Hi Buddy! No good news from me today.....I hope the re-introduced GAMO CFX has had some modifications to make it better, but i don't think so. I've repaired serval of them and all had the same problems. Bend springs and leaking seals. The turing breechblock is a pellet skirt squeezer. If you are wondering about a lot of flyers then you know now why. The CFX needs to be striped totally to replace those seals, and the main cause of those destroyed seals are lead particles. When i pushed out the breech blocks from those rifles after i've had removed the piston, behind all of those blocks it was filled with sharp lead dirt and grease. The sharp lead particles have been cut from the peller skirts and will be transported by the grease over and over and will damage the front seal in no time. The next reason of destroyed seals is that the piston bumps with every shot on that breech block and will crush the seals after a while. The breech block squeezes the pellet skirts often just a little bit so you don't mention when you're closing it and it will result in a flyer. I don't like the CFX and is in my opinion just a very, very bad designed wannabee HW97. Cheers!

I really appreciate this great comment and all the in sight in it as well.
I actually have another video coming out talking about issues I am already having with the gun shortly after making this video and your comment has just answered several of my questions that I was having with the gun.
It was shooting great and then I ran a couple dry patch clothes down the barrel to clean it about 3 or 4 times was all and now it is shooting all over the place.
and after hundreds of pellets I cannot get it dialed back in.
And what you have just tole me in your comment makes so much sense so I really appreciate it.
I will probably do another follow up video now using some of your information to help others out.
In my next video on this gun I did flat out say I would not recommend this air rifle to anyone after the issues that have arose with it.
So thanks again and I am going to pin your comment to the top so everyone will see it as well.

@@rapalaron6348 I just want to say thanks again for your comment as you saved me a lot of time frustration and un wasted tins of pellets trying to figure out what was the deal with this rifle.
everything clicked as soon as I read it as I was already way down the rabbit hole with this air rifle.
And I could not agree more that is way we are here to share information to help the next guy or girl so the do not waste there hard earned money on something that is not going to be a good product.
I only do reviews on things I am interested in and I am not trying to sell anyone anything just trying to give them good information so they can decide for themselves.
But man you are a life saver and time saver hear for me with what you know about this rifle and it all makes sense.
I did pin your comment to the top of the page so I hope everyone reads this conversation.
and I am going to make a follow up video as well reading your comment and and explaining it so they will understand the issues better with this rifle.
On top of the fact I will be stating again that I do not recommend this air rifle to anyone as it needs to go back to the drawing board in my opinion.
Anyway thanks for the help and thanks for watching the videos and the channel I appreciate it and the support.

@@BravoBassin I can also tell you what next will happen with the CFX mate. Grease will be blown out between the loading breech block and compression tube. This whole construction sucks and that wat makes me mad is that GAMO know this. They sold thousands and thousands of them and must have complains within the warranty time and re--introduce the same crap on the market again without any modification done to it. No new design costs, populair underlever model, big win win and we will see who is gonna to complain........
I have to apologize about my English if it's not always as it should be but i do my best. Maybe i told you before i'm from the north of Sweden. I know a lot about HW springers because i,m a HW guy. I know a lot about fishing reels and i collect vintage ABU, i do reel service and repair and have lost of parts for them. I do also collect vintage German made Puma knives and some other brands like vintage Buck, while my best friend who is just living on the other side of the border and is producing Norway's if not Scandinavian best and most beautiful handcrafted knives money can buy. Guns, hunting, fishing, airgun shooting.... We have a lot same interets buddy 😁👌Like your channel and i will try to look also more to your fishing vids. Cheers!

@@rapalaron6348 So funny you say that as I am seeing grease around the loading breach block already as well.
and your english is fine my friend better then some americans lol!
I have sevveral weihrauch air rifles the HW50s, HW77K, HW97K stainless with thumb hole synthetic stock and I got my wife the Beeman R7 which is the HW30s both are made in the same factory in Germany which I am sure you know.
I love all of those air rifles and plan on buying many more as well as a few diana and air arms.
Love my high end spring air rifles over any of the others.
I will be moving away from reviewing the more budget air rifles and focusing on the high end ones like the weihrauch, Dianas and Air arms stuff.
I may throw a budget one in here are there that grabs my attention but I would rather just buy the high end ones instead and not waste my time or money anymore on these budget guns.
I have a couple more older budget ones I will be reviewing and going over that i have had for awhile but after that it will be the Higher end stuff as there is just nothing better then shooting them over these budget ones there is really no comparison.
its like comparing a Ferrari to a Volkswagon lol!
Anyway cool you like fishing and knives as well.
thanks again for all the info it has been a big help.
      stay in touch.

I have the Gen 1 called the Accu in 22 caliber since 2015 . It came with the Centerpoint 3x9x40mm AO which held zero for a while , then I had to replaced it with a one piece mount and a UTG 3X12X44mm side focus . I will be watching your video on the issues you experienced with great interest . Mine doesn't sound as loud as yours ? No problems others have mention with mine , just the scope so far . Mine likes the Crosman Premier hollow points 14.3 grains from Wallys World . I must admit that I don't sit at bench and shoot hundreds of rounds at a time , so maybe those problems are in the future I don't know . Mine doesn't leak or do anything weird so far. With 9 years on the clock I have maybe 500 rounds through it give or take? I have many choices of airguns to shoot . I own 4 other Gamo's with zero issues or minor problems such as the bundled scopes . Always end up replacing them .

      @BravoBassin  6 месяцев назад +1

thanks for the great comment I appreciate the input. I shot over 500 rounds in the first week with it and then another 500 the next about 100 hundred shoots a day on average.
I made the first video after the first week and as you can see it was doing well.
After that it tanked which you will see in the next video that will be out in a couple weeks.
I just filmed a final video on what I have learned and why the gun is having issues and what is causing them.
I did not try and bash gamo the company as I hae 3 other gamo air rifles that I love and have had zero issues with and still recommend them all the time.
But I cannot in good conscience recommend this air rifle to any one after having the issues it has had in less then 2 weeks and talking to several others that have had or are having the same issues.
I feel I have to at least address the issues and the situation so others can make up there own minds about this air rifle.
I love my other gamo air rifles but for me and in my opinion I feel they need to go back to the drawing board with this one.

I also pinned a comment at the top of the video as well that I hope everyone reads as it answered some of the questions I was having about the issues that started popping up.
in this video I spent a about a week shooting it first before making the video and it was rock solid.
but that has now changed sincemthen and I would not recommend this rifle to anyone currently till I can figure out what is going on with it.
my second video talking about this and showing the issues will be out next week.
I always try and be honest and up front with everything I do and review on this channel
and if something is having issues I want people to know.
I am not trying to sell anyone anything I have no sponsors I just review and show stuff I like.

@@jimmywarren6685 well that is not good at all and I am sorry to here that.
Did you check to make sure all your screws were tight when you first got it.
unfortunately they are not always tight when you first get the rifle from the factory and then when you start shooting things can go wrong quick.
Not saying that is what happened but I always check to make sure everything is good and tight first before shooting.
As far as the trigger situation that is another story.
I would contact gamo and get a replacement as there is a warranty on these air rifles.
Must be in the air as the gamo CFX i just got has tanked on me as well did not even last 2 weeks.
I hope you can get a replacement keep me updated.
My DX is still going strong so far.

hello , if a airgun has (getting)large groups , its loosescrews , a scope failure .(sometimes hard to find) mounts , leaks,
pellet spinning and speed difference wil get a shotgun pattern. ( if pellets are ok )
spinning and flyers happen if the gun is at the top of the speed that can stabilize a pellet of that gun ,
and harmonics , the barrel starts moving while the pellet is not even started and with speed difference you get large groups , because the barrel lets go the pellet in a different direction

    • @BravoBassin

no argument there I 100% agree I actually have another video coming out next week that I did a week later after spending another full week shooting the CFX talking about all the issues that have arisen with the gamo CFX since I made this first video.
I also got some great insight and it literally explained and helped me figure out what the issues were.
I pinned the comment at the top so everyone can read it.
this gun needs to go back to the drawing board for sure and I can not and would not recommend it to anyone.
during my first week shooting it and testing it I thought it was going to be a pretty good rifle so I made this first video.
after the next week I was not even going to post this video but decided to so people could use it as a reference.
next weeks video will show how far south and down hill this gone went in a week.
Very disappointed now in this rifle and I plan on making one final video now that I have some concrete facts on the issues with this rifle and why no one should buy it.
