. sorry wish i had more info!
I have had my unit for 3 years……maintenance is pretty straight forward.
Do you have video showing how you wired the plow and switch? I have joystick for Denali plow and wondered best way to connect it
I don’t have a video on that, these can am machines come with the winch already installed from the factory

@@GoodysGarage okay, thank you.
Do you have a lot of land or is that like a long driveway or road?
This is a private road that leads to my land, we have several neighbors that live on this road.

How fast do you plow
I dont have a set speed that I go, I really just feel out the machine with the amount of snow and base it off feel.
