  • Gamo CFX 22 issues with the gun that you need to know!! Watch before you buy!!
So I have run into a few issues with this rifle and in this video i am going to show you what they are as well as we are going to talk about how they started to come about.
My hope is that this video will help out others and that I might get some help myself on figuring out what is up with this rifle???

Most are probably good but the Gamo that I bought once was a lemon. It shot so far from the point of aim that adjusting the scope or rear sight was useless. The store wouldn't take a return and Gamo wouldn't help either and it was a complete waste of money that is now long gone.

I have 3 other gamo air riffles that are great but ya this one I have found out has major design flaws and I have another video on the way as I have found out what the issues and design flaws are and want to at least let people know what these issues are as I cannot recommend this air rifle to anyone.

Its amazing how much things change during the break in period. I've spent a small fortune on pellets in the past 50 years and still loving every minute of it. I ran 2 dry patches through my Fusion Gen 3 about 2 weeks ago, I'll never do that again. It took about 30 shots to get tight again. Its got 1,845 shots on it and shoots very good with Red Fire pellets. Great job with the videos, I really enjoy them!!!

thanks for the great comment and ya it is amazing how things can change during the break in periods with air rifles.
unfortunately this gun is way past that point and i have another video coming out soon as I have found out what some of the major issues are that are causing the air irfle to have issues and it is not good.
Gamo really dropped the ball with this air irfle and really either needs to stop making it or go back to the drawing board with it.
I have learned a whole lot since I first got it and I just want to make sure other's at least know what I have found out so they can make a good informed decision when thinking about buying this air rifle.
A for mine it is now a paper weight sitting in a gun cabinet taking up space.

Wow that is crazy ! My 9 year old gun in 22 caliber is way different ( same gun just a name change ) . Not something to enter field target competitions but still not that bad. Normally I don't clean barrels , just shoot out of the box . Initially mine came with a Centerpoint 3x9x40mm AO and I was doing great then for whatever reason it failed to hold zero ? Replaced with a UTG scope . Never did try the iron sights . Its hard for me to spend 20.00 plus dollars on these fancy pellets , mine likes the Crosman 14.3 grain hollow points from Wally . Just got the new Hunter Extreme 25 caliber (wood & metal ) and it didn't seem to like the JSB 25.39 grain so I found some H&N 20.06 grain on sale . Wow I think it is in love . Maybe after break-in I will try them again . Impressed with H&N pellets so far . Again I didn't clean the barrel ? My Hunter Extreme .177 took over 1,000 rounds before it finally settled in , now a tack driver with Crosman 10.5 grain . Is it to late to return it ? I don't care who makes what none of them are perfect . I returned a Diana model 54 Air King Pro 22 caliber and a Dragonfly .177 caliber , got a replacement Dragonfly and it is awesome so far .

Gamo needs to go back to the drawing board with this gun I have spent way to much time on this rifle already and do not plan on wasting anymore of my time on it.
I am not new to owning or shooting air rifles and I have owned a few air rifles that need a settling in period but this is not one of them.
I put htese videos out so that other people will know what they might be getting into with this air rifle.
If you want a project gun this is definitely it.

Thanks a lot for these videos about the gun. I had my eyes on it for a while now and was close to purchase one as my first gun and I'm glad you made this video.
I'm just curious, shouldn't one clean the barrel before shooting? Otherwise the gun would be damaged? I heard that from the Airgun Channel, not sure how correct it is.
Also do you have another under lever gun you would recommend?
    Thanks again for the videos

    • @BravoBassin
      @BravoBassin  5 месяцев назад +3

well you are not going to damage your gun if you do not clean the barrel right out of the box.
unfortunately there are some real Karen types that will tell you all kinds of crazy stuff.
Now most air rifles come with some type of packing grease in the barrel and it is a good idea to clean it out.
Some people clean the barrel as soon as they get it others do not.
for me I usually just run a dry patch or 2 and then a bore snake and call it good and then go shoot it.
And most really good air gun shooters will tell you and i will agree if your air irfle is shooting well do not clean the barrel if it starts shoot off and it is not the sights scope or loose stock screws then clean the barrel.
I rarely clean my barrels unnless I start getting a bunch of flyers.
Now as far as under lever rifles if you can afford it I suggest you get a weihrauch HW77k or weihrauch HW97K and once you do you will never want to shoot any budget air rifle again and that is a promise.
If that is out of your price range the go for the weihrauch HW50s or weihrauch HW30s they are both under $400 and amazing german made air rifles that you will pass down to your grand kids.
Also the beeman R7 or Beeman R9 are great air rifles as well.
I would not waste my time or money on the budget air rifles I would just buy one top of the line air rifle and save your self all the frustrations and just enjoy shooting a great air rifle.
I have only reviewd these budget air rifles as I know most are looking at them when getting itno air rifles but moving foward with my channel I will be fazing out the budget air rifle reviews and just doing higher end top of the line stuff as they are just way better and so much nicer to shoot and enjoy and will last you and your kids a few life times.
But that is just my 2 cents.
check out air guns of Arizona for the wiehrauchs and also diana which are another great german air rifle as well.
      hope that helps.

@@BravoBassin.

@@A.Romanov So your telling me that all these companies besides Air arms puts a thick grease in there brand new gun that will actually damage it?
How does that even make any sense?
Other then cleaning my barrel with a bore snake I have never done anything to any air rifle I have owned and I have been shooting them since I was a kid.
I think you fella's over sea's got sold some B.S. years ago that this is what you had to do when you got an air rifle.
