Regarding one of the Churchill doubles, the actor and singer Tommy Steele (Half-a-Sixpence film, etc) writes that his grandfather was sometimes called upon to play the part during the war.

    Lovely, lovely man.
RIP Robert Hardy. A very fine actor and one of the best Churchills of all time. Probably third now, behind Gary Oldman in 2nd after his turn a few years ago, and Albert Finney way out ahead in the top spot.

Mattbod... While I understand how you could be annoyed, I would like to hear your pronunciations of : Poughkeepsee, Poquetanuck, Schenectady, Sault Ste.Marie, and Louisville. I do agree that the presenter could have prepared himself with investigation of the pronunciation of Reading. United States has a Reading (in Pennsylvania). Pronunciation is like "redding". And "Durham" is the name of a popular tobacco. He might have done better. Thank you for your comment.

Churchill the heroe? Who is responsible for the decline of the Empire? Who was also responsible (Not alone I k now) to make a Local conflict Hitler together with Stalin against Poland... to a World Wide
conflict with Millions of victims ? WHO Promised to Defense Poland and handed over this Country
to the Mass Murder Stalin... Not ONLY Poland also half Europe and half the world.?
Who Made the Mass Murder STALIN ,with Mill ions of Victims and Death camps to the best Friends of
England and U S ? Who had by the end of WW2 the Plan of a 3 WW against Russia together with
100.000 German Soldiers... Project UNTHINKABLE which was Secret until 1998.. es usual.
Who refused all Peace offers from Hitler ( Sure Hitlet was a criminal ) After France was occupied( as You k now ONLY the half Country m,Why Hitler stopped? AND Dünkirchen , Why Hitler stopped?
To Support the heroe Churchill? Who was told Every Day be drunken (Not True? Maybe.
I guess Your extraordinary heroe was very unhappy when he died, because He was aware, the Fairness of FATE
took all was he was fighting for Thank You History You are very fair. Now,they try BREXIT in order to Rule Waves again. Not the Population of England ! It is like ever a special CLIQUE of the Upper Class
